So glad you guys are back! We’ve missed you. Very sorry about the loss of your Dad. Thank you so much for bringing us along on your day to day farm journey. We really enjoy the videos!
It is good to see a small family dairy. Sixty years ago my father inherited a 120 acre farm from his dad. We lived 100 miles away, so it was rented. The tenant milked 12 cows and did well enough to raise four children and eventually buy the farm from me, when I bought a local dairy farm which I converted to beef. That was 27 years ago. There were three adjoining dairy farms, all Amish. Today, the nearest dairy farm is two miles away. The others are raising heifers for the huge dairies. I have a client who bottles and retails his milk. It is ""cream top". He has outside sales people who have placed it in convenience stores and supermarkets in Indiana and MIchigan. After years of losses, it turned a tiny profit last year. There is another small dairy near our daughter's farm that uses returnable bottles. They are making it. The future is in value added products. My Amish friend sells small bottles of flavored milk which goes well with the factory break trucks and gas stations. Of course those have to be single use bottles. I hope your project succeeds. Sorry for your losses. I buried our oldest brood cow Friday. She was almost 20. I had to rent an excavator because my backhoe wouldn't start. That is farming. I wouldn't trade it for the city.
So sorry about your loss. I remember when my dad died. The loss was very difficult. The girls are looking great. Hope to see more of your you, your stock and your farm. Thank you for sharing.🐂
Thank you for the update. You were so missed. ❤ You guys have soldiered through all the tests 2023 sent ya, here's to better days ahead for us all. So welcome back. We really did miss getting to see you and your farm. Happy Easter to both of you. 🍀⛰️💚🐄🥛☘️🙏🐇
I’ve missed you, and I’m glad you are negotiating both the grief and the joy. Every time we’ve lost a cow I have blamed myself. Decades of perspective suggests that life is a risky proposition. The only alternative to the risk, however, is mere existence. I’m sorry for your losses, and I treasure the smiles. It’s good to have you back.
Glad to see you are back!!!!!!❤❤ So sorry about your losses. It takes time to process loss. You had so much going, too. I'm glad you prioritized and looked out for your health, too. We love you and understand. Keep healing. I'm praying for you!!!! ❤❤
It's always tough to loose a good cow. As someone once told me as as your loses stay at the barn. Cows look good and clean. Keep up the exceptional team work !
Hi Stacy and Virginia! Welcome Back! So happy to see you both. My husband found your latest video as we were leaving for church so I had to wait hours!!! We had family Easter dinner and just now finally got home to watch. You guys look great…like old friends we’ve missed so much! So easy to understand your absence knowing now the path you were navigating through grief; how wonderful to have the goals of the CCC to work towards together during that hard time. And we’re happy you’ve been feeling like laughing again. We just lost our beloved dog Remy in December and I’m still adjusting to coming home to an empty house and taking my walks alone. The hurt is so raw it takes your breath away. We’ve been watching since the beginning and know how much Rose meant to you. I’m so sorry for the loss of your dad and hope your hearts heal a bit more each day. We love the channel and believe you have the prettiest cows on you tube! Take good care; looking forward to all you have in store to share. Love from Michigan!!
Sorry for your losses. Life can hit hard sometimes, but I'm glad to see you all bouncing back. And I'm glad to see you back too. Wishing the best for you, your family and your farm.
Glad to have you back. What you guys are doing is my dream. It gives me hope I could actually do something like that too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Good to see all of you again. Sorry to hear about Dad, and Rose. I recall we had a right side DA once, not during the prefresh period though. A quick surgery saved her. Definitely looking forward to the cowmedy show!
It’s so funny you created an update video. I was just thinking yesterday I hadn’t seen a video from you in a long time and checked to make sure I was still subscribed. Glad to hear from you guys. Take care.
So good to see you guys on TH-cam again. I've been following your progress with the creamery closely and figured that that was taking a huge amount of your time. I am so sorry to hear of Virginia's dads passing as well as the loss of Rose. Grief takes a huge toll on one I know , so I am thinking of you both as you still work through the loss. Excited to hear what is new on the farm, projects that you have going on . Are you milking on pipeline yet ? You are such an inspiration to small time farmers around the country .
Bon dimanche.
