I'm a very pro gun guy, and a lot of times I found myself agreeing with Destiny simply on the basis that these clowns were entirely misrepresenting statistics.. Embarassing.

Unbiased guy from another country seeing these people for the first time don't know who they are before this. I will say what the guy in cap said was pretty accurate to me. While guns make it easier to control it is also different a little from a guy who hunts when you kill with a knife rather from distance with a gun something changes within you. Killing up close makes you a bit more cold blooded. People who want to kill will keep killing and they will be more bloodthirsty. Observe if possible the mental state of a man who kills with a gun compares to the guy who bashes skulls in with a bat. I will take on the guy with the gun anyday.

Every time Vincent’s stats were shown on screen, the graphs and data and nothing to do with what he was arguing, and were all about race based violence.

The fact of the matter is he wasn’t “prepared” for this one. I’m sure he was given a basic outline of the content they were going to discuss. The difference was the other guy brought specific data that destiny was able to challenge just because of the sheer number of facts and stats he has memorized. He actually got put on the spot with a couple pretty strong points by the pro gun guy, but he managed to manipulate the conversation to sound more favorable to his view points. Obviously this is all just speculation on my end tho lol but this is how it appeared to me

The graphs he put together are extremely bias or amateurishly made by either only highlighting very particular facts in very particular years or by comparing two variables with 0 correspondence. Destiny doesn't outright say it but constantly says things like "I'm curious as to why you ended the graph there and didn't continue it for a few more years" because if you look at the numbers the following years contradict the message the republican is trying to put forward.

Also if you look up the information he's got in his graphs you'll see that his time scales aren't big enough and that the stats go up and down consistently so they don't really support his claims as well as he's suggesting.

But it's pretty clear to see that Jesse has one of the only platforms that guests are held to the claims they make, the questions are specific/nuanced/ and direct, and Jesse is just a likable dude. Plus his anecdotal experience contributed a lot to the discussions. So, it's not like people are watching for a truly "intellectual" debate (doesn't mean the discussions don't get intellectual at times)....

I agree the red hat guy CERTAINLY looked far more prepared than Destiny and definitely gave him the edge in this debate. However, I also feel the gun control issue in the USA is far too complex to summarise into a binder full of statistics which may possibly be bias towards his view. It would be interesting to critically analyse the source of his statistics and other variables to see how reliable the info is. Another thing I notice is the guy kept making correlations with only 'london' (which I think he means England in general), but how do the statistics fair up vs other countries in the world? (e.g. Australia, Sweden, Switzerland)
