  • In the Bible's history, few narratives grip humanity's memory as deeply as the Ten Plagues. This period, documented in our documentary, saw Egypt suffer divine disasters, exhibiting God, Yahweh's omnipotence. Even compared to 21st-century catastrophes, these Biblical Plagues eclipse any disaster we've witnessed.
Our Bible history documentary explores each plague's unprecedented devastation along the Nile, each worse than its predecessor. This exploration offers a compelling look into these monumental Bible events and their magnitude, bridging ancient narratives and modern-day calamities.
If the historical depth of the Bible fascinates you, our captivating documentary on the Ten Plagues promises a compelling journey through the history that has shaped us all.

Well, it took me a year to get to the end of this masterpiece of documentary cinematography....... And it really is a masterpiece....... it brought together so much of my previous reading and thinking; sixty years of it.........DO NOT miss this video! As I look back, I see early documentary films concentrating upon singular temples and tombs and such, but now there is a much broader approach, and entire complexes and settings are studied, and a larger, more complex picture emerges. Bravo!!!

I'm bummed out I only have this lifetime to learn about all fascinating things and there are more things left to be discovered and researched and I just want to know! Biblical stuff usually make me fall asleep, but add science and historical proof of things to it and I can stay awake days reading or watching about it.

The real poignant question is not that of how seemingly simplistic the plagues were, but rather why the pagan Egyptians god touted to be so powerful, could not then over power these simple forces of nature.
      .
The author of this video "The Biblical Plagues: Duel On The Nile," documentary, attempts to use the simplicity of what caused the Biblical plagues sent by the God of Moses, onto Egypt, for holding His people captive, enslaving them, and preventing them from worshiping Him. The author is amiss to believe that the simplicity of what caused the plagues is what should be noted, in that the main point is, that the fact that simple circumstances common to nature, can bring down their so-called mighty gods. Their god of the Nile, brought down by red-tide, as their pagan god was not strong enough to protect the Nile, and save the fish, by preventing an algae overgrowth. The Egyptian's mighty alligator god, if he was so great, should have been able to prevent the curse of the frogs, as alligators eat frogs, yet the frogs defeat the alligators, and take over the kingdom. The mere fact that what is used to prove the lack of strength, proving that the Egyptian's god's were false deities, was not some outlandishly powerful opposition, but rather simple forces of nature, was exactly the point, as the question to then be asked is "where is your mighty god now Egypt, that your gods can not over come this?" The real poignant question is not that of how seemingly simplistic the plagues were, but rather why the pagan Egyptians god touted to be so powerful, could not then over power these simple forces of nature.

Isn't it absolutely wonderful when science proves the existence of God?
They needed many advanced technological processes to figure out the possible creation of these plagues.
Here's where you need to consider.. How did Moses know when these events were going to happen, unless his knowledge was provided by YHWH our creator?
He couldn't go to Pharaoh after they happened and claim he invoked them after the fact...
And lets not forget the last plague which the Jew's honor devoutly..
      'The Passover'
There is zero scientific explanation for that.
I love it when science proves the existence of God!
I believe the 'Cup of Inequity' of the entire planet is over flowing, and God has called for the end!
Satan has been unchained and is wreaking havoc on all mankind!

If I remember correctly from other historical sources, the firstborn child got to sleep on the floor, while the others slept up higher, even on the roofs of their homes. The Hebrews were awake and feasting, as the volcanic gases were low to the ground, and killed anyone sleeping on the floor. That's why only the Egyptian firstborn were slain.

Always important to keep at the forefront that God works through science - in fact, He created it. Moses and those guys back then knew nothing about it, but the Lord did! Science is not a disproving of God, but rather gives us insight into the amazing way that the Lord has made this universe function the way it does.

