classic 30 i like just repaired my friends amp and matching preamp i set the bias low on the classic 30 no need to run the tube 100 to the max Audio research call 0.065 amp each 6550
Hi mguess, I very much appreciated your video regarding the Classic 60 refurbishment. You mention that the bias should be set to 65 mv. Using the test points you demonstrate in the video my amp reads 36mv and 33mv on the other. In the manual it says that the bias should be set to 32.5mv DC. Which is correct? 32.5mv or 65mv? Not being a tech I don’t know what the manual means when it talks about 65 ma per tube with correct bias. But that’s ma not mv. Should I increase my bias to 65mv at the test point you used? Many thanks, Perry
Hi Perry. My manual says 65mv for the bias adjustment. If you want I'll send you a copy of the manual that I have and you can compare it to yours. It's in PDF format that I can email to you.

Hello friend, I'm from Brazil and I follow some videos on your channel and I was curious to see the maintenance on this classic Arc 60 and I would like to know your opinion about this device, because I'm about to acquire one exactly like this one, the only difference is the balanced inputs on your back. I thank you for your cooperation.
Hey thanks for the comments and I'm glad you are finding the videos useful. I think the Audio Research classic 60 sounded great especially after we replaced all the tubes. It's back with the owner now and he is very happy with the amp. If you enjoy the tube sound I think you will be happy with the Classic 60.
Hello, how are you? yes I really like to see the contents of your very interesting channel, continue in this line and always succeed. the classic 60 ARC looks pretty good. I like the sound of the tubes despite using solid state equipment. I have here an Arc preamp LS3B to use with the classic 60 I'll see if I can send you the result.👍
@@mguess Hello how are you ? at last i managed to buy the audio research classic 60 is wonderful very new without any repairs, impressive, now i'm the third owner i still couldn't enjoy it in my home but listen for 3 hours on there are a couple of JBL 4344 boxes , so incredible this system.
@@cleberdias3870 I'm glad you got the amplifier and are happy with it. The owner of the classic 60 that I worked on is very happy to have his amplifier back and working like new. Enjoy your classic 60. Great sounding system.

@@mguess That would be very much appreciated. I wonder if there were different versions of the amp. Are you able to see my email with this message?
Hi Perry. Just send me an email to mguessva@gmail.com and I'll forward the manual to you.
Beautiful amp! Where was it used, in a barn? Disgusting inside.
