Jesus. Gief was kicking ass in the beginning, then about the 1/3rd way, Yuuai learned to space really well, and Guile kicked so much ass. Guile's spacing was ridiculously good (sonic boom fest + normals). And all the anti-airs with the normals. Even exchange in Gief's favor ends up in Guile's favor, because Gief has to sacrifice so much just to get in again. This is why nobody picks Zangief in the tournaments. He's fun to use, but once you know how to fight him, Gief really can't offer much.
