I've been a VIP for 13 years and they made me a sobbing mess in just 2/3 minutes. I grew with them from a kid to an adult. They got me into kpop and I listened to them at my ups and downs. When and if they make a reunion song in the future you would be able to relate so do not worry that you can't relate. This song is for the old VIPs who have been there for years cause it brings back a lot for us.

I would never forget the first time I saw and listened to bigbang's haru haru way back in 2008. They got me into kpop. They were introduced to me with a sad song and now they've comeback with a beautiful bittersweet song. I don't want to admit that this is goodbye (hopefully not) but one thing i know is that bigbang will live on.

BIGBANG literally Your Idol’s Idols. They are the role models of all those famous groups like Bts, Blackpink, Got7, etc... Almost all of my friends fell into Kpop because of BIGBANG. BIGBANG literally the OG, Legend and Kings of Kpop without any doubt. Almost every reactors were crying during their reactions on this BigBang comeback. We really do hope that is a comeback song instead of a farewell song. BIGBANG literally makes everyone with tears because of their comeback. Their vocals could touched into our hearts easily.
The korean name of the song is Spring Summer Fall Winter, with each members representing a season (Spring - Taeyang, Summer - GD, Fall - Daesung, Winter - TOP). The flowers surrounding Taeyang represents Spring and also VIPs (fans) because our light stick look like a field of yellow flowers when viewed from above (like the background in GD's scene). This may or may not be a callback to the song Flower Road (released in 2018, the start of their military hiatus) where they said "Lets meet again when the flowers bloom"
Mann... big bang being almost everyone's first introduction to kpop and now hearing them again they didn't even do too much but it was enough for me. (Explanation: The song and the Mv for me really shows that this is their last stand as "Big bang" such as how each member was never shot together Their last song before this was flower road which mentioned alot that they'll be coming back in spring which is now. But i think what it truly meant was to show that their gonna go down this flower road because it's the end of their season and it's spring, the time of theirs is no longer said by the seasons so they've moved on. Daesung sitting on one of the four chairs and the others empty shows that he's alone now and the paths have changed, him walking through many rooms could mean he's reminiscing. Taeyang on the boat (if I'm not wrong it's in one of Big bangs other mvs too) stranded full of flowers, normally a boat that's casted away with flowers means a goodbye so... yeah The flowers also resembled the light stick which could also mean he's reminiscing of the time he got to perform GD reminiscing the times he could've grown in where he mentioned alot of that in his lyrics Also yes that's GDs real name, he has left the name "G dragon" since his last solo in 2017 because that's his "true self" As we know GD is a top director he's till this day a super producer, writer in kpop, if you haven't seen the old vids he's able to write a full song in the span of 5mimutes and that's a fact that's boasted by YG. So him leaving that is probably him not wanting to continue this road anymore.. We also can see when he sat on the chair he saw a glimpse of all the fans which could be reminiscing but he left it and you can see flowers on the chair which means it's the end of the season and he has moved on. Same with T.o.p with the lyrics and him in space could be loneliness and him staring at earth could mean that he's not fitting or maybe choose to leave the place he called "home" on earth. And the song called "still life" idk but it could either mean they still have life for this song or they still have a life to pursue after. Always a beginning always an end" And yeah for people who don't really know Big bang they wouldn't get this song but Big bang is one of the only groups who survived this long and still one of the best and most influential, respected groups of all time. no one has topped their stage performance up to this day. In my opinion, we feel happy at the same time sad since everyone expecting a comeback and fans was waiting a lot of years and here it is they came back. But the sad part was the song itself you can feel it and pain was there especially part on TOP and as well they are not complete.
I've been a Big Bang fan since 2009, it was a long wait for their comeback, and if it feels like a farewell song maybe that's what's going on, but hearing and seeing them again makes us happy. Dudes, BIGBANG literally introduced me to kpop when i was like 12yo, im 25 rn, is fckn crazy, then everything happened... and they where gone, and i missed them sm, so this comeback means a looot to me, i literally cried whatching the video, i was sweating and so excited, the golden days of kpop man... im so thankful to BIGBANG for showing me this world for the first time more than 10 years ago. I've been a VIP for 14 years and seriously when I got home from work that morning and pulled up the MV, I paused it at the start and hesitated. I was so anxious to start what I feared may be the end of the group I had grown up with. Watching the first time, I felt really emotional but when TOP turned around to look at us, I burst into tears and sobbed the rest of the MV and for 20 minutes after. I had thought TOP would not show his face during the MV, but I was so thankful he looked at us. I rewatched it so many times since then and re-read the lyrics over and over again. It's not a goodbye to VIPs, but a goodbye to their painful past and a greeting of a happier future. Before the hiatus, they asked us in their song "Flower Road" to wait for them, and VIPs promised to wait. A lot went down and there was a lot of hate thrown at the group in general, but VIPs stood strong against it all and waited patiently. "Still Life" is them keeping their promise to meet us on the flower road. Growing up with them, I've always felt like they were distant older brothers and they gave me a lot of strength when I struggled through my adolescence. I've spent more than half of my life as a VIP, and I will be a VIP until the day I die. They mean so much to me, and no matter what path they choose to walk down I will pray with all of my heart for their happiness. You may have not known them as long as some of the older VIPs, but it's never too late to know them and see their journey. You can always check out their older discography (I'm talking all of the classics like "Heaven", "Tonight", "We Belong Together", "Lies", "Only Look At Me", "Last Farewell", "Love Song", etc.); and I also suggest live stages or concerts you can find on TH-cam because GUYS!!!! Their concerts and live stages are where it is at. Trust me. Their music is amazing but it ALWAYS sounds even better live. Also adding because I got to that section of the video but I think the flowers represent VIPs since our fandom color is that shade of yellow. It may signify how when everything crashed, VIPs stayed with them but that's my guess. I know the flowers are definitely VIPs, but I'm not certain about the boat.

