As someone who was a teen in the 80s, I don't know why I've never heard this group or this song before. How utterly beautiful a ballad. I almost skipped this reaction, but I am so glad now that I decided to chk it out.
This song is spectacular. From quiet, to belt level 1, to belt level 2, then back to quiet - so enchanting. Yannis is a master. And yes, definitely do watch some of their live performances!
It's great to hear some other type of music from this band for a change. And agree, song is good, Yannis has great voice. If you want to hear more and even better metal ballads, check out Battle Beast -Sea of Dreams or even bit older production from them -Savage and Saint.
If you liked this one, I'd heartily suggest you to check out Elvenking - On the Morning Dew. It has similar vibes, but at the same time it's VERY folky. :) Also apparently you'd be the first react for the song.

In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful metal ballads. And that Yannis voice, it's just indescribable.
I was looking forward to you reviewing this song. I think it is one of the most exquisitely beautiful songs I have ever heard.
"You stay a while, then fade away with a smile, but never truely disappear..." - geeeeeeeeeeez

Check out Ghost in the Rain if you haven't already
Masterful, but a bit put off by the harsh breath intake. ❤
You look like a young Bill Hader.
