    I have had mine since 2017 and it still looking good. Just has ur usual wear marks but still solid. I did replace the cash strap though. It was starting to come apart soo i put in a warranty request and within 3 days i had my new strap free of charge. Customer service was great. Now it feels like new again. Extremely worth it.

    I have 3 Ridge wallets (Damascus, Carbon Fiber and Burnt Titanium). I also have 3 of the knock off Rossm wallets. I use both brands. Daily carry are the Rossm variants. Ridge is if I wanna dress up a little. I think both brands are great.. I've had all of them for over 2 years with no complaints from any of them. I drive a GMC Yukon Denali and people ask me why don't I have an Escalade? Same concept with the wallet. Ridge is the caddy and Rossm is the GMC... Both are fine!

    Good review! I have had mine for just over 8 years and it was still doing great.......until I lost it about a week ago. I am ordering a new one, this time with a cash strap instead of the clip and also getting the accessory for an air tag, this isn't gong to happen again that I loose it. Myself and wife and daughter searched all over the place trying to find it with no luck sadly.

      @LifeofLoim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've not had that experience. But that is frustrating and a deal breaker for a wallet. I suppose depending on how you organize and use your wallet could affect this.

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I knew how high long the elastic on the wallet would last I would have chosen the cash strap. I had used money clips in the past so that's why I opted for the money clip but if/when I get another one I'll go for the cash strap.

    Him saying life's too short to deal with cheap crap. (Me with my cheap knockoff) I agree 😂 I don't expect the knock off to last 4 years but I expect at least 1 year of use they got replacement parts to buy so I'm not worried.

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure! I definitely buy cheap at times but something I use every day I tend to get frustrated if it doesn't work well. I Tried a couple cheap versions of a minimalist wallet before going with the Ridge.

  • @larysius
    @larysius ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have to second your opinion on the worth of the ridge wallet. I have the exact same model, except for having the cash strap instead of the money clip. And while mine isn't quite as beat up as yours, lol, mine is still in great shape. The elastic is still very much stretchy, and the carbon fiber plates are virtually unblemished. The only thing I've got is lint stuck to the elastic strap. I've had mine since 2019, and while I have swapped out a wallet here and there just for the heck of it, this one has predominantly been my daily driver.

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I do keep the wallet in the same pocket as my keys. Since I have the carbon fiber version the wallet itself doesn’t show many scratches but the money clip is pretty scratched up. If I were to buy another wallet I’d actually opt for the elastic money strap instead of the money clip.

      Money clip or the band? Which is better

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KingLouOG I don't have any experience with the band, only the money clip, but I can say that my money clip has worked well for nearly 5-years (the video was made almost a year ago and I'm still using the wallet today). It has not bent and still holds bills firmly. I'm guessing the band is made from the same material as the elastic that holds the card section together which has also held up very well (still has good elasticity) so I'd guess the band would also last well. I guess it comes down to personal preference. Maybe I should get one with a band and give it a try. 🤔

    Do you keep your wallet in a dedicated pocket as you would with your mobile phone, in order to avoid scratches and blemishes, or your keep your wallet together with your keychain?… by the way great video!

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I keep my wallet in my right front pocket and my phone in my front left pocket. I’m guessing that the potential for scratches on your phone would increase especially with the money clip but phone screens (at least iPhone) are so durable these days I don’t worry much about scratches.

  • @superduperarmas

    I’ve been seriously considering buying the titanium version ( I literally have it in my cart right now). My only concern is I was reading only that it scratches up your cards pretty bad over time. Did you have that issue ?

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've not had any issue with the usability of the cards, if that's what you're asking. I suppose, over time, cards get scratched but honestly, I'm not sure if that's from the wallet or just use.

  • @KingkeizerNL

    Hey man, I'm thinking of buying this. I was wondering u say u use 11 cards, what if u go back to 5 cards. Is the Elastic band still tight/strong?

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  ปีที่แล้ว

      The elastic band still snaps back tight even after having 11 +/- cards in it for a long time. See 3:30 in the video. The wallet is fully together even without the cards. I wouldn't worry about having fewer cards. I actually prefer fewer cards and am always analyzing what cards I really need to keep on me. Hope that helps.

    I've heard a lot of people talk about this wallet (advertising it) but I had never seen one.
    To me, it looks like an absolutely horrific design.
    Who the hell wants to keep their bills outside of the wallet? They'll get damaged and they're not particularly tight.
    No place for coins? I know you yanks have 1 dollar bills but that's not the case everywhere in the world.
    And who wants to carry so many cards with them? Just grab the ones you'll need for the day. If you aren't going to the gas station, why even have a gas card with you today?
    That whole package probably weighs more than my hand.
    I dunno, it just seems absurd.

    • @LifeofLoim
      @LifeofLoim  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I appreciate the perspective. Yes, us "yanks" do quite a lot of things in a strange way (some of which I'm not proud of). I would be 100% on board with getting rid of the $1 bill and going to $1 coins as well as ditching the $.01 coin! I, for one, would constantly be forgetting the card I needed for the day if I didn't carry them all with me. I mean, I have one needed for personal purchases, one for business purchases, one for medical purchases, one for getting on mass-transit, one for getting into a certain store, one for getting into work and I go places in different modes of transport (bike, car, transit) so trying to remember which I need to bring depending on all the specifics would drive me nutty (or more nutty than I already am). Also, I've never had a bill damaged with the triple fold that I do, but maybe other countries bills are thinner paper than ours? All in all, it works well for me and I would definitely NOT recommend this wallet for you. 😃 And just to be clear, I wouldn't consider my video's an advertisement. I was not given the wallet for free, I bought it with my own money and am just giving my honest review. Thanks for watching!
