This is weirdly inspirational. I love the idea of creating art that is also utilitarian. Also, living in a tree. Also, smoking a joint all through an interview.
Probably the first hippy I've ever liked. Not the force your views on everyone else kind of hippy but do his own thing and welcome people following him kind.
Being a "hippie" was all about "live n let live" easy going n laid back, it was never about "forcing" anything esp ur views. Smoking Pot totally takes the fight out of ya n makes 1 very passive. So if these hippies,if they truly r, that u have experienced r "forcing" there views/beliefs onto others they r not true hippies, they r fakes, wannabes Just bcuz someone dresses a certain way or takes on a certain look doesn't mean it truly is wut it seems. I'm a child of the 60's n have always identified as a hippie, I have 2 uncles that have been hippies longer than I know. I've met 100's of hippies in my lifetime n I've yet 2 meet a hippie do wut u described, but here's a little food 4 thought, 2 of prolly the worlfs
IMHO JS Damn ph n it's close buttons.....F4T... 3 of the worlds prolly best known hippies, Willie Nelson, Tommy Chong, Cheech Marin, ever see any of them "force" anything on any 1????? Nope I don't think so......I rest my case... ✌ Peace
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing this story to people. It's everything I've always wanted to do and it makes me feel like it's more possible than I thought.
I'm always so worried for the environment and how long it'll be around because people are destroying it so quickly and seeing this is just so beautiful and gives me some measure of ease
+Mix6Mix6 Right?? I can kinda hear it in his voice. The sound of a man who gets stoned and lives off the land-- proof? The smile on his face and doobie in his hand.
I had the pleasures to be at his place it's beautiful you still have the sauna out there that was fun and then love you and I hope you continue your voice through this time we have someday we'll meet again
Very nice! This is an amazing place! Everyone should be living like this. The most expensive thing you have to have to start this kind of living is having a nice plot of land... I don't have anscestors who have such a land...If I did I'd be living like this... Not everyone has this kind of opportunity... Damn capitalisation...
I like these Off Grid stories. Can you also explain how these people first get established off grid financially? Did they have to have a certain amount of money as an initial investment? How much does one need to save up to start living off grid, approximate land prices included? People assume you can just pick up a piece of land for $50 or something. It's a huge investment. How much land do you need to sustain a family of 4, for example? 2 acres? Ok, how much does that cost? A little cottage? Even more?
Image. If their was a community in the forest that all had houses like this. I would so live there. A tight nit community that grew their own food, hunted their own food. Thst gave back to the land and passed on information to their young.
Nerrrrrrddd! The guy's a legend, what's wrong with him smokin' up a doob? Look at everything he has built and achieved, clearly an amazing individual, why is any of that undermined by him enjoying a bit of mary jane?
I'm sure the reason the dude is so insightful and in tune with nature is because of cannabis. There is nothing like becoming one with nature while enjoying cannabis. I highly recommend it.
maybe he build nice house . but the house inside looked really unclean and messy . so that's already lost the house beauty when the person is very unclean and not organized . would i like to live in that house no thanks
Thank you for bringing us this story.
Na5iR11 Glad you enjoyed it!

Mix6Mix6 3:25 "one thing about living in the forest is .. there's a lot of wood .. heheh" .. clearly, he meant weed.. joint in hand agrees.
+Nospam Man I'm pretty sure he actually just meant wood. It's funny because a forest is full of wood. Get it?
+Mix6Mix6 Right?? I can kinda hear it in his voice. The sound of a man who gets stoned and lives off the land-- proof? The smile on his face and doobie in his hand.

If no one is saying it, I will: this guy is Radagast.

friskywhiskerssteine With all that smoking, he reminds me of Gandalf instead. All he needs is a smoking pipe.
that piece of music at the start needs to be released so i can buy it, even if it is 30 seconds long!

In the beginning he is smoking a joint
The first guy sounds like " Big Z" from surfs up.
