Oh, what a fun surprise! Interesting that breeding has begun before conditioning with live food. It’s rather a fine line tho, isn’t it? I’m sure YOU plan for some “down time” to allow birds to recover from breeding…..but Nature…..she has other plans now and then! Get those worms!❤️
This was really a surprise, I have not encouraged any breeding for a year just because I don’t have room. I did recently start up my stream again- I wonder if the running water was a trigger or maybe more humidity in the air (and wet winter) means rainy season came early to them?
my grey-headed olive back passed away years ago along with several other birds when I got mice in the aviary. horrible day. All of the other species have gone to breeders who really want to focus on them.
