Many of the bravest Soldiers in the AFP came from Cordillera especially came from Kalinga. They contributed a lot in the Davao Region when it comes in fighting insugency there. That is why Cordillera is the home of the brave. Before and after Spaniards came the Cordillera is a head hunters people,we were savage then ,we were territorial that is why the Cordillera never conquered by the Spaniards.
This is what a moto-travel vlogging should be. Educational, immersive and informative. Kudos Kumander Daot. More like this please. KD defines what a content creator is about. - You inspired me.
The landscape in this part of the Philippines is truly amazing, but the interview with the Kalinga Manong was really something special. As vloggers, we try to accurately share what we're seeing and filming but to get it right from an elder is an amazing occasion! I loved seeing that village too! Thanks for sharing Anselm.
I was just in Buscalan, Kalinga about three weeks ago. Absolutely gorgeous area, my video will be coming out probably in two weeks. I went up there with my friends to get tattoos from the legendary Apo Whang-od. Made some friends and more while in Buscalan. I am hoping to go back again the end of next month.
I could listen to that man talk about the Kalinga people and their culture for hours 1:13. That was so interesting and informative. I can see why your friend put you in contact with him. He is so knowledgeable. I really don't think you could have found anyone better.
@@KumanderDaot I am interested to hear what other stories he had to tell. Maybe a separate video on that alone? That would be more educational to your viewers 😉 it’s also fair that his effort of sharing you their heritage stories was not wasted because you share it to the world also. Hope you consider sharing it to us too😍 Thanks
KD, as always, this is amazing. I hope you know how lucky you are to have reached the far flung areas of the Cordilleras.. not all Filipinos in their lifetime has seen the beauty of this part of the country. I hope you get to create a separate channel solely for the interactions/ interviews you did with people like Sapi. All the best to you, KD. 💪
Thats my lola mayed in a green tshirt store owner thank you for visiting my home town komander daot . There are so many places you can enjoy there if u explore the whole villages qng brgy there..
Thanks Kumander Daot for showcasing the unbeaten path of the Philippines; its hidden beauty, culture and traditions of the natives in the area. Very enlightening and a real eye-opener
Ur brave KD! I love that place that looks like an outdoor museum featuring traditional houses u can in that part of PH. And that gentleman u r conversing with is very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. His English is perfect... I'm so amazed 👏...
Good morning! All over the Philippines there is its own unique spirituality that connects its people to a higher level of appreciation for what they have been given. They cherish their past, and always are open to share what they have to anyone who takes time to deepen their understanding and appreciation such as what you do. This interaction in turn radiates a brighter and solid future for the Philippines. ❤ Thank you for what you are doing, Manderdee!
What You went , honestly I dont know about it . Tnks for that! Hope I can visit it too. And you experience a conversation with old Kalinga man who is truly articulate in english .
What a beautiful vlog series! It's like I'm watching a documentary Kumander. Learning and seeing the people, the places, mountains and the road of North Luzon. Thank You and continue doing what you love Kumander Daot! Stay safe and Enjoy!!
Obviously Cordilleran towns have more interesting culture than any region in the Philippines, these beautiful towns, nice well built houses & all these amazing rice terraces already tells something/a lot about the behavior of the folks living in these towns/communities. I'll be back there someday & explore more other areas/towns.
Throw back mid 70'sto 80's.Some foreign missionaries in Kalinga Apayao. So bless this Province with beautiful nature peaceful community .mostly are working abroad.Thsnk you Sir K.D for exploring kalinga and sharong their culture.❤w.f.Hongkong
Very informative content KD. I missed uncle Sapi, his family, and Lubuagan as a whole. They are my adoptive family in Kalinga. When I watched your Kalinga Part 1 video, I was hoping to see you meet uncle Sapi and his family. I'm happy you did and I could tell you learned a very important aspect of Kalinga culture from him. You may have noticed one of my Lubuagan landscape photo frames there. Uncle Sapi is one of my inspirations in photography.
another place I haven't been to, thanka for going to these interesting places. I've been to many provincea but mostly to touristy places. Appreciate seeing places I've never seen before.
My salute to KD Anselm we would not even dare go to these places! Its so hard to go out of our comfort zones❤ With you passion you are able to conquer places such as the mysterious Cordillera!❤
Hi all. It so interesting seeing all cultures , but as you get older and you've traveled around the world and your mind open up. So many similar culture practices, appears all around the world. Like what you saw with the stone building and the seed grinding and the huts. South Africa and Middle eastern and New Guinea, Egypt culture seem to be all here. I assume because of the shipping trading routes if the world ,in past history of the world growing
