Hi Daniel I tried to reconfigure the X-32 / Pro Tools remote because it used to work but did not anymore since few days... Oddly, when in Peripherals menu in Pro Tols, the X-USB appears in the pre-defined "Send To" but not in the "Receive From"... Any idea what could be wrong ?
Hi Daniel, thats for the videos really helpful! So my church is trying to upgrade our livestream mix by using Ableton to mix down before broadcasting. The problem we have is that our Midas M32 console is located with the band for more inputs and the DL16 is located in the back where we have our priest wireless mics and computer for broadcasting. Is there anyway we can have the DL 16 USB connect to the computer and have access to DL16 inputs as well as M32 inputs for broadcasting? The DL16 and M32 is connected via Cat5e Cable Thanks, John
The usb port on the stagebox is only for firmware updates however there's an interface from klark teknik that looks like a DI box it's called DN9630 that converts AES50 to usb 2.0 so you can run an AES50 cable from your console or stagebox to that interface and a usb cable from the other side and connect it to your computer and record up to 48 channels. So if you want you can record all 32 inputs from the console and 16 inputs from the stagebox and the same time if you connect it to the console directly. If you connect it to the B port of the stagebox you can have access to 40 inputs instead of 48 because 8 of the AES50 channels are being used as outputs 1-8 on the stagebox, unless you're not using any outputs on the stagebox then you can get all 48 inputs to your computer Go to the routing menu -> AES50 B page if you're connected directly to the console on the AES50 B page assign 1-32 to Local 1-32 and assign 33-48 to AES50 A 1-16 now you have all your inputs going out of the B port on the console and you connect that to the interface and the interface to your computer If you want to connect to the B port of the stagebox you're gonna go to routing -> AES50 A page If you're using the outputs on the stagebox leave 1-8 alone on the AES50 A page don't change them and start from 9 and up Assigning them to Local and then AES50 A if you're not using using the outputs on the stagebox then do the routing on the A page like i told you above about the B page And if you wanna mix and match you can always assign the AES50 to user out 1-48 and patch them in the user outputs page
Great tutorial! Any idea how to pan the channels in pro tools from the x32?
Thank you very much Daniel, you are very good! 😃
Lovely video. Thank you for sharing. Do you have a sheet that shows what the "function" buttons on the left of the faders can be used for?
I do not get the option to select the x32 in the receive/send fields … any idea how I would make it so that I do?

Go to the routing menu -> AES50 B page if you're connected directly to the console
on the AES50 B page assign 1-32 to Local 1-32 and assign 33-48 to AES50 A 1-16
now you have all your inputs going out of the B port on the console and you connect that to the interface and the interface to your computer
If you want to connect to the B port of the stagebox you're gonna go to routing -> AES50 A page
If you're using the outputs on the stagebox leave 1-8 alone on the AES50 A page don't change them and start from 9 and up
Assigning them to Local and then AES50 A
if you're not using using the outputs on the stagebox then do the routing on the A page like i told you above about the B page
And if you wanna mix and match you can always assign the AES50 to user out 1-48 and patch them in the user outputs page
