When my son was little birthdays meant a cake and the birthday song. One year for my birthday we went on a day trip to celebrate. A great day. On our way home my son asked about the cake and absolutely lost it when I said there wasn't one, the trip was the celebration. He was so offended that his mother was not going to have a cake for her birthday! We had to stop at a grocery store and buy a premade cake to restore his sense of justice in the world lol
So when a b day for the kids falls on a different day than the party- we save one present, buy a bunch of cards, decorate and do a mini celebration that official night. They still think it’s special. They have cards and one good present. Sometimes we get some smaller inexpensive things to open as well. Make a special dinner for the official night. Whatever their favorite meal is. Sometimes we decorate their door and get balloons to put around. And we love watching the home vlogs! Kept me coming they are fantastic 🎉

I'm of an age where I've done the disney thing, seen it, done it got the T shirt, so watching yourselves do things in your part of the world is good for me. Re: your white top 😮, I'm sure you will be able to buy something to take it back to white again, like a white wash booster, we have them here, no harm in giving it a go 😊. I always separate my dark wash from white, it definitely keeps your whites white. Glad you had a lovely birthday weekend, my 65th birthday is coming up in September and me and hubby, who is also coming up to 65, are going to Portugal for a week in November as part of our celebrations. You can wash mixed colors if you put one Shout Color Catcher sheet into the washing machine when washing your clothes. They work great to keep clothes from bleeding colors together.
I have always separated my whites and colors. Nothing sucks more than finding out you accidentally had a red sock in with the whites, things come out pink. 😂

Always separate colors and whites, if you do mix together throw in 1 or 2 Shout Color Catchers to grab the dyes that bleed
