I moved past Brenham City thrice during March and May, 2016 to and from Austin - Houston - Austin. A Beautiful City. Experienced hassle free intersection while coming from Giddings. Nice Experience.

I think with the explosive growth in Austin (and Houston for the matter) Brenham will see tons of tourism and growth in the next 10 years
Tourism. Yes. That's where it ends however. I grew up there until I left for college. My family has acres of farmland that they still live on. The city has always done a great job of keeping that small town feel. I've seen a lot of major companies try to build there, but it meant bringing thousands and thousands of big city strangers and every last one of them were denied by the Chamber of Commerce. While it has definitely grown in population since my school days, I don't see some huge explosion outside of tourism happening. Unless and until there is a changing of the guard and the new gatekeepers give it the green light, it's going to be a no go on that. Less opportunity for work and home prices will keep the wolves at bay. Sealy Mattress, Valmont, Brenham State School, Baylor Scott n White formerly known as Trinity Hospital, Walmart, Blue Bell, HEB, lots of banks, law enforcement, city work. I may have forgotten a few, but that's as big as it gets. If you don't want to work any of these places, fast food or stores like Marshall's, Specs or meat markets, Brenham is not the place for you. You better be rich, retired or living off other people... because homelessness is not allowed. ❤❤❤

I found out that my bossy classmate Catherine Young from elementary school moved to Brenham a few years ago or so. Please watch out for her and ignore people like that for those who live in that city because she made my life miserable ever since I was little. People were afraid to walk away and ignore her and I don't know why it was that hard to do.
y'all should reshoot the Burton scene again now that our water tower looks better repaint
