I dunno, just a bushie in Australia. These horses look fantastic and keen, but I suspect that this is a weekend sport, with "makework" to train them. The horses seem over-fed, over-grained, but underworked, and all got "stoneboat fever". They look fat, no muscle definition. I have been following "Working Horses with Jim" for years. He's in upstate NY not far from the border, farming and logging, and local horse pulls which he often wins. He lives the life, horses always in condition, no rushing stoneboat fever, and he's a real humble bloke. Right now he's got 3 youngsters and setting up new teams.
