      You buy a spinner jig. You place the board between the clamps and turn it upside down, then solder the component legs.

    Nice design, but in the schematic the 120k resistors are connected between the bases of the transistors, while in the video they look connected between the collectors. Which is correct ? Thank you.

    do you use the PNP or NPN version of the 557 and 547?

      557 is a PNP type transistor
      and 547 is an NPN type transistor.
      You can use other PNP and NPN transistors also.

    As always amazing works from your channel. Is it possible to use a 12V power source in this circuit? Or would it be necessary to size the resistors and capacitors? Input supply voltage, 4.5 V to 16 V according to datasheet.

      Yes this circuit should work in 12V.
      Don't put 16V on this circuit it might damage the 555 ic.
      and don't understood what you meant by size the resistors and capacitors.

      The supply voltage will be 12V. About the sizes of resistors and capacitors are the values. Capacitors I will use 10uF 16V. I think resistors I should calculate by the application voltage due to the LEDs. In your project a 3.7V battery was used and as I am going to use 12V I have to calculate the resistors I think...

      You don't need to change anything for 12V you can just simply put this circuit on 12V.

      If you want it to run on 12V, you may need to add current limiting resistor for the LEDs to prevent damaging them.

      You can use 3.5V to 14V on this circuit, without changing anything.

      Only this guy acts like he created the Johnson circuit when all he's doing is timing thr charge of a caps with a 557 or 8 which has a fast edge for making oscillator circuits.
      You'd think with the subs and views this guy has he'd buy his music instead of using the free stuff again and again. If I needed directions on how to make this circuit I'd throw away all the gear I've saved up for over the years.

      To increase the speed you can use less value capacitors or you can decrease the resistors value.

    Without a circuit diagram there is absolutely no chance of fault finding if this doesnt work when you try to follow this.

      In simple words -
      When the 555 delivers a high signal, it goes through a 120k resistor and keeps charging the 1st 10uF capacitor. The 100k resistor keeps on discharging the capacitor. So the capacitor charges slowly. After a period of time the capacitor gets enough change to turn on the transistor. Since I have used a BC547 as a 1st transistor. So it gives a low signal to the next BC557 transistor. Which works similarly and delivers a high signal and so on the circuit circuit continues. Next whenever the 555 gives a low signal, the capacitor stops getting charged. So the capacitor starts getting discharged slowly. And so the first transistor goes off causing the next transistor to go off slowly and so on the off cycle continues.
