I can't remember if you've done any of their original music yet. "Sing" is my favorite of those. It's so upbeat, you can't help but dance.
That smile. Kirstin’s smile after that killer performance was just like Kevin after destroying his solo cover of Down. They know they nailed it & they should both be very proud. He’ll, they all should be proud bin so happy Scott gave us controlled runs. He is so amazing but in live performances he sometimes adds extra runs that are imo unnecessary. This was perfect.

I LOVE this...see what I did there? The reason the likes on this suggestion may have been slow at first is some people may have thought it was referring to their studio version that appeared on their 2020 Christmas album, but did not have a video. This LIVE version was on the Capitol 4th of July TV special and has been picking up a LOT of steam in the last month. Although this is the same basic arrangement as the studio version, this live version (with the inclusion of the choir) completely blows the studio version out of the water!! I was watching this live on the evening of the 4th, wondering if Kirstie was gonna be able to hit that note live the way she did in the studio...and she did it EVEN BETTER! I actually yelled with joy "YOU GO GIRL" at my TV at that moment! I've never said those words out loud before in my life! This has replaced Aha Singapore as my all-time favorite live performance of theirs.

Love. The best of your reactions is your smile -- like a delighted child! What a joy to watch you and listen to PTX. Can't get enough of this one. Kirsti really shines, Scott is in his element with the choir, Mitch sounds great on alto, and Kevin and Matt lay a beautiful percussion and bass foundation. They show love to us and for each other.

Love is the key to this life. If you are religious, love between you and your Higher Power. Love with your family. Love to everyone in the world. You might not see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, but if you can genuinely feel a kinship for them as even just another fellow human being, deserving of respect, that's a start. Most of our adult lives is spent chasing after some semblance of riches and power, in one way or another. But when we grow old, you realize all of that quickly fades away. All that is important to us will eventually be our relationships to those we are close to and love. And the genuine smile you made when Kirstie hit that very high note was priceless! Pure joy! We need more of that! (Joy. And your smile!)

This song is actually a cover. It is the opening number to the Broadway show rent that was later made into a movie. Openef on Off-Broadway in January 1991 and move to Broadway April 1991. The night it opened and thereafter it met critical Acclaim and sold-out audiences. Sadly the gentleman who wrote the book the score and the lyrics Jonathan Larson died the night ii opened of an aortic aneurysm. He never got to see what his baby became. He worked a long time on this show. It is a modern-day version of Puccini La Boheme. Rather than the slums of London it is in Alphabet City which is the Lower East Side of Manhattan
Rather than people dying from tuberculosis is's AIDS.. The show gave voice to a group of people who never had a voice. If you've never seen the movie watch it great music great story a powerful message. The.movie was made 10 years after the show started on Broadway. Six of the original 8 cast members came back. You can hear them sing the opening number Seasons of Love from the movie if you put it into TH-cam the original cast Rent Seasons of Love. I had always hoped they would cover this song because it's perfect for them.
