  • Flo-Master by Hudson Pumpless 1.3 gallon battery powered sprayer unboxing and honest review. Compared to manual pump sprayer for spraying weeds, insecticide sprayer, maybe it could also be a lawn sprayer. Rechargeable lithium-ion battery prayer, no pumping required.

Good comparison and demonstration. Thank's for your honesty! That's what I needed to hear.

The 5BPL is a great sprayer; the pressure is adequate for yard work. The problem is that the tank latch cannot be replaced. Mine snapped off, rendering my $50+ (today's price) worthless. Good sprayer, lousy customer service.

I purchased a Hudson sprayer like the one in the pic. I took it apart thinking that is how to feel it up. Hos I can't get it back together. Can you help?

How long does it take for the lithium battery to charge?

Honestly, I didn't keep it long enough to recharge the battery, but it's a very small battery and shouldn't take hours to recharge.

Battery is an 18650 it's standard in flashlights, e-cigs and lasers. You can buy a charger that will charge that fully in about an hour. Also they make far better longer lasting batteries. Find those on Amazon (18650 battery)...

would it have enough power for portable camping shower if replaced the wand with shower head?

I don't think so. I think the best use for it is light pesticide applications around the foundation of a house. The pump is just too weak.

    Is the pump loud..,.

Not at all, it's super quiet. I just got a Scott's battery sprayer and it's 3 times louder than the Flo-Master.

Hi, what kind of plant is that in the beginning of the vid. It’s beautiful.

    • @LawnImprovement
      @LawnImprovement  4 ปีที่แล้ว

That is a white Azalea. It only shows it's beautiful flowers in spring only lasting several days.

Thank you. I like the job you did on the trimming and pruning. The landscape edging sets it off nicely as well. Awesome presentation.

In Italy and downtown Portland, OR you will see short (up to 4 ft.) hedges of evergreen azaleas. When they are pruned regularly in the spring the bushes flower all over the outside of the bush and look spectacular with the contrast between the flowers and the green foliage. If you are in USDA zone 8 - 10 you can plant evergreen azaleas which look nice year round. If the climate is not harsh azaleas stay in bloom 2 - 4 weeks. Evergreen azaleas are worth having for sure. The deciduous more cold hardy azaleas should be planted at the back of a border and can be let to go wilder for a more informal look. Be sure to fertilize in the spring with rhododendron/azalea slow release food since azaleas like some acidity.
In the front of the border down to zone 6 you can plant something like Heucheras for evergreen foliage and wands of small white, pink or red flowers for a month in May. They can take sun - semi shade and the foliage comes in all colors of the rainbow except blue. Heuchera is foolproof after the first year as long as it gets adequate rainfall. I've grown them in Zone 6 Maryland from 4" pots. In a year the Heucheras were full size clumps of 12" - 14" wide in semi-shade.

Thanks for the video, how's the unit been working so far after a couple of months? Can those batteries be purchased separately for additional backups?

It's a nice little sprayer, but It wasn't for me and no longer have it. Since the battery isn't standard, I believe you can only get it from the manufacturer. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻

The battery is a 18650 lithium ion rechargable I believe. Pretty standard size but lithium ion batteries but not a typical battery you would see normally. They are inside most lawn/power tool battery packs soldered together for additional voltage.
