Everyone in the comments is saying how dumb and boring league is. I watch a Real Madrid vs. Barcelona game and I fall asleep, seriously. Same with union, It so bloody slow at least football/soccer is fast. And i like afl a lot, but to me nothing keeps me on the edge of my seat more than a league game. I and all other league fans seriously don't care if it's not popular around most of the world, it just make's it more special to us. I would rather get paid $800 000 to play league than $80 000 000 to play football/soccer. The amount of skill under fatigue accompanied by the toughness not equaled by any other sport and the amount of emotion and love showed by the players for their team and jersey rather than dollar bills in their bank and making incredible moments that I just can't seem to find the same in other sports. Then x10 that in State of Origin or Finals matches... IT IS THE GREATEST SPORT ON EARTH *FULL STOP*

I went to the bunnies vs tigers game where Nathan kicked the field goal. as a 11 year old back then it was emotional for me. Nathan is one of the best wingers to ever play rugby league.
I went to the tigers Vs manly game where manly run riot over tigers, as I wished to go back there, it was fun and happy for me, 40-6, Tom Trbojevic is one of the best fullbacks to ever play manly

The only Grand Final I had attended was in 2014.
That was a very emotional match, I was in the Souths supporters area and everyone was crying tears of joy - including me.

I wonder if rugby league was played in England as well as it is in Australia would it be more popular here. Its big time in Aus but very much on the fringes here. Don't follow it but am aware of the gulf in standard. My man gripe is the play the ball routine which causes the rapid fire stop start feel of the game (certainly in England anyway), but in Aus there seems to be less straight up running into a wall and more skills on show. Think I was in Aus I'd follow it there
