Pretty cool stuff, and yeah more of these :) Was doing some digging and interestingly enough it seems like the only Job that gets actual stat increases from the upgrade is Monk. The rest are all primarily for additional spells and equipment, but upgrading the Monk to Master gives them substantially increased stat growth I just wish the games weren't so damned expensive. The bundle is a considerable discount but still pricy at $100 CAD.
This video was super interesting. I've always been a little scared to play FF1 again (I played when I was a kid). Maybe I'll have to grab the pixel remaster and try it.
It's easily the best version of the game - it's not a complete cakewalk like Dawn of Souls or the PSP version but it's not incredibly punishing, either - you can even start back in the last room you were in in the event of a party wipe. The console version also lets you modify how much EXP and gold you get, as well as turning encounters off altogether. I would recommend not touching those settings for a first time player to get the full experience; counter-intuitive as it may be, part of the magic in FF1 lies in its frustrating elements, but if you're struggling to figure out where to go and just want to explore different towns/talk to NPCs without running into monsters every few steps, that can be a lifesaver if you don't want to look up a guide.
I still kept the 4x exp cheat on and STILL hit lv 99 BEFORE encounter Warmech even once I used Warrior both the Black and White mage and the 3rd either as a Red Mage/Monk Monk under 4x exp Red mage without it.

Please, PLEASE, make a video about the FFV PR! It's my favorite FF game and I want to learn how people are doing things in the PR versions.
Wonder if they fixed the critical rate on weapons in this one, or if they still tie it to the weapon index...
