Welcome back, pal. These are exactly the questions I've been asking myself since the English release was announced. I'm so glad you're back and the Digimon content is a great return. I want to know more about what to expect and how to approach deck building so I can get the most for my money. At the moment, I'm leaning toward just starter decks like I'm doing with Pokemon, but when there's a booster set involved, the temptation to expand is always real. Especially when I'm invested in the characters like with Digimon and Pokemon.
For suggestions, I would be interested in color breakdowns. Walking through the unique options and cool cards in each color. It could be a neat little series.
Good for you on you free days. Without a doubt you needed the rest. Thanks for the video as well. Still doubtful as to which get since my favorite digimon isn’t out yet and don’t know what color it could be but have a possibility. Keep up the good work
I wanna see a broke bois video every once in a while where you talk about a dirt cheap deck(or like all commons/uncommons) that isnt terrible but doesnt have to be top tier It just has to be able to win games
Are there advised ratios/staple choices in DTCG like other games? (Such as no. of lands in MTG, or must have perfect guards in CFV). A deckbuilding guide for a beginning meta player would be sick!
Confirm your digimon may Digivolve(In this game Digivolve may let you draw a card),most of the time when you build a deck you need to put about around 12(or more?) level3 and build up a pyramid like system(there is some exceptional case like level 3 weenie and some Kaiser nail contained deck.) Putting some Digimon with a low digivolve cost to let you quicken the Digivolving to let you gain advantages and convience of memory control.
Red seems like the most bang for your buck to me, with Greymon, Terra Force, and Phoenixmon. All of which are consistently used in high tier decks. While Terra Force and Phoenixmon might get power creeped on by more efficient mons, I feel like Greymon will always be a standard staple. Just a great, solid effect while being cheap.
Tassy as someone that’s played every major card game under the sun, I def agree with your thoughts on Greymon (pending you referring to the one that guys jammer).
i really love your digimon tcg playmat based off the vpets. do you know where you got it, its really cool!! if anyone knows about it please let me know
I know that you went to UCSD, but you mentioned you were an Econ Major. I think I had you in at least one of my Econ classes with either Prof Sinitsyn, Famulari, or Santamaria. I vaguely remember you because of your hairdo. I think it was a little longer and more slicked/combed up back then though. I graduated after Spring 2019 to put things into perspective. Man, if only I knew you were also into card games back then.
I generally like that there is a large majority of build around cards that have some advantage in the already large meta pool. Granted some are just a tad better. But to come out the door with so many being viable in terms of how to play or at least just needs a little more in it's card pool to pop off like the best of the best is very rare. Which makes the level of entry pretty solid. When the best, best cards are just from the starter decks and with a little luck. A single booster box. Makes really everything viable and everything worth getting. If not now. Most likely later from how much support this game is getting.
So will the English release have the same decklists or will it be like yugioh which usually changes TCG lists. What’s the drop date in English. I’m fighting the urge to get into this (foil game in FFTCG, play magic and hella into vs system 2pcg). Thanks in advance. Sweet unboxing man. I’m all about blue or green.
Its fairly easy, just 2 important phases in a turn, there is barely interaccion of your opponent in your turn and most digimon just attack or no (attacking left de digimon vurnerable to be attacked)
How often does the red starter lose? I have the red one and I almost lost every time to the other starters. Maybe I'm so bad at playing but it seems that the cards (or at least 2 cards) a very good and worthy but the deck in summary is very shitty in play. What's you impressions and maybe give me some tactical advise, because the (generic) deck advice does not work for me... I'm a little frustrated 😅
Getting pretty interested in this game, always wanted to play a TCG of Digimon as I never got into any of the others. Out of curiosity, if just getting 1 or 2 of the 3 starter decks, is it worth to buy 2 copies in order to get 4 copies of the ones that are only 2 ofs in the starter deck?
Mason Norman competitively yes; financially, depends on potential single prices for the cards in the starter decks. If it is me I would pick 2 of the 3 decks and get two copies of each so I have the play sets and then I would wait and see the single prices for the other one
Between me already having Phoenix and Braveshield I might want this red deck. Though I do also have Airdramon and Ankylomon who have cool security abilities
Terraforce is too good i think. 8 Memory to just DELETE a Digivolution line AND it has a Security that forces it to be used? If you are Using a Red deck and need clear, That's Straight up the best card and you should always use it.
Jus pulled a beezlemon from my starter deck booster pack ! Freaking out
Congrats
Loved the video man keep up the great Digicontent! I pre-ordered 1 of each starter and 2 booster boxes hopefully that’s more than enough!
Thx bud much appreciated hope the pulls are dope!!
Red is power
Blue kills inherited abilities
Yellow is support/keeping your security deck alive.

