An issue i find is Turkey, the european part of the country is technically a peninsula from Europe, as three sides are covered in water. This alone whould technically cement turkey on the team as the southern bit of India is counted, however the rest of Asia Minor is still a peninsula, the west has the Aegean Sea, the north the Black Sea, and to the south the Mediterranean meaning turkey itself IS a peninsula.
