The fan - the first cover Cesar did with them was We're Good, and he popped that fan open at just the right time. It's made appearances in a couple of their covers since then. Trying to make sense of all the back shenanigans convinces me that they are all 12 years old at heart. In addition to We're Good, I'll recommend the cover they did of Prince' Kiss.
Like Home Free, Voice Play loves having fun and being silly and goofy! One of the many reasons we love both groups! I love this cover very much! So much going on and they sound great!! If only Deejay could join the group permanently!
At one point in the background Geoff and Layne were backing up toward each other while looking at their phones. Turns out they were each filming themselves (and each other) and the footage ended up in the BTS for patrons.
I think the BTS one you were thinking of is called the "Hotter Remix", where they have a lot of goofiness going on in the background too. Voiceplay's version is fun and different.
VoicePlay has said they have their own "brand of dumb" and you need to watch the video several more times, concentrating on one member at a time, to catch all the shenanigans. As to a song to try next, how about checking out If I Were a Rich Man, or Bang!, or Queen in Five Minutes
