Robert deserve the 2020 balondor for sure but they canceled it, in 2021 it seems bit harsh with him and this yr he surely won't, before 2020 he wasn't in the race even...he was scoring tons of goals before 2020 also but as we know Bundesliga is not highly rated so for a player to make the podium from ligue or Bundesliga they need to win ucl and give some greatest performance, I haven't seen him doing this before 2020 apart from his 4 goals at bernabeu..

Thomas Muller is also much more underrated from golden boot in FIFA 2010 to world champion in 2014 and high availability for Bayern in Bundesliga,..he is among best passer in world with the best passing skill ,.. unfortunately because of pop culture of football and big pocket clubs of la liga and premier league he didn't get rewarded as per expectations and played entire carrier selflessly,.. without money and goal hunger .

So when Madrid bid for Mbappe last year, PSG contacted Bayern to negotiate for Lewandowski as a replacement, however Bayern didn't even bother to listen to their offer. Generally when you're wanted by another club it is expected from the parent club to offer improved terms, increased wages and longer term however Bayern didn't offer him such a contract even after 9-10 months into 21-22 season. Lewa didn't feel respected and now he wants a switch for of course recognition and some respect on his name.

Karim Benzema has had a good season but in terms of consistency I will never count him as one of the best strikers. Even next season we can't be sure that Benzema will perform like he has done this season. But when it comes to Lewandowski he has been consistent form the past 5-6 seasons and you can confidently say that he will definitely give you 20-30 goals for the coming 2-3 seasons but the same confidence can't be shown for Benzema !!
But ever since Ronaldo left Benzema has been consistent in scoring but he was not scoring like this before because he was playing second fiddle to ronaldo

Bayern was delaying their contract extension again and again, they were not giving priority to Lewandowski contract extension like they were for other players, they delaying it from start of the season and they said it will be cleared by end of the season but that thing wasn't cleared, same thing happened not focusing on his contract and told him to stay there till the next season and they will decide for renewal then
