I've often heard parents excusing not doing anything about their children's tantrums and bad behavior by saying they'll "grow out of it." There are a lot of full-grown people out there still throwing tantrums and exhibiting bad behavior.
My kids never threw tantrums especially in public places like the mall. Before we go out, I would explain to them: "We only have enough money for the things we NEED to buy and if you found something you like, we can save and TRY to go back for it next time. If you try to make a fuss, then I can always give you money for the bus and you can go home on your own." It worked all the time. 😁
I would never talk to my sister again if she talked to me like that. Clearly she is very jealous of her older sister for her achievements and has her own self-esteem issues, but with family like this, who needs enemies?
I'm 68 and never married. By the time I was in my 40s, my married female coworkers were telling me how smart I was to have stayed single. Also, Lisa, if one has not been brainwashed since childhood to believe that one is nothing without a man, it's easy to turn down marriage proposals from men whom one does not love.
I'm not sure Lisa's motivation into marriage was reliance on a man so much as a jealous competition of attention against her sister. It seems like up to that point she was leading a blissfully ignorant life of manipulating the people around her (i.e. the coffee shop patrons).
My mother and grandmother used to both poke fun of me for being an "old maid" but by the time I was in my 30s my grandmother said I "was the only smart one of them," referring to my cousins and aunts. Because my cousins and aunts had multiple failed marriages and kids they couldn't support.
More of these stories need to emphasize that some of us men prefer a ladies personality over physical features. I also taught my son to look at inner beauty instead of focusing on one's external appearance

Lisa critisized her older sister for getting married at 38 yrs old, saying she's old. I've known of woman who got married at 40. Then, had a child at 41 and another child at 43. The children are now grown up and the mum is 70+ and still healthy. The children are normal and healthy too! 😊
If you are healthy and stay healthy and fit, you age much slower and maintain youthfulness longer today. Being in your 70’s and 80’s, you can still be active and attractive. Look at some of the pictures of men and women in their 50’s back 100 years ago (1920’s). They look ancient. By the end of the 21st century, longevity will exceed 100 years….. as long as we don’t kill ourselves off before then.
My 3rd oldest brother had their wedding scheduled for awhile for first week in July. A couple months before his wedding, my 2nd oldest brother set their date for the last week in June. Always thought it was strange, but that it was her that wanted it to be first. Didn’t matter to me, maybe we had relatives coming in from out of town they wanted to be able to attend? That was decades ago, I was a teenager, that bought and wore the same dress to both, lol.

When I met the girl I married, she told me that her younger sister was prettier. She was definitely wrong about that. When she was growing up, her mother and most of her relatives were saying that the younger sister was beautiful. I respectfully disagree. Lena refused to get married that young and planned on getting married when she was older. Lena said she was 35 years old when she got married and did not regret waiting that long.
I have siblings that are also far younger than me. None of them act like this. Then at 13:10 they "figured out" they were both missing their own weddings for the client issue? One thing about beautiful people is they depend on thier beauty so much they don’t really gather other skills like the less beautiful people do. Like I always say: time will always erode beauty.
Honestly, if Lisa's parents had only nipped her behavior in the bud as a child Lisa may not have turned out so terrible. But, even then as an adult, Lisa had the chance to grow up and fix herself.

I never understand why people think getting married and having kids after 30 is so weird or wrong.
My parents had me when they both were 34 years old, and they got married when they were both 49 years old (theyre both gonna be 54 years old this year)

When I met the girl I married, she told me that her younger sister was prettier. She was definitely wrong about that. When she was growing up, her mother and most of her relatives were saying that the younger sister was beautiful. I respectfully disagree. I've seen the pictures and clearly my petite wife has always been the best looking out of the three girls. I still can't stop myself from staring at her even though we've been married almost 36 years.

Neither do I. I remember a family friend, Lena, told me about her sister who was older than her got married when she was 21 years old. Lena refused to get married that young and planned on getting married when she was older. Lena said she was 35 years old when she got married and did not regret waiting that long.
If the older sister is 38 and there is 10 years difference the younger sister is not that young.

