Oh my gawd.... how I wish I could be even just a fly on the wall to see this in person. That's truly an amazing piece of history. If only they could talk. The things it could tell..
Wow!!! You folks probably have sold the most iconic firearms ever known to man. Every time I think you've reached the pinnacle of firearm collecting, you unearth, so to speak, some other incredibly rare specimens. In my perfect world, some ultra incredibly wealthy person would purchase all the best of the best and the rarest of the rare, and put them all together in a museum. A museum open to the public, to be able to see and marvel at all the finest arms the world has known. I can dream can't I?
I remember the story of Number #1 found in an attic. Number #2 looks like a movie gun ! It looks fantastic. The Henry Nettleton revolver is awesome. I've never seen one is such condition
Ok but the real question was it used ? How many men did it stop? Whose handle is that, is is original I looks like the owner made it himself , that’s not bad
I own a Bob Munden custom Colt SAA .45Colt and I wouldn't take a penny less than several MILLION dollars for it !!! WHY ? Well I can't go out and replace it for no amount of $$$$ now that he's passed on !!!
That's Slick Rick not wanting to give a damn for history and real valuable guns !!! Hahahaha !!! But that's a pawnshop owner's mentality buy cheap and sell HIGH !!!
Absolutely incredible piece of history. I do Have a wish list but Umm, Colt Army serial number (2). Might be about 900 thousand dollars over my budget.
Only other one like that pearl handled pistol I know was Butch Cassidy's. Was on display in Malta Montana at the museum were it was stolen. Never seen another bull head carved handle since that pistol.
Maybe not rare, but the fact that it's a very early production (1874), an antique, and a blackpowder frame are all things very desirable to collectors. Additionally, the value will vary quite a bit dependent on things like its condition, originality, provenance, and any special order features.
Deadhorse, you know, I know you know), that there have been a few VERY skilled gunsmiths and metal workers that have done awesome reworks on these Colts,,(Tommy H. for one) and this is why they are such a risky gun to spend big money on. I have invested and collected another Cav. side arm that does not attract the scammers nearly as much as Colt and when I do acquire it is one that has honest use and wear, but still 100% correct. :)
I think the guns are great , but I think you should cut down on the wide angle shots and just do descriptions dubbed over close-ups on the guns . I am not a person who has to have somebody tell me how awesome something is , could you just let the guns sell themselves ? .. these videos are good but they could be great . BTW , That guy isn't good looking enough for so many close-ups anyway ( kidding now ) .

0:27 that shadowed profile of the Peacemaker is enough to give me goosebumps. Absolutely beautiful 😍😍😍
What a beautiful firearm, I'm amazed how good a condition it's in considering it's age.

How awesome would it be if the same guy who bought #1 was the one who bought #2. Imagine having both on your hip... #1 and #2.
Life would be complete! 😂
He wouldn't stop. He would want #3 and then #4 and so on as well. Finaly he would grab your 653489. So you'd better not give him ideas.

The September auction is shaping up to be a good one. I will be there.
If it’s serial # 2 you can’t put a price on it. It’s completely priceless. IMO
What about serial #1?
@@advancedmonkey7702 It sold for about 830,000 dollars the guy said. Pay attention.
Ok but the real question was it used ?
How many men did it stop?

Serial #1 was found in a barn in Nashua NH
@@donaldmyck4296 holy shit! No literally, under cow shít
Do you think the men on the production line back then knew that these guns will become so extremely valuable and sought after in the future?
This lady’s and gentleman is class.
Best I can do is $15,000, and I'm taking a risk here.
I own a Bob Munden custom Colt SAA .45Colt and I wouldn't take a penny less than several MILLION dollars for it !!! WHY ? Well I can't go out and replace it for no amount of $$$$ now that he's passed on !!!
When you imagine what this gun has been through....a real time capsule. There is no price for that. Looks to me just like Da Vinci's Joconde.
Sold for $161,000, Ser.No.1 sold for $862,500
Ooh whee, THAT #2 man..the authentic 7th Cav sidearm..what a history!
I would do so many unspeakable things to have one of these in my hands .
Ha ha ha…thats funny..!

Not quit lucky, but would still go nicely with noisy spurs
Knuckling? Uhh, _knurling?_
Am I missing something?
Still don't understand "Pinch frame "...
Look at area on top just in front of the rear sight. The "pinch frame" has a pinched look. Otherwise, it will be an open trough.
is the first one, serial number 1 around yet?
I believe it is on loan to the NRA museum.
The greatest handgun ever made, according to some.
I agree. At least the cowboy in me thinks so.
we need a No. 2 movie
I would not mention that purchase for my wife.
" just bought a new gun hun, same as usual"

does every video now have to have a miserable, head banging music in the background

Rock Island Auction Company Thanks for getting back to me I was wondering because of the uniqueness of the serial number. It’s in perfect condition.

"Calgrie" instead of Calgary, Alberta! Maybe a slight Canadian accent??? Mine gets subtly detected in Arizona all the time!

According to the selling price it's about 1/5 as cool as #1, no surprize there.

The fact someone cut off the end of the barrell massively depreciates it's value. They deformed it.
