A required video for my college course on psychology.
And a fantastic video at that.
Thank you for your research and contributions to science, psychology and the understanding of the human condition, Michael.

I'm really intrigued by the research work done by Micheal Meaney which has brought back from the grave, the Lamarkian way of thinking. But his epigenetic research tests the foundation of law making and the libertarian way of reasoning. Further research by Marcus Pembrey gives cause to believe that fathers who smoke give rise to children pre-disposed to obesity (due to epigenetic factors). So should laws be enacted to curb cigarette use and other toxins that have the potential to affect how an offspring's gene is expressed? (since it doesn't only affect the life of the individual but also children unborn). This may counter the libertarian logic that we own ourselves, because we actually have posterity to account to, should we decide to have offsprings. [ The libertarian logic will not hold unless the individual explicitly decides not to have children]