Coffeyville here, yep held the record until a couple of years back with a huge outbreak of tornadoes. Actually, in April or May of 2002 we had a crazy wall cloud and hail storm with all the hail that fell about the size between golf ball and baseball. just about every west window in town was broken. had trouble getting glass. covered the ground and destroyed my volkswagon fox. My 12-yo daughter and i had just walked out of the grocery store on the far east side of town and there was a very low, dark, ominous, wall cloud that stretch from SW to NE over the city. I turned to my daughter and said we've got to hurry. She looked at me and said okay. I said, No, I mean run! I hurried to the car, we both had 3 or 4 bags of groceries, which I just threw mine in the back seat. She's still looking at me like I've lost my mind. We took off. I told her we gotta get home. Look at that cloud. We had at least 15 blocks to drive with 2 turns. We drove in blinding rain, people were stopped in the road. I told her I can't see but I'm not stopping, I'm not riding a tornado out in a Fox with a sun roof. Drove up the neighbor's driveway and through my yard and parked at the steps, my other two kids came out on the porch (cuz mom's lost her mind) and the first hail was beginning to fall. She said what about the groceries. I said leave it, get in the house. It was so loud it hurt your ears and you couldn't hear anything but the roar of the hail pummeling the house with occasional higher-pitched sounds when it hit the windows. I have good windows and only lost a small aluminum storm window on the west side. No tornado. We were lucky.

Stores usually have one wall that is all glass, and the interior is filled with stock and movable shelves full of merchandise, which can be lethal flying projectiles in a tornado. Safer than a car, yes; but not an ideal place to wait out a storm like that.

Funny how two people can see the exact same "story" in completely opposite ways. I heard that Moses sent the plagues, but also God sent the plagues, because Moses asked him to do so. I also heard very convincing natural and biological explanations - the logical series of natural events from blood water to frogs avoiding poisonous algea (thereby drying out and not eating insects) and the explosion of insect life that follows. To me this is a clear indication for natural disasters, not God's iron fist siding with the Isrealites. You see - God is on Moses' side! Moses certainly needs an imaginary God to emphasize his own glory and power. But okay Irenea - it all comes down to what "we want to be true". To me it is definitely not "deepening faith", no, Moses plays politics with God's name and later with his ten commandments (after being on the mountain quite some time) enough to carve them. But I'm sure he had people who carried his food and water and helped to "design" the tablets (AKA his safety guards). He just came back alone because they could have told quite a different story. LOL. You tell people there is GOD - they believe it - you tell people the paint is wet - they have to touch it.

One powerful thing Left Out in this great documentary is that ALL of those 10 plagues, not just the 10th, were felt by the Egyptians and NOT the Israelites. THAT is where the Power of Yahweh is felt and seen in this possible "natural disaster" in the form of the Volcano Eruption. Yahweh wanted His Power to be talked about in all the land, all nations throughout the World!
Those Hyksos that reigned in 17th century sound maybe like the biblical story of Joseph, the 11th son of Jacob, whose name was changed by Yawherh, to Israel. Joseph was traded by his brothers, to a people traveling to Egypt & the brothers went & told their father Jacob that Joseph was killed. After many years of suffering by Joseph, he was rewarded by Yahweh for his faithfulness to Him & was elevated to be the most powerful man in Egypt, next to Pharaoh. So it makes sense that when he brought his father, Jacob, & the rest of his 11 brothers & all their families over from Canaan to Egypt bc of a great famine, that maybe Joseph was able to appoint them into positions of power as well. Pharaoh ordered for Joseph to settle his family in the best part of Egypt. This would have been Before the great Exodus, of course, as the bible says they remained in Egypt 430 years, or so. But even the description of the clothing, the colorful coat, sounds like a description of Joseph, as he was known for that coat of many colors given to him by his father Jacob/Israel so many years earlier, as a younger boy... By this story, it should be very easy to understand the foreign rule in Egypt, by the Hyksos, & them being overthrown by a later Pharaoh, & then enslaved. They were actually enslaved the worst out of all the slaves, ordered to do More & harder work than all the others, & that now makes sense why; bc they used to be the foreign rulers, so it's easier now to understand the hatred the Egyptians had for these people, based on those archeological discoveries uncovered in this documentary.
This was a great program & I hope there is a follow-up to those discoveries being made!

      Au Contraire my friend..
It does the exact opposite for me.
If we do not do what Jesus taught us, let his spirit guide us and speak of his truth when given the opportunity to do so, we may not hear him, when he calls for his sheep to come home...

