- In this week's video, we're taking on a huge Upgrade to our Grand Design Imagine 2670.
After more than a year on the road, two cross-country trips, and over 20,000 miles covered, we decided to upgrade the stock suspension that comes with the Grand Design Imagine 2670 travel trailers. This is a popular upgrade that people do as the stock suspension is pretty terrible.
Our friends from @ccrvsolar helped us with all this work and they were (as always) amazing.
This was a two-day job and we are thankful we did this upgrade. The difference in our towing is night and day. We feel safer and sturdier on the freeway.
Quite possibly the biggest difference we see while driving is the Sumo Springs which made everything safer!

I've enjoyed to start watching your videos, but you've left out the most important part. How much did you pay for all the parts?
Oh that’s a great question. I’ll make sure to add it to the description as well. Total parts were close to $2,000. This seems a lot, but we have seen so many friends rigs lose their suspension. In fact we lost a leaf spring Mount a few months before doing this upgrade. Hope you’ll consider subscribing 💗

I don't get how what you did will stop sway in the wind. I've towed alot with a TT. That seems like more of a hitch thing. Just saying.

Did You guys just install 2 X Factor Cross members? I know the front one plumbing has to be moved and honestly seems like more trouble than Its worth. How is the X Factor and sumo springs working out for you? Thanks
We did at this point. Just recently added the third; after rerouting the plumbing! With our upgraded leaf springs etc we felt it was totally worth it. The sumo springs are quite possibly the best upgrade we’ve done to the rig! Night and day when being passed by a big rig. Thanks for watching.
