Tripod passing looking smooth as butter. I’ve been working that pass along with body locks for about 2 weeks. I really enjoy the versatility of those two movements.
Hey tip for the uchi mata, ur post leg in this case the right leg should be closer to his hips preferably right under the groin to create the most leverage, preventing u from falling before him.
Nice roll. Always love and appreciate the detail. I need to break out my notebook and start getting after it. I'm going to make it a strong focus to improve my jiu jitsu this year. I have your jiu jitsu theory course, but I've only just started.
around 7:25 when you go for that kimura trap my coach showed me a cool darce entry where you use your butt inside their near arm to rotate them over while keeping your top hand around the far side of their neck palm down. I'm a total beginner but I've found a lot of success getting to the darce from there.
@@YuknoomCheen_III thank man! It was feeling really good and I thought I might have been fully healed. But then just the other day I went from a kneeling position to sitting, and aggravated it. It was super painful. I know I need to get meniscus surgery and now I'm not going to put it off any longer. Appointment with the Dr on Wednesday. Sucks not having full confidence in my knee but at least it hasn't overly affected my training. Thanks for asking!
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu damn I can only imagine how frustrating it’s been. Hopefully the surgery isn’t too invasive and you won’t need too much time away from the mats to recover. But best to be safe than sorry I guess. Good luck with the whole process!
the sort of perception and forward planning you seem to have, eg at 7:25 to 7:35 what belt level would you say that starts being possible? I'm 3 stripe white and still getting put in positions i've never been in before - this sort of forward planning seems an age away!
I think that kind of stuff gets easier around mid blue belt or 2-3 years-ish of training. Can definitely happen sooner though. Especially if you buy my Kimura instructional 👀. Lol.
This is really cool! Would it be possible to highlife a bit more what your opponent could have done to defend? Also from all the comments it seems someone should post an affiliate link where he got his rash guard set. 😂
Will you roll with a blue belt with this blue belts skill just a smaller one? I want to see how the smaller one does against you. I’m a small blue. I’m a 140-135er. My skill isn’t as good. I’m trying to learn how to be better. I try to tripod pass but I fail. Thanks coach!
The problem is it's too easy against people that much smaller. I'm 205lbs right now. So it makes for a less than entertaining roll for most viewers. Hopefully me and you can roll sometime though!
@ no, of course it is your student and you give him opportunity to work… but, it didn’t look like a cat playing with mouse, mb because he is bigger. I have seen your round with Ryan Juliano, smaller guy - and it was different, you constantly created pressure on him with uchimata and he barely didn’t get injured

The fact that he's wearing Powerpuff girl rashguard indicates me he better be freaking good 😂
@@thurmangreen676 lol ngl I'm jealous and want a pair for myself. Used to watch that show all the time as a kid 😅
The giant heart over the bootyhole is definitely a choice.
Man, that Kimura to back take was sick. It’s the kind of move I do all day rolling while dreaming at night.
Thanks man! I love the Kimura Trap!
Can we get a tripod passing video? :)

I feel like it's over powered. Like a cheat code haha
Another excellent roll! Very informative thanks Jordan
Thanks man! Good lesson on tripod passing especially, I think :)
Bro's matching powerpuff rashie and shorts are to die for!
Man, great video! Excited for 2025!
The legend is here! Ya man 2025 will be the best. I've got a great feeling about it!
another great video as always Jordan! miss your gym!
Classy as always. The pace, the variety of positions-Good stuff

Lovely roll commentary and well done Max.
Always good see you rolling. Keep up with the good work!
Thank you!

The best BJJ rolling content on YT. 🤙
Thank you! My plan is to get way more black and brown belt rolling commentaries this year!
Woot! Another JTJJ video! My goal is to watch all of your rolling commentaries and go back through the Theory course again.
Thanks man! The new theory course is way better. It's been automatically updated. Definitely check it out!
Jordan becoming the Jordan of bjj commentary videos
Haha when do I get my own shoe line though!?!
Awesome video Jordan, I really learned a ton.
Also, thank you Max!!
Glad to hear it!
Another great analysis. Love the content man. Love the kimura back take.
Bought your kimura series! Mind doing one on tripod passing?!
Yea definitely!
Hey Jordan, really cool video. Would love to see a concept video for tripod passing.
Love these rolls, keep them coming!
Happy new year
Happy new year!
Awesome as usual
Thank you!
Hahah the powerpuff girl set is gold
Great content. Will watch again. A+++++
You post the best bjj videos, Mr. Jordan 👍
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Good stuff as always! How’s your knee been?

Hey that’s one of our no gi sets ❤
Great video guys 🤙
When tripodding to pass, where did you place your right arm?
I usually try to get an underhook if I can!
You're the best Jordan
Thanks man!

@1:10 - toe hold opportunity for bluey?
For sure but it happened so fast in real time that it was a small window of opportunity!

😊 great video
I like Max. He’s going to be really good if he sticks with it.
Enjoy your inevitable purple belt soon Max!
Jordan, have you ever dealt with imposter syndrome in bjj and if you did how did you manage it.
Any tips on not getting hook swept when tripod passing?
Propiritize pinning their shoulders to the mat moreso than the pass itself. The pass will come but not easy if they unpin themselves.
@ thanks!
Bring “talk jitsu” back. Thank you.
The PPG shorts are wild for the heart located there 😂
We did it for the lolz
Wow. Rolling with a blue belt and posting it. Really impressive
You've been subscribed for 3 years. You should know by now these are for educational purposes, rather than to impress. Wild.
“First blue belt smash of 2025….” Right. What an ass…
How to defend the tri pod?
Very tough to do! Beat to prevent it in the first place. I'll make a video soon on both offense from it and defense to it though!
Can we get a bjj for mma video?
I'll see what I can do!
Mma is on the rise!

That kimura to back take was demoralizing 😂
Power puff girls rashguard full set! Yo he wins the style game
We will always keep you stylish :)
tripod passing tutorial soon?
Is it not too much time to finish blue belt? I supposed that black belt can smash blue belt for less than 1 minute

Just hand the man his purple belt already, that aint a blue belt!
Bjj for mma plz!
How much do you weigh ?
203 lbs right now. Too much. Working on getting back down to at most 190, preferably 185!
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu I think you fit this weight