I have siblings that are also far younger than me. None of them act like this. Lisa’s parents should have introduced her to some discipline the first time she had a temper tantrum and that would have saved her much heartache in the end. Parents that refuse to discipline their children aren’t doing them any favors.

I had to imagine it to see the ‘bride’ decked out in her wedding garment being dragged out on her back while kicking and screaming like a red faced demon scorned, ‘He’s mine! He’s Mine! I want him!’ Oh it’s a delight that I’m single and I won’t marry any human being as long as I live. In fact, I offer my deepest sympathies to those whose wedding was almost ruined like this one.
I love these silly stories always give me a chuckle. But sad fact is that there are actual women who do this stuff.
I mean, they already knew they were getting married on the same day, so that wasn't a huge revelation. How can people still be so immature even though they are adults? Weddings used to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Why is Kenneth still trying to marry her? Kenneth shouldn't be ignoring the red flags. How does Kenneth not know his fiancée is the evil younger sister? Kenneth found out the truth. What kind of company calls people in on their wedding day to fix problems? If the company couldn't fix the problems, then that is not a good company to work for. Ken needs to tell her himself that the wedding is cancelled.

A wedding is a SACRED ceremony meant to celebrate and acknowledge a life long bond between 2 people who love and cherish each other AND (maybe, this does not always happen) any future CHILDREN they have. It is meant to UNITE TWO FAMILIES. Wouldn't using a wedding as a tool to enact a petty revenge or undeserved underhanded attack on someone you do not like be a total and absolute DISREGARD on the sacredness and true purpose of such an event??? It is my belief that nobody who truly loves their spouse would use the ceremony meant to celebrate that love and be the time and place for that love to be fully and officially committed as a weapon against another person or people for some petty conflict. If anyone ever does do that it means THAT THEY DO NOT LOVE THEIR SPOUSE.
If i was about to marry a woman and found out that she had used our wedding as a tool to hurt or try to hurt someone else I would refuse to marry her and call off the wedding EVEN IF I ALSO DISLIKED THE PERSON SHE WAS USING THE WEDDING AS A WEAPON AGAINST.
That is so antithetical to what a wedding is SUPPOSED to be for that to me it fully and totally invalidates the ENTIRE WEDDING and by extension THE MARRIAGE.

Someone need to get their stories straight. At the 5:53 mark, Kenneth told Andrea his wedding was on the same day. Then at 13:10 they "figured out" they were both missing their own weddings for the client issue? Did they both really forget having a discussion where Kenneth told her he met his bride the same way as the sister told her. and that they couldn't attend each others weddings because they were on the same day. So yes even if Kenneth was an idiot, they could have had further conversations at work and figured out he was the sisters victim, and cancelled before the wedding day (and saved a bunch of money on cancellation fees) And that doesn't even include the fact that sis apparently never checked the RSVPs of her invitations to notice no one from her family was attending while bragging that they were.

I'm baffled by Lisa's stupidity. Complaining that her older sister isn't married yet wants to sabotage her sister's wedding by scheduling on the same day on purpose.
I would have hung up halfway through Lisa's first speech. Pretty sad that she thinks her looks are all that matter.
Kenneth and Andrea were so dense in that conversation:
"My sister is getting married on the same day as me."
"Really? What a coincidence, my fiancé and her sister are getting married on that same day."
"My sister met her fiancé in such-and-such a way."

This story was so odd to me….why have her family let Lisa act this way for so long?? She’s a freaking adult, and the parents made little effort to discipline her throughout her childhood.
I’d understand the sister cutting her out, and the husband. But the family don’t even seem guilty for how they’re daughter/niece/cousin is acting on a wedding day.
Also why did the company call them to work on their WEDDING DAY? And how would they not put two and two together that they were going to be in laws?
Overall this story just seems rushed, and I feel like the reason for Lisa’s jealously is stupid, but oh well.
The parents might have just given up at this point. After working hard to raise a decent person, it's no wonder they didn't want to have to do it all over again when they have the younger sister 10 years after their first child.
