This whole episode is awesome. Yes you will need a good bread knife. If any of the early loaves were gummy it is because the loaf was too warm when cut before the crumb could set. Still it all looks delicious and drool worthy. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍 It’s so nice to be caught up as close to realtime as possible with the channel. More on the way. I’m trying to stick to an episode a week but just can’t wait to release the next one once it’s done. 😜
I hope the gutters get fixed soon! Your chickens are so adorable....where did you get the chicken "vests"? You are doing great and I love your authentic, real videos. Keep them coming!😊
Thank you for the kind comment. So appreciate it. The chicken jackets I found on Amazon. Rusty is a little ruff on the girls and their back feathers are gone where he's done his business as well as others pecking I believe when skin is exposed. So the jackets help keep the pecking down and the skin covered.
Oh they are just so adorable! Thank you for getting back to me on that. Well we enjoy your videos. I try to watch between all the busy homestead chores, etc...I just can't wait to get to gardening!
Thank you Bill! Today I tried something new with my bread and am doing a cinnamon swirl loaf and a chocolate chip loaf... time for some yummy sweet treats for the mornings.
We to had a false spring. That bread looks yummy glad to see spirit is feeling good now. Have a good week Happy Easter I’m off to Nunavut for work so talk to you guys in the middle of April hopefully warmer by then lol
We are in our second to third false spring here right now with a winter weather advisory that just came thru the phones this afternoon... Old man winter is still hanging on by a thread here.
I was just chatting with another about making some for bread bowls. I am going to start looking for the perfect vessel to use to shape into smaller bread bowl sizes.
I have been told that there is a lot of nitrogen and phosphorous in chicken droppings plus some other strong stuff. It can ‘burn’ plants if it’s not weathered for at least a season. Like the look of the bread😛👍phil🇬🇧
Yes... we put the chicken dropping in a compost pile to sit and brew... I just did a cleaning and when the snow melts will add to our pile from last year. As always thanks for stopping by.
I can’t even imagine the expense to heat that! However it is done it’s something we never considered. Just not economical. It’s expensive enough just to heat the house. 😜
This is the first time I've seen one of your videos but that bread looks so good girl I want my mouth was sitting here just watering for it very nice video I want to subscribe and then that way I can catch up with you all. From Georgia
Great video! Poor little Sofi on the ice! 😂 The bread and pretzels looked amazing! I have a son that is left handed too! ❤😍. I would've totally still eaten the steak! Great job staying calm Gary!
Hi there, enjoyed your Video from Germany 🙋 your bread Looks so yummy, and If you wanna her yourself a very good breadknife, i highly recommend a breadknife from fiskars. Their knifes are amazing ☝️ have a good one❤
You should meet you you should’ve made a hole in the middle of the bread so you could put soup inside of it. I like when you have soup inside the sourdough bread is so good specially the broccoli cheddar soup in there.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Next time! I was just talking to one of my neighbors about doing sourdough bread bowls. I will be on a search for a container that will shape the dough its a bowl better.
Yes Gary did boil them. I didn’t catch that part as I was in the office editing videos. LOL 😂 but once he started baking and I could smell them, that drew me out.
Because the builder never finished the house… we’re approximately 98% done with exterior paint, gutters and a few things inside that haven’t been completed. We reached a point in the summer of 2022 where the relationship between us and him was severed and we are on our own to finish it out. The gutter guy was paid in advance for the job and if he continues to ghost us legal action is our next logical step.
@@kosta16auto unfortunately no and that is why I haven’t put out their name on this channel. Although we got a beautiful house in the end I wouldn’t want you to go through what we did. I realize it’s a bit different now that we are pretty much out of the pandemic but when a builder ghosts you at one of the most critical times of the build just before the end… nope I can not recommend. We were warned before we built but in 2021 he was the ONLY builder in the Valley that would take on our build.
So happy to see Spirit is doing so good!! 🫶
Yes... so are we. That was a rough time for all three of us. Thanks for commenting.
Electric knife is the best knife for cutting homemade bread..I had mine for over 30 years..love it
I use to have one that we used to filet fish... I'll definitely look into one. thanks for your suggestion.
OMGosh!!! That blooper was hilarious!

Thank you Miss Dee! More from our kitchen is coming up!
Your editing on your videos lately has been profoundly amazing!❤
Well food is involved so I know you would enjoy! HAHAHAHA Good to see you my friend and thanks for stopping by to say hello.
Yeah Stacey sourdough success! Beautiful loaf of bread. Good to hear Gary is enjoying the stove. Nice to see what you two have been up to.

You are too funny. The steak looked delicious. I would eat it too.
10 second rule right??? LOL Poor Gary... I am shocked he kept his exposure when it all happened.

Thank you Bill! Today I tried something new with my bread and am doing a cinnamon swirl loaf and a chocolate chip loaf... time for some yummy sweet treats for the mornings.
Great content! Still not sure I'm convinced that Gary thought that the small mishap was near as funny as you did....Looking forward to the next one.

So glad spirit is doing better. That bread looks so good.
Thank you so much Joann! We are glad she's back to her self these days. Thanks for reaching out again this week!
I’m amazed you didn’t do a heated driveway.

Great video! Poor little Sofi on the ice! 😂 The bread and pretzels looked amazing! I have a son that is left handed too! ❤😍.
I would've totally still eaten the steak! Great job staying calm Gary!
Gary handled it like a boss and it still turned out awesome. LOL I am still giggling.
Awesome video! Nothing beats a ribeye and baked potato! And YAY for Spirit!!!🎉
You got that right... even when it falls to the floor. LOL
@@LivingFreeAlaska the five second rule applied! 😃😃

Yes… they flew right out of the oven. 😂😜

With the bagel bits did you boil them and then bake them. They look really delicious.
Yes Gary did boil them. I didn’t catch that part as I was in the office editing videos. LOL 😂 but once he started baking and I could smell them, that drew me out.
bread knife is sherraded
Yes... our cutco knife is a serrated bread knife... just not working thru the bread very well.
Why the builder wouldn’t finish the gutters back then?
Because the builder never finished the house… we’re approximately 98% done with exterior paint, gutters and a few things inside that haven’t been completed. @@LivingFreeAlaska seriously, I checked their website and based on your house I waned to consider this builder for our future plans. Not recommended?
