Why did these use paint? I have the 2012 fours and I've left them fairly dead stock, I wore them today and the paint just blew up. Why don't they just use different colors of plastics and rubbers? I find painting so weird.

Question, why didn’t you use acetone to smooth it out? I’ve seen a lot of people use it
Because he cleaned the midsole with a brush and shoe cleaner. Acetone can damage the midsole causing it to crack.

For a factory matte finish check out RaleighRestoration Scratch Resistance Sealer. It’s very very good. It’s expensive but will last You forever‼️.
