    Please follow me on this journey of building a DIY electric Mini Loader, run with Hydraulic and powered by Lithium Ion salvaged from electric car. I will try my best to update weekly from today.

    Fluxcore is not great for pressure welds. Watch for leaks in the welds. Great build.

    I've been wanting to build the same kind of machine and had thought of welding in shafts into the hubs, until I found some outer cv shaft ends that I thought I'd weld to the sprockets to. Cool build.
    Edit: you really should get a hydraulic filter.👍

    Nice! A couple questions, other than time/ect, was there a reason you welded the shaft to the wheel hub? I'd be thinking repairs down the road. Also, isn't there a better filter solution than what you are planning?
    It is a GREAT job and when you finish (details, you know the little things you didn't know ya needed) are job, I think you'll have a very competitive machine re: capabilities to similar markets ones.
    Consider putting a suction filter in the tank.... a bolted on top plate on the tank would allow pulling out a stalk with filter on the end that submerges in tank. Also, neo magnetics in return flow path in tank... should get everything coming and going.... without the downfalls of return side or supply side filtration...
    Many years ago I needed something and I thread a galvanized pipe I had onto an oil filter... dumped it in tank and began pumping.
    My apologies as I'm only trying to give opinion feedback... I know I tend to (unintentionally) pis people off...

      The splines on the wheel hub is not easy to find... only one is the replacement axle from the vehicle... that's like 300 a pair... would need two pair. :) while the wheel hub was only 30.00ea... crazy. So yeah, easiest option was to weld. I thought about drilling a lock pin... but worried it isn't strong enough. Thanks for watching.

      @@kennethhicks2113 hydraulic is over my head, I am still learning as I build... I always learn the expensive ways. Yes, just realized it much smarter to have the filter before the pump. Jump to quick on the return side filter when I search for hydraulic filter and it seems that's what most showed up... isn't the best solution. Going to have to get a before pump filter.

      @@devildestiny555 Get a pipe that'll thread on a large oil type filter, submerge it in res. Unbolt 3 bolts holding plate with outbound supply sideline. put out, replace filter... fill res some if needed, bolt back up. Cheap, easy, available and works well. (big filter as don't know your cylinder sizes/flow rates/etc).
      And both supply and return side filters have pros and cons. Hence neo magnetics just in the tank in return side flow path. This attempts to get the most pros and least cons out of either filter placement location (why automakers now put magnetics on oil plugs, helps tremendously...imo).
      Good luck and show us what ya wind up doing : )
      Oh, and you can use a plain transmission filter that sets in the pan if your gonna be big (high flow/large movement/cylinder size/drive motor size). But I like the wider filtration options available with oil filters... depends on application and how anal I am at the time!

      Yes, but the controller would be expensive.

    Very nice work. Can I tell the dimension of the chain (step and width) and the characteristics of the pump and motors? Many tanks

      Chain size #50, pump and motor is unknown.

    What is the power of the electric motor? and what are the parameters of the hydraulic pump? thanks

      It's Crown motor and John barnes pump... from some kind of forklift... could not find any specs on it .. other than the motor labeled rated 36v.

    The hydraulic motor sprockets you had to weld together will more than likely be a failure point. I forget what grade of steel one piece sprockets are made out of but I'm pretty sure it's not 1018 or 1045. If you look up the same sprocket part number you ordered, put a "DS" before that number. DS stands for Double Single. Should get you were you need to be.

      Possibly... I'll put more weld on it, it was just a temporary weld to make sure it work. If indeed it fail, will replace with dual... but they're are just expensive and hard to find right size tooth. Thanks for watching.

      Are you asking about the motor to drive the hydraulic pump? If so it's from a Crown forklift, doesn't really have a brand or name, rated 36v and around 4kw.

    When engaging hydrulic valve, I face jerks because of hydrulic motor pull..how do you control that or make it smooth ....

      Needs to use the lowest rpm motor possible and gear it down even more and longer level all can help. But ultimately it comes down to the operator.

      its a problem with all mini hydraulic skid steers...the valves are either all on or off .....I had my hydraulic arms on a hustler zero turn mower....which is variable hydrostatic,and didnt realise how good the drive was till I made my own.

      The hydraulic motor is rated 350rpm at 16gpm.

      Possibly, but it's not cheap and hasn't been fully tested. :)
