How to choose your fishing braid for spodding and spombing.

This is my experience of different diameter braids when spodding and spombing, some good and some not so. I've found that cheap braid doesn't always mean poor quality.
I think it's all too easy to get caught up in the tackle spending race by sticking to the main carp brands when we probably need to look further afield at different brands.

Looking to re-spool my spod rod because I’m having similar problems to what you’ve had. I’d prefer to do without a shockleader are you still using this braid and what sort of distances are you achieving. Great review thanks
