Hello! Impossible to have enough of these mega cute little birds! All look so innocent and adorable. The leucistic blackbird was a surprise and I was glad to see the bullfinch and the dunnock. But the loveliness of the tit family is well known and well deserved.
Thank you very much. Get well soon.🐤🐦👏👍😊‼️

Thank you Patricia, glad you liked it. Re. my illness, the worst is over thankfully and getting back to normal.
I have to admit I’ve only seen bullfinches about half a dozen times so it was a treat for me to see this one and relatively close too. Wish they were more common. The finch I see the most of locally (Goldcliff) is the goldfinch and in the Forest of Dean it’s the chaffinch.
Best of luck in the run up to Christmas and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎉🎄🎅🏼🍾🥂

@ Thank you indeed ! I’m glad you are better. Goldfinches are really hard to find in my area of France. Bullfinches seem to arrive in the cherry budding season and of course farmers hate them.
Here we have a slightly less red bullfinch that arrives normally for the winter but they like some kind of altitude ( 700-1000m) I guess because there they can find seeds ( and tree buds).
I hope your end of the year will be relaxed and very pleasant.🍾🥂🌲⭐️🍀😊‼️

Thank you, so was I! The continuous cycle of birds was amazing to see and I’ve never seen a Marsh Tit before so that was a bonus.

    Dễ thương quá ! 💖

Nice video with some surprises. Thanks for all the videos this year. I enjoyed it, mostly after a long day, as a nightcap. The year is not over yet, but if I may ask: do you keep a yearlist? So counting all species from January until the end of this month?
    Regards

Thank you Marc, it’s great to think of you watching this as a nightcap. I don’t believe I’ll be seeing any new species between now and ‘25 but unlike many birders I don’t keep a year list as such. I know it provides a lot of fun for those who do, the “Big Year” etc but as I record every new species on video I have a visual record. I do know that this year I saw several ‘lifers’.
Ring-Necked Duck, Great Northern Diver, Red-Necked Grebe, Black-Necked Grebe, Long-Tailed Duck, Baird’s Sandpiper (well technically I had seen one before but not as well as this year, Little Tern and last but not least the Marsh Tit!

@ I understand, I never did it myself but a friend in the middle of our country asked me to do so, like a fun competition. Got about 184(!), had really a lot of luck and I started to make a lot of walks in our area. That’s the good thing about such a list: it works as a stimulation (but don’t think you need more stimulation with making those videos). Anyway I started to join the post where they count the migration on sea (for decades already now). Actually: I did that in the past too, but it’s fun to restart such things. And aside this: I’m lucky to live in an interesting part of the country. Near the Waddenzee (told that before), Northsea and we have dunes. Regards and all the best.

@@marczijp4025You are indeed blessed with your location, so many of our British rare vagrants have come from over the North Sea, sadly for me these tend to linger on the east coast and only in exceptional circumstances arrive on the west coast.
I hope you have the very best Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎉
