    do a full one. I have where to go for the files or even look to see if its the right firmware so essentially that video did nothing for me.

    Thanks for the video. I couldn't find very good information elsewhere. I'll be back after work to hopefully root my A52. Fingers crossed I don't brick it.

    K, heres my issue. Maybe you can help. I was given a Galaxy A5 2017 that was factory reset without removing the Google account, so now its FRP locked. So i looked up the software version on my phone and downloaded the appropriate combination file. I used Odin to apply it and now it only goes to factory binary. Also, the firmware version has changed on my phone, but i cant find a complete combination file (with all the separate files) to finish the flash. All the ones i find have a single file. Suggestions?

    • @TechOut
      @TechOut  ปีที่แล้ว

      Flashing the software will not remove a Google account lock. It's going to check for the lock during setup

      You can only flash official Samsung ROMs with Odin

      I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear. I know Odin is only for flashing Samsung, what I was wondering was if it would be possible to install a Samsung rom for the same model but the idk European or South American version that is able to have the bootloader unlocked in developer options. So could I use Odin for that?

      To change CSC you need to use patched Odin. Looks like you also have an Exynos device. Anything here is for Snapdragon so there may be differences.

    how does one install the firmware?

    • @ancientslav4863
      @ancientslav4863 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried it many times, seems as if you have android 12, you cant go back anymore. Smart Switch also doesn't show a "downgrade" button anymore. I have tried several good firmwares for my S10 (SM-G973F) to no use. Odin just gets stuck on boot.img and that's that. If I try to flash firmware of a Android 12 version, it works. but if I try Android 11, 10, or 9, it just doesn't work. Many forums say you cant go from android 12 lower. So stupid...
      The new One UI 4 (Android 12 based) ruined my Galaxy S10 speaker - its rattling, buzzing, is distorted. The top speaker is OK

    • @ancientslav4863
      @ancientslav4863 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      EDIT: It seems, even tho I'm writing a few second later, that after days of seeking a resolution to this - Rolling back / downgrading android 12 to 11, 10 or 9 because of bugs and broken speaker on my Galaxy S10 - a dude has figured this shit out!!!
      You need to not only know and find the correct firmware for your phone, e.g. my S10 is SM-G973F (which I have known), and the correct country CSC code, e.g. my is ORS (also known), but out of all the "correct" firmwares, only the ones with the 5th letter from end work:
      Example: My S10 (SM-G973F) with CSC country code being "ORS" had like 40 firmwares for Android 12, 11, 10 and 9 (being the last, not 8 or older). The approximately 40 firmwares were like G973FXXUEHVC6 or G973FXXSCFUH5 or G973FXXU2ASF3...but...ONLY the G973FXXSEFUL1 and G973FXXSEFUJ2 worked for me because my phone had a similar number in settings/about phone/software info e.g. G973FXXBECDFJ and the 5th letter from end was "E"
      G973FXXS "E" FUJ2 or G973FXXS "E" FUL1 ------ so only the ones with the "E" as the 5th letter from end worked. Tried just now and rolled back to Android 11 - SUPERB FEELING AFTER DAYS OF STRESSING
      Tho my issue with speaker persists so perhaps its also on Android 11 or...its a faulty speaker and new one is 27$ + back glue for back glass is 9$..damn, the money :P

    here umm, i have a super old Samaung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 from like 2012, i used it throughout my childhood and i did quite a few updates back then, it seems to be that the version its on now is too much for the systems ram as it struggles to use google! (i dont use android btw so idk much about it lol) the version says in the 'android version' 4.2.2 and i want to be able to re-install the factory version as it is too much for the system to handle, i dont really understand anything said here so if there is some place that can show me what files i need and where to get them could you tell me please!

    • @TechOut

      Installing an older version of android likely won't do much for web browsing. Older versions aren't going to work well with modern sites/apps. If this a device you actually use day to day it's definitely time to upgrade.

    For anyone asking how to go to download mode you need to have your boot loader unlocked, To unlock it you have to hold down the volume up and volume down button while the phone is off and then you will see lock bootloader, (THIS WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE ASWELL SO BACK UP YOUR DATA)) Then after setting up the phone again hold the same buttons and boom you've done it

    • @TechOut
      @TechOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You do not need an unlocked bootloader for download mode this is incorrect. You can't unlock the bootloader on US devices. You can enter download mode to flash official Samsung software with it locked.

      There seems to be a prevailing attitude among developers that they don't really want to teach people how to do this, they should just know. Believe me, I've spent a lot of time on XDA developers and this is the attitude I get aaaallll the time. How do they expect people to learn this? You would think they'd want a richer base of developers.
