the only thing I can suggest is allowing the tablet to fully discharge to ensure it is turned off. recharge it and repeat the steps in the video ensuring you have the correct firmware for your model

I can't even get to that first step because my table keeps turning on and off. I plug in the charger and it lights up showing the battery logo and then shuts off and then just keep turning on and off.
It will get stuck on Samsung logo if your motherboard chip is fryd too. It has same symptom as firmware error. This video only fix firmware error. For hardware error replace the chip.

what if on odin mode on your tablet where it says custom binary download: it says No rather then yes????
it shouldn't make a difference to the process
mine will turn on sometimes it then will say its updating then shut its self off and does that over and over till battery dies

that means your tablet dead so u have to leave it charging
I left it charging for quite awhile and it still turns on and off at the battery logo screen
check the battery is probly connected and try again to turn on the tab if not try to change the battery it may be the problem
most of the vidoes on youtube are fake. You just have to play around with it. I can't get mine either.
