I do agree it has started, Dr Novak has become a daily show for me. Been in the hobby for 38 years, many tanks later mostly all filled with plants. But everyone always had high nitrates. I thought it was my faucet water but tested it no nitrates, so problems with waste management using plants but never could get them down to 20 ppm, always 60 to 80ppm . But know with a BCB basket able to get them down to 10ppm and lower after 6 months . Thankfully for your free advice sir, Happy FISH KEEPING. Massachusetts
I gotta admit as soon as I saw the Radion XR30 box I found it hard to concentrate. I'm so jealous. Congratulations for your new tank, its really beautiful.
You and me both! Very expense LED light , too expense for my taste. But I did what to show hobbiest even with the brightest of LED lights @ 100% light output out there, success is only a TH-cam video away.
A view into the high end aquarium and also the different designs. A little bit of DIY skills can be helpful for serious long term aquarists. Skills like silicone resealing. It is really not that difficult, and most can do it. That's how my 38yrs old is still holding water today. I did a foot long vertical resealing about 3years ago. Looking foreward to your SCA set up.
I agree with you about the bad reviews on cheap tanks, but remember that they are being reviewed by people who are after cheap tanks, and may or may not be experienced in setting tanks up or anything. For every Waterbox purchaser, there are probably 100 or 1000 people with an Aqueon or Marineland tank. I have had two 55g and a 60g from those two companies and never had an issue. Not to say they DONT have issues, but the reviews show the reviewer's bias, as well as the flaws in the tank itself.
I agree with you on that. Cheap tanks in this hobby are here to stay. I have own several of then with great success and they have lasted years of troubled free service.
Your reviews statement reminds me exactly what I did. Saw a good price on a 93g cube marineland. Looked at reviews at they were littered with pictures of the seals failing and water everywhere. Instant avoid!
So happy to see this series kick-off. And I'm excited to hear you will be going to Jack Wattley for your Altums. That is where I get my Discus. Great high-end light, too! I'm interested in hearing your review of it.
Looking forward to this series of videos. You are generous with your time and wisdom.
I appreciate that!
