After the most recently situation in Gaijin Forum, I am expecting some pretty nice changes to Chinese tech tree. I believe ZTZ-96A and (P) varient and ZTZ-99 will get historically correct 6x - 12x optics, which will definetely huge improvements to the tanks. Also, ZTZ-96A and (P) varient should get a generation 2 thermal sights. I hope these historical authentic revision can happen soon. Oh, and maybe even ATGM ammo for them (I know some people do not think it as something useful, but personally it is pretty rewarding and even practical to use).
Aaaaand it happened. In one of the most recent hotfixes (i think 4 days ago or something) the ZTZ-96 and ZTZ-99 variants all got sights with i think 6x-11x (like the light tanks) and the ZTZ-96 variants alO got 2nd gen thermals and 3rd gen night vision for the commander

@@ishehaxor average i would say 4-5 the community was cursing at gaijin for these changes forever and even collected the data needed to make them the problem was the gaijin advisor of the chinese tree but that one got removed after a community vote

I bought it to replace the baseline ZTZ96 in my lineup, mainly because that thing has a sizable repair compared to the others.
I recently fought ZTZ96(P) and it's more survivable than turms, i shot 3 times the ammo and it didn't blow up

cuz ztz96's autoloader is higher than T-72s, you should aim higher to one shot it
Both are actually the same for me. Frontal plates are not immune againts 105mm l7 cannon DM33

Ah yes, the thing that ate an M829A1 from my M1A1 HC at point blank range. That aside, I find it funny that new players that have this thing ignore the fact that the APS gives them away at night and refuse to turn it off. Makes for some fun fights in night battles :3

I see so many of these ZTZ now a days they aint all that bad honestly I remember at first I was shooting the bottom near the era and I couldnt break it shot it about 4 times lmao,anyways I was finally able to break his track then gun and shoot inbetween the turrest which blew him up it was pretty hard lol
And they even have artificial weakspots and bugs because the date clerk responsible for the Chinese tech-tree hates the vehicles of these nations and the community
The ZTZ96-99 shouldn't at all have such a massive drivers port weakspot, better ERA performance and gun elevation speed.
The ZTZ99s additionally should have a revers speed closer to ~14kph and working JD-3 Active Protection System

Note from 4/19: as of today, ZTZ96A, A(P) and the duo ZTZ99 changed their sight to 6x-11x; so long-range engagements will be better now.
Also 96A and 96P now have Gen 2 thermals.
Btw the autoloader has a capacity of 22 and you start with 1 shot in the breech so you can carry 23 shots

Some facts: ZTZ-99A is nothing to do with ZTZ-99 series. It's just using the name . It 's a totally different design( At least in the REAL WORLD).

The 99A basically took all the lessons learned when designing the 99 and completely retooled them into a better format.

the chinese tree is the least appealing tree in the game for me but this thing actually looks cool, I don't care really how a tank performs (that much) as long as it looks badass when I'm playing it, count me in

I've seen a handful of mixed games in the PUMA's BR range for the same reason as the A10 lol.
Im currently regulary grinding 9.7 with the american striker. USA being my first nation, its so annoying playing against abrams. Im just learning the weakspots of my own tank. Im also getting other premium tank games. I was on a full turms team other than me.

Depends on what tree you want to play and grind. The 2 PL is not a premium so it has standard reward multipliers and you have to grind or buy its mods, and is a ticket straight to top tier since it's at 10.7. It's not a pack vehicle either so you don't get premium time, and GE when you buy it. It can't grind the entire German ground tree either so the only real value it has is if you already have top tier Germany or just really want to play top tier and suffer/spend a lot of GE to get its mods.
The 96A Proto and TURMS are basically the best ground premiums you can buy for China and Russia, respectively. Sure, they get their fair share of uptiers every now and then but they don't always fight 10.7s and 11.0s. I think that speaks for itself :)

turms or this thing, it depends on which tree you wanna grind. Dont buy 2pl with ge.
I mean I’ve already purchased tho leopard 2 pl with GE, I still love it it’s turret armour is obosuly good and it’s a very powerful tank but my question is, which is better between the T-72 TURMS or ZTZ 96p
@@MrPhoenixWT the ztz 96a has better armor and similar pen, so I would say it's better, although Russia has a stronger top tier lineup, so the turns is better if you want the Russian tree