Missed yall! Welcome back! We will all miss Rose!! She was my favorite because we share the same name. Sorry for the loss of your dad. Hugs and looking forward to more content. 🎉
Hello you two! I and everyone else was so excited to see a new video pop up this morning! It really says a lot when people have kept asking if you were going to make new videos. What you have achieved with your farm and with Columbia Community Creamery in such a relativity short amount of time, has been truly inspiring and remarkable. So sorry for the loss of your Dad Virginia, and to your farm for the loss of Rose. Like you said, her memory lives on and so does her legacy through her offspring. Thank you for sharing this with us. It is important to let people and other farmers know that all it's not always perfect on the farm as some like portray on TH-cam. Looking very much forward to future videos!
Hey guys! So very grateful for your proof of life. Sorry for the losses. It is extremely difficult to be always swimming uphill. ❤❤Look forward as you can. 😂😂🎉🎉
was worryd about you guys have ben reading about the government giving small farms lots of problems shutting them down cause of fines etc.sorry for your losses hope all is well now thanks for the update and happy easter
I've been thinking about you and your channel. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your father but so happy for the update and that you'll be posting videos again! THANK YOU 👍
Glad to see you guys again! Super excited to see more about the community creamery. What a great idea. We are continuing to work on our farm as well. We can totally understand being inundated with life and too busy for making videos. The videography can definitely make simple tasks take much longer plus the editing later. Hope you guys continue to share your journey. Take care.
OK, I can breath again. It was so good to see your shining faces on the channel. Then you shared about your loses and my heart goes out to you. Losing family is never easy. I will wait for the next chapter to show up on my feed. By the way, your cows are simply beautiful. With love from Arizona.
Thank you for sharing. I did miss you guys. I have watched your story from the start. Sorry to hear about your dad. God bless you both. Don’t be such strangers. See you soon.
Carnations eyes are absolutely gorgeous!!! ❤❤❤ So happy y'all are back!! Cant wait for your next video!! Will there be a " schedule " for future videos?? So sorry for your loss. I lost my dad several years back. It's certainly not easy, but it will get better. Sorry about Rose as well. It is losing a family member, no matter what others may say!! Hang in there!! Much love from Mid-Michigan ❤️
Long time no see, very interested in the creamery especially the economics and mayby dry to visit if its possible since we going youre direction this year, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer

Welcome back, I've been following your journey with the creamery. Quite amazing how far you've brought it in a short time. Looking forward to seeing the farm again. Happy Easter 😀
Glad to see you again. Sorry to hear of the loss of your dad and Rose. Hope what is going on in Oregon concerning small farms does spill over to Washington or the entire country.
So glad you’re doing better now! I’m sorry about your Dad and Rose. ❤❤ I know how it is with grief, sometimes you just don’t want to share it with the whole world. Congratulations on the creamery! 🥛 🧀
Glad to have you back after a streanous time for you and looking forward to more videos with all your developments from Tamarosa. Your barn is always clean and dry - what do you use as bedding for the cows in the barn and how do you manage it? Maybe an idea for a video? I need a better bedding solution for my small flock of Norwegian heritage sheep - gammelnorsk spelsau - so would be interested to learn more about your solution.
Nice to see you folks again. Sorry to hear about your losses. Losing a family member is hard, and so is losing a pet/animal. I had to put the matriarch of my herd down 2 years ago. She was 18 years old, it was a tough decision but she had a hoof/leg issue and we feared she slip and fall due to snow and ice. We miss her every day. Take care, God Bless and Happy Easter!
So happy to see your video and see you at the Colville home and garden show. I am sorry to hear about the loss in your family and farm family. I'm glad you took the time you needed and the creamery was a big endeavor. Take care.
Glad you are back. Just the other day I watched one of your older videos. How is your cheese cave working out for you? Looking forward to many more videos from you guys. Take care and see you later.
l have checked on the Community tab weekly for over a year....so sorry that you were too devastated and busy to leave a note to your subscribers the way other channels have when similar life changing events have kept them off line.
Hi Folks, Our Condolences for sure. Good Luck with the Creamery. America needs more of this. Thanks for Sharing. 😊
So glad you guys are back! We’ve missed you. Very sorry about the loss of your Dad. Thank you so much for bringing us along on your day to day farm journey. We really enjoy the videos!
I’m so glad you are back. I really enjoy all the videos of your small Dairy operation. Good luck to you all.
Oh no. Rosey was my favorite too. I remember when you went to get all 4 of them. Glad Buttercup is OK and still with you. Very happy you are back.
