Hey Brother, great to see you again. Your words reflect something I have been working on and I have a question for you. When you were doing the "right" things before you were as close to God as you are now, were you already baptized?

Hi dear sister, great to hear from you again! I was baptized in the moment I received the Holy Spirit, which actually preceded my water baptism. The moment I received His Spirit, I had a strong desire to be water baptized and to read the scriptures and to turn away from sins. All of that was the immediate work of His Spirit inside me. Prior to that day, I don't believe I was capable of doing the right things, because as stated in the video, even my best works glorified myself and not God. I think the closest thing we can do to a good work prior to knowing Jesus is to admit that we can do no good. While admitting we are wicked can no more make us righteous than admitting one is poor can make one rich, God will work with a contrite heart, so that is the first step.
I am curious to hear more about your line of thought regarding baptism. Have a blessed day!

@@wheatNtares There's a lot of conflicting words regarding the Holy Spirit and baptism. Many say baptism is the key to receiving the Holy Spirit, some go as far to say that without baptism we won't be saved. You write you were spiritually baptized in the moment you received the Holy Spirit, would you please share that experience in totality and how you experience the Holy Spirit? I will share more once I get more info from you, I am eager to hear what you have to say because I have asked for a spiritual baptism for those who are not baptized as a just in case measure. I was baptized as an infant. I'm not of the mind that a church held baptism is necessary as I dont think the thief on the cross was baptized. Looking forward to reading your response. :)

@@Eve14ever I did a video about my experience with receiving the Holy Spirit baptism and here is the link: th-cam.com/video/RiG0gCPDZGo/w-d-xo.html
While I know most people are water baptized first, I actually received the baptism of the Holy Spirit without having been water baptized. There are examples in the scriptures of it happening in either order as well. I was saved in the moment He sent His Spirit and so I don't believe a person who receives Jesus but who cannot be water baptized (imagine someone in shackles in prison, or like you said, the thief on the cross) would be condemned. It is still something we should do when possible to fulfill righteousness.
Upon receiving the Holy Spirit I immediately had a yearning to be water baptized, so the two go together. My personal testimony about being baptized is also interesting. I live in a part of a country that doesn't really have bathtubs (just showers) and the churches don't have baptism facilities. People just use the river, but it can only be used during dry season (too rough and muddy otherwise). I didn't want to wait until dry season, which was months away. My wife and I made a 5-hour round trip on the spur of the moment to go to a church in a far-away city that we were told was doing baptisms. When we got there, the elder was resistant despite our strong testimony, and wanted us to take some course. He agreed to baptize us that day if we answered a series of questions. The first ones were normal questions that any Christian would have to say "yes" to or clearly they should not be baptized. But then the questions started getting weird. He wanted us to agree to dietary things and to agree that his church was the remnant church referred to in the book of Revelation. Obviously this has nothing to do with getting baptized, and it wasn't true either. We left without being baptized.
Although it should have been disappointing, we actually left rejoicing that it was made clear to us not to be baptized in that manner. We ended up getting baptized months later when dry season came. The Lord was with me the whole time prior and after, and I was operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The water baptism is the shadow of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is important because it is the will of the Father that we be baptized, and of course as His children we want to fulfill His will. I have more concern, though, for those who lack a relationship with Jesus. If you know Him, then He will lead you to be baptized. But if a person doesn't know Him and isn't truly following Him, then a water baptism will not hold value on its own. There are many people who have been baptized but who are clearly not His sheep.
I hope this helps! I've also sought understanding of this matter. There is another video I did that you might find interesting regarding what I know about the baptism of the Holy Spirit: th-cam.com/video/ld3_sS9OA8E/w-d-xo.html
God bless you, sister. Have a wonderful day!

@@wheatNtares I guess what I am attempting to discern is if there is any pattern of truth established in the spiritual experiences of receiving the Holy Spirit, being born of a new spirit, receiving living water which I think is being reborn of water and receiving a heart of flesh.
I am also interested in learning how other true believers experience communication from the Holy Spirit, Jesus and Father. There are many online who claim to have had experiences and yet I haven't heard anyone share similar experiences to mine, that's not to say that I haven't come across truthful testimonies for indeed I have and they impact and remain in my heart. I was led to read scripture about someone who experiences communication in some of the ways I do but he's the only one so far that I can relate to, I havent been able to relate to anyone human living now who communicates or has had the same relationship with God. I do not for one moment doubt the truth of my spiritual experiences with God, it's just, it makes me wonder what the heck is going on sometimes. How few are we.....

@@Eve14ever I see. I've also looked into many of these things and I've found both similarities and differences in many true believers. For me, it was all one experience (repentance from sins and forgiving others, forgiveness from God, baptism of the Holy Spirit, receiving a heart of flesh) and I was truly reborn that day. Others experience these things over time. Some believe (at least on some level) for many years and then receive the Holy Spirit. Some may have been raised in Christ and believed for as long as they can remember and have trouble pinpointing a moment of conversion, although I believe all experience dying to themselves to live in Christ at some definitive point.
What things make it hard for you to relate to the experience of others? You've shared many things with me, and I don't recall you speaking a word that I couldn't relate to in my walk.