Actually, we now know that the ancient Egyptians didn't really use slaves, especially not Jewish slaves, to build the pyramids. They used skilled craftsmen and builders, plus volunteers who wished to please their Pharaoh. The Jewish people actually didn't even appear in Egypt until hundreds of years later. And the Egyptians never took Jewish slaves in this way. Some people actually adored their slaves so much that they actually buried them in their tomb, but in separate burial shafts. This depiction of the ancient Egyptians is religious propaganda.

    • @DeeKate
      @DeeKate 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

@ANTI DIOS My biggest religious pet peeve! You can't just decide your religion is right and what everyone believes about their beliefs is false. Either everyone is right, or everyone is wrong... and I think it's a little obvious which one it is. After studying ancient Egyptian history and religion/shamanism with a zero western religious/atheistic bias. It's very easy to disprove a lot. The science says so. I'm sorry. I went from protestant/Baptist to atheist once I started studying actual history.

Except for that, having been made in the shadow of man. I do not see God, when I look to the White Sands missile base. Enrico Fermi & J Robert Oppenheimer, didn't depict the impact of the two atomic bomb's, detonated above Hiroshima and Nagasaki, with such 'hideous power', it's argued that rightfully, should never have existed. Yet during my entire life, in only 50 short years of life, I was born and have lived under this shadow (Generation X). Grown through the darkest reality to ever face mankind, the prospect of M.A.D or Mutually Assured Destruction by global thermonuclear war. Able to extinghuish all life on this planet, not only humanity, born from consequences of war, scientific progress and ultimately 'fear'.
Jesus stated in the First Epistle to the Corinthians, as said to Peter "get in behind me Satan", is important to be brave and to stand up for what is right and doing so, takes courage. The quote I mentioned from the Bible, specifically the New Testament. In that context, Jesus when addressing Peter, after Peter had expressed concern about Jesus’ impending suffering and death, is an important reminder to stay true and be steadfast in our convictions, even when faced with challenges or adversity, even when and perhaps even more so or especially, when staring certain death in the face.
In Star Wars, Yoda says to Luke, "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to pain, pain leads to suffering. Fear not young Skylwalker!", and Frank Herbert's timeless masterpiece, in "The Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear", the novel DUNE: “I must not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the tiny death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me and when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing, only I will remain.”
Mark Twain once said, “Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not the absence of fear.” Inviting us to view fear and courage as two intertwined forces, rather than opposing. Fear, while innate and protective, can also paralyze. Courage, on the other hand, empowers us to rise above fear, to confront it head-on, and in doin so, to gain mastery over it. It’s a conscious decision to push beyond fear’s boundaries, transforming it to being a catalyst for growth and self-discovery, from one so disempowering. In the caduceus of two serpents, these deadly snakes are unified by fear and courage, in doing so and in being such, is the path leading to ascendance and transcendence.

Balraj Takhar i find your comments sad for they show you have no belief in a loving Creator God and His love for you. Let me ask you, did your car, computer, smart phone, or any other manufactured item, come to be how it is, "by accident"? Obviously there were creative minds behind these things. How more so there must be a Creative Mind behind the creation of the world and the universe and all they contain. Take your own body, it is intricately made and all the systems inside work each in their prescribed way. The blood system, the lymph system, the digestive system and so on. As for the brain and how it works is something no accident could ever make happen. No accident could ever have ever ended in creating something so utterly amazing. Praise God that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, that God knows the number of hairs on our head and that He knit us together in our mother's wombs.
And you are right. I don't need "religious books". But i do need The Word of God, The Holy Bible, for you see, it tells us where we came from, how we were made, the best way to live, for health and happiness, it explains things to come and why, and through it all is the wonderful message of God's love for us. I pray that God will bless you and may you come to know Him. 🌺🌲🌴🐞🐳🐪🐄🌞🌝

Well many Historians have conflicting views on Rohl's evidence for his change in chronologies. I personally have never found a reason to believe his chronology one way or another. We have very little evidence that he is wrong or right. The Bible is an unreliable chronological source and the Egyptian sources do not always successfully give us dates. It provides us with far better evidence for people and events though, which is why the Exodus is so questionable. As we have one piece of evidence for an Exodus and it is simply a tablet with 'Hebrew' written on it.
