I swear to Christ there was a creature staring at you in the sewers, but when you turned back it was gone. Moments like that *make* this game, it has atmosphere on the level of Metro 2033 or your Misery playthrough. The earlier part where the red eyed demon thing glared at you and vanished..genius. And the entire Ocean House concept was genius too, finally an RPG not based around the talk/sneak/fight rule, and yet more than a walking simulator. Incredible design.
The music in Ocean House is pure gold. An extremely disturbing piece. I can't recall how many times I've used it during particularly creepy scenes in tabletop sessions.
The way to get I to the hotel without lock picking- in the shack outside are the keys. The hotel had some added music and sounds, not all of it was new, but I think the additions made it better.

this part of the game when I first played scared me so so much. I am such a big wuss when it comes to scary stuff and this whole entire thing creeped me out as I fell for all the jumpscares and all the little sounds and read all the little notes. It was wonderfully done but my goodness I was relieved to be finally out of there cause it was spooky for me.
your video helped me figure out what the fuck i was meant to be doing in the ocean house hotel i got so lost. so a big thank you goes there you've got a new sub.. i wish the game had a map system, not the odd signs.
I recently started playing this again after a long time away from it with the new Antitribu mod I walked inside the hotel and remembered how it scared me the first time. Quick saved, quit the game xD for a game that doesn't actually do horror or scary stuff they did this level very well. When I first played I assumed they'd just half ass this part but it seems like they did do their best to make it as creepy as possible
