Supposedly "original gangster”, can be seen as “old generation", personally viewed as “old-school”.🤓
I became an avid Korean music aka Kpop listener/lover since 1998. Korean and rap music were my coping mechanisms from the bullying I experienced in middle school through high school and my love for the genre has stuck by me ever since.
Unfortunately, I took a huge break from Korean music around 2015 when I was officially diagnosed with lupus nephritis and seizures; I was receiving and battling years of chemotherapy and dialysis along with taking 32 pills a day, so I had no mental/emotional/spiritual room to keep myself updated with the genre. Luckily, I'm in remission now! Doesn't mean that lupus and seizures are gone because I am still very capable of frequent flare-ups of I don't take care of myself, but I make sure to do so enough to manage and live as "normally" as possible.
When I made this TH-cam name, I was thinking from my graphic-design-major perspective of a brand that will not only describe what my content will be about but will also align with the times, and y’all know that “Kpop stans” have been a thang for awhile now so hence the cringe-worthy title, OG KPOP STAN. (My love for Eminem is also relevant.😂) ALSO! Just to be SUPER clear- me calling myself an "OG kpop stan" does NOT mean that anyone who's listened to kpop after me is inferior or less-than. A kpop lifestyle is a kpop lifestyle regardless of time. Please don’t get that sh*t twisted.😛

Anyway, I recommend you to watch Yeji's Artist of the Month's performance at Studio choom. As well as Lee Chaeyeon's performance, Chaeryeong's sister.
This performance is essentially the culmination of all their year end performance, the hiphop inspired not shy dance in the beginning, the main dancer duo dance during AAA awards, and Wannabe during KBS gayo.

Chaeryeong is the group’s main dancer, vocalist, and rapper!Chaeryeong has a long history as a trainee under JYP Entertainment! In 2013, she and her sister IZ*ONE‘s Chaeyeon appeared on the show K-Pop Star 3, and wowed everybody with their incredible dancing skills!They eventually signed on with JYP Entertainment as trainees, and 2 years later in 2015, again competed together in the survival show that made TWICE, SIXTEEN
Chaeryeong failed to make it to the final lineup of TWICE, but remained under JYP Entertainment while her sister Chaeyeon left the agency and signed under WM Entertainment as a trainee. Chaeryeong would continue to train, and later made an appearance on the show Stray Kids with the other members (except Lia).
After 6 long years of training, Chaeryeong finally made her debut with ITZY in 2019!

If you ever watch an itzy rehearsal or twice rehearsal, they go 90-100 percent in their dancing. Most groups/dance groups always do like 60-70 to save energy for the actual performance but these girls work hard. look at the twice one in guam. it's super hot but they're still going all out with their dance moves
I can't wait to see their first real concert with an audience, the staging may be incredible.

The one who design this entire sequence of choreography put all other self-proclaimed "professional choreographer" back into amateur level again. This is what Professional standard supposed to be.
(Of course they need those as talented as Itzy to execute it so perfectly, otherwise no one regardless how professional choreographer they are, they wouldn't dare to design all these sequence to other non-professional dancers as well)

I'm glad you pointed out Chaeryeong!! I love them all, and I really try to pay them equal attention, but Chaer without fail catches my eye every time. I don't stan ITZY, but her fluidity and control are some of the best in Kpop.