Get after it homie!
I WANT THAT PLAYMATTT
I can’t wait !! I want to use mastemon !
That mat looks so good ! We need a link!!
I might get 2 red starter decks in November. I really want the Terra force card
2 red and 2 blue would get you sorted imo
For suggestions, I would be interested in color breakdowns. Walking through the unique options and cool cards in each color. It could be a neat little series.
Dang dude I've just started watching this channel and dis is some quality content, MMMMMMMM MMM

I was in all of their classes at one point or another so it is possible. Lol that would’ve been so cool
Great video. Hope you had a good rest. I was wondering if you could share where you got the decks from?

short answer, every deck is the best.
it all depends what cards you add to it.
Where did you get that playmat? Really would like to get one.
Very well done video and I'm sure it'll continue to get more support as people learn more about the release of Digimon TCG. Thank you!

ill believe they will be the same. No reason to think otherwise. Pre orders for NOV and official reelase in Jan 2021
Can you do a walkthrough of a game? Explain all your actions, phases, rules of the game?
Its fairly easy, just 2 important phases in a turn, there is barely interaccion of your opponent in your turn and most digimon just attack or no (attacking left de digimon vurnerable to be attacked)
He has a video from about a month ago that talks about the card types, steps, and rules of the game. Gives a good explanation of the game.
Connor Thompson yea I saw that. I want to see it in action tho.
I second this, it would help understand the game.
There is also the tutorial app. That helps a bit.
Yellow is the worst? Oh no, I had no idea, what a twist...
*Tsunomon
*Kaiser Nail > Wolf's Claw
I'll be getting all 3 starter decks🤩
They could have improve Cocytus breath's effect but at least its a bit cheaper cost than gaia force
Glad to see you again buddy 🥰🥰🥰
All I am getting is that, "Buy 2 of every starter decks."
Also welcome back and hope to see your reviews on Union Impact.
He said only to buy 2 of red what do you mean
How often does the red starter lose?
I have the red one and I almost lost every time to the other starters. Maybe I'm so bad at playing but it seems that the cards (or at least 2 cards) a very good and worthy but the deck in summary is very shitty in play.

Hey are you still in San Diego?
If so where can I get these decks? Comics n stuff doesn’t have them :(

@@TrueChampionSteven Thanks for the advice. Red and Blue are the most attractive at the moment personally
Isn't weregarurumon's skill is an "Inheritance skill" or "Digivolve effect"? Where it can only be used when weregarurumon digivolved into a mega form.
Between me already having Phoenix and Braveshield I might want this red deck.
Though I do also have Airdramon and Ankylomon who have cool security abilities
Is there a way to actually buy these? They are sold out and will hopefully be in large supply in January? Did they have a huge pre-release?
Where did you get your play mat good sir ?
Stumbled onto to this channel and now regret it as I have found another card game to add to my list to collect
Are these standard size or Japanese sized? Just curious for sleeves when the products drop.
Standard
i thought that the starter decks come with a pack 🤔
The English ones do
@@TrueChampionSteven alright thanks 🤩
Hi is gamenerdz a legitimate site to preorder these cards for English release?
whats your opinion on blue or red omegamon deck?
Where did you get that playmat???
Cho sugoi shop
Where did you get that mat?
Cho sugoi from the Facebook group
Question. I'm trying to order some tgc cards from Japan. I'm located in the usa. Was wondering if you can help out.
Aren‘t there 1st Editions in the Cardgame? I think it is Important for ongoing collectors
I haven’t seen any stamps or box markers but once we get some product here in the us there might be
I think the blue structure decks the strongest out of the 3 on release
Side question how’s tachikaze pulls been for ya
Where do you get the Digimon cards English decks I want some pleaseee answer
I like how this video still holds up to the english release
So the way Holy Flame works is if I use it on an opponent’s digimon he cannot attack my security stack??
Would the Japanese set hold more value to collectors? I'm still unsure if I want to play and collect or just collect at this point
Probably not as I’m sure once the English set arrives those cards will be quite valuable
its hard to get english version at my place
Do you know what makes a good card game??
where did u already buy them?
I don't know why I feel Red need a level 5 blocker because level 4 cards are so crowded in quality
what is the size of the cards? japanese size, like yugioh and vanguard? or is it standard/us size?
standart like magic
man i wish these stayed near $15 a pop now adays. Seems impossible to find below $30
THAT PLAYMAT OMG
How can I upgrade each starter on a budget with cards from the first booster?
people say that green is the best deck is it true🤔
I bought 3 of each for $8 each feeling pretty good about it also got a box for $60 for packs :)
Where did you get the box for $60?
@@Zero13190 gamenerdz
@@corpsefenn are they trustworthy?
@@Zero13190 where I buy all my sealed for Yu-Gi-Oh.
@@corpsefenn nice i usually buy my cards at tcgplayer but thanks for the link they're all sold out so might have to get them at my locals
is there a place to play the game online?
Terraforce is too good i think. 8 Memory to just DELETE a Digivolution line AND it has a Security that forces it to be used? If you are Using a Red deck and need clear, That's Straight up the best card and you should always use it.
Six cost birdramon is garudamon lol
My locals sold em for $20 and the boxes were $100
How is spending 10 cost first turn good lol
Challenges ahead it’s only good in starter deck format where the removal options are very limited
As anyone ever told you that you look like a more handsome Mike Trapp (CH)?
Steven where have you been I thought you were dead 😭
Dang this video didn't age well when it comes to the yellow starter lol
From my experience
Gaia's red sucks
Cocytus Blue is good
heavens yellow is fun.
15? they're 40 online rip Thank god for tabletop sim and japanese cards
15 on release???? They charging 25 to 20 here in New York.. the prices they have here make me not even wanna try the game...
So, let me understand, is this game expencive to play?
Kysart Sarglin no the game is officially released this month it's about 8 bucks per deck
But Seraphimon though

Bruh, magangemon is great
