35mm film remains the ideal archival material for digital mastering.

my boxed set of DVD's for 'The Outer Limits' (MGM) has become almost unplayable now - only a couple sides of these double-sided discs work at all, and then only for one or two episodes - there should be a free return and replacement for that expensive set!

Outer limits collection is a solid release. Outer limits was a great series but sadly not as good as the the Twilight Zone (but little is). Have you got night Gallery - created by Rod Serling. Night Gallery is great but Blu-ray are only available in US.
You must like Kolchak also Network have released many British horror anthology sets too.

Don't have Night Gallery, still trying to hold out for a UK Blu-ray set but will probably end up getting the Fabulous films DVD release at some point.

Outer Limits is not comparable to Twilight Zone. Apples and oranges. I prefer dramatic, operatic, hour long epics to the other. J
