- We thought the belt or belt tensioner was due for replacement. However, upon closer inspection we found out the noise was coming from the alternator. Every time it made noise the dash lights would flicker indicating there was a charging issue as well. A new alternator fixed the problem!

Alternator packed up on my y61 today. Started with the lights, then a growling noise, loss of power and then died.
Not good! I hope the video helped with getting it swapped out 😜
@@withneil it has in a way as seeing what's involved. Injured my hand so having to leave this one to my local garage. They're "old school" so should be ok😏
