Ah I remember this one. It was one of the few Covert-Ops missions I was able to complete as a kid. I left one GDI silo intact and then spent hours just building a kick-ass fort lol.
The mission briefing in this mission seems a bit nonsensical when you play it, but is actually 100% correct. Near the start of the mission, a bunch of civilians will move to the GDI base and that's the start of the AI production. If you rush to create some Nod buggies you can intercept them, and the AI will never start building things unless you move units close to their base. And even there, there's a small nuance: celltriggers in C&C1 specifically ignore cloaked units. So even the stealth assault you did on them to take out their CY would not have started their production; not until you moved in the Flame Tanks.
This is a very sneaky way to gain an early edge. As soon as they start their production, the attacks are relentless. I went straight up for obelisks to defend my base and expend my economy ASAP. The nuke is essential to win this mission unless you wanna play some kind of thug of war scenario. Their Construction Yard is well defended (if you don't use cloaked units), I wonder if it's a lot faster using your tactic.
@@THEZOD Not sure about "faster", but, well, the whole point is that you don't _have_ to be faster, since the AI literally does nothing :) Actually I do think it's faster; you don't have to worry about defense at all, and can just rush to the nuke, stealth tanks and attack force.
I remember when I did this one on the "First Decade" version. This was one of the most brutal Nod Missions on the Covert Ops. Man, those freaking GDI attacks were ruthless. Because of the ion cannon, I was reluctant to have a pricey obelisk get axed in one shot. I tried defending with a mass of tanks. While the losses were pretty high, I was able to beat back the forces long enough to get the nuke ready to ice both the ConYard and the Adv. Comm Center. While it was somewhat easier defending, it was still a pain to break the defenses as this was that one rare mission in which they would replace their Orcas.
The commando/engineer reinforcement is ridiculous, the AI always tends to screw up your base from the left with them. The key for this mission is pretty standard tho, you aim for the Construction Yard first and then you release the Kraken (nuke :P). The obelisk is always a good option, even if they use their ion cannon on it, the Obelisk offers a much better defense and can be repaired contrary to your units, unless you got a repair bay.
@@THEZOD True that. I guess I'm traumatized from playing the N64 version. It would shake badly if you lost a structure. That and I'm probably a masochist. I appreciate the advice though. I'll take that into consideration whenever I attempt hard mode.
Star craft 1 battlenet multilayer software would probably run on c&c to load masterfiles and custom maps for multilayer on ps4 I'd bundle the c&c editions like the diablo ressurected series but command and conquer n64 on ps4 with maybe a dead ops arcade mode or zerg holdout mods

I'd let it ride
Industrial safari
Just creep with obelisks and they'll utterly destroy the AI base
The battlenet configuration from starcraft 1 would look beautiful on command and conquer remastered for ps4