Bigbang has been through so much and the last years have been very uncertain. We didn't know if they ever would return. This song is for the fans and fans only, we don't know if it's a goodbye song or something else. This song symbolises youth and maturing, becoming a better person and starting again. Bigbang is one of the most influential kpop groups, they've paved the way for self producing idols. Gdragon invented the lightstick. My comment would be pages long if I listed all their accomplishments. They have such big impact. This song had no promotion and won't be promoted and still achieved #1 on the all charts in Korea. This after the multiple scandals and big hiatus. Bigbang is a group that will never be forgotten.
Theyve been through ALOT . Its like a nightmare. Some their fault some not. They get lot of hate because they were the most popular band in their country. They are national boy band . So they were scrutinize more than other bands but forgiven more than other bands. Journalist like to use them as clickbaits. They are one of the most popular groups during 2nd generation or the golden age of kpop that spearheaded the spread of kpop in asia and some parts of the west . Theyre life is full of up and down. Fall and rise. But more happy times before 2019 due to seungri. They still have a large fanbase that is happy they cameback because they made a promise to fans even though its hard and while they are still under the scrutiny of the public due to scandals. but this might be the last time so their fans are emotional.

I've been a bigbang fan since 2009 and they honestly are home to me. Their music has been such an escape for me and you know in the past years waiting for them was not easy especially when you see them being crucified for so many things. This songs feels like goodbye but Bigbang will always be Bigbang, no matter what.
I dont know how bigbang does it. Their songs make you feel nostalgic. Its like they are a part of your childhood even if they werent. The feeling doubles for those who actually did support them since they were kids. Seen them struggle and stand back up after every scandal. And they had plenty.
I love that they decided that their first comeback after all this time is a ballad because while they could have come back with a banger club hit, they are older and mature and have gone through so much since their last comeback. BIGBANG and 2NE1 are like my parents in kpop. They're the reason why i'm listening to kpop. I'm just 19 yrs old but i've been a VIP for 9 years now. So hearing this is definitely something that makes me happy and sad at the same time to like experienced this now after what they've been through because i've seen those tough times. This was definitely a very special comeback that is solely for VIPs like me. I'm also glad seeing a lot of reactors trying to get to know BIGBANG now eventhough it might be late but actually it's never too late to stan bigbang. I actually didn't feel like this would be a Goodbye song but more of like them saying goodbye to their past traumas and starting a new life just like what TOP said in his part. i also thought that TOP would keep his mask on the whole video that's why when he removed it and look at the camera I may have just died there. TOP looks honestly so hurt, with his facial expression and his lyrics which hurt me also, especially because I've seen what they have gone through the past years and how much it affected them but TOP saying that he'll leave it all behind and start a new life, I definitely feel happy and proud for him because he deserves it. also with GD's part for me, the vibe that I got was that he's just sad and angry that this happen to them by the way he reminisces about the glorious days that they had which I understand because of all they've been through. Daesung, on the other hand, felt emptiness because of his scenes, lyrics, and him seating alone in one of the 4 chairs. and lastly, for Taeyang I feel like out of all them he's the one who is more content should I say. like he's content but hopeful at the same time especially because he has his own family, a baby coming on the way. yk so honestly this doesn't at least for me feels like a 'goodbye' song. what I think is that this may or may not be their last for now because they'll focus on their solo careers for now especially TOP since he has already mentioned in an interview that he's preparing to release a solo album. God, this was so so sad. Bigbang are so epic, that they started a lot of the trends you see today. Multiple rappers in a group, that was started by bigbang. Multi coloured hair, bigbang. Lightsticks, bigbang. U see a lot of the new fandoms disrespecting bigbang because they simply haven’t experienced them. Fact is a lot of todays artists developed what these guys started. This comeback was nostalgic. We waited so long for a comeback and got what feels like a goodbye. I have no doubt we’ll see them in solo projects but it feels this will be it for a while from them as a group. Their career path seems to be following 2NE1. But they’ll forever be legends
I been a VIP for 16 years and when I watched this video I literally sobbed. I felt happy hearing their voices again. Sad because of the whole situation. And releif because of their message. They were not in any screen together because they are different point of life right now and are incomplete witotheir 5th member. The flowers are blooming because they promised to come back once they did and that promised was kept. They have been through so much and seeing this and hearing how they felt gave me reassurance that they’ll be just fine.

As I discover more of their songs, the one that stuck to me the most, (shit, I remember like it was just yesterday) listening to "Blue" in freezing cold winter, but it made me soo sad and gloomy despite not knowing any of their lyrics. It intrigued me so much I had to search up the meanings. Then, I realised there's so many nuances in Hangul that direct translation didn't do any justice (that's why I really appreciate ppl like you breaking it down like this). Then my journey continues with all their songs and even solo ones, like my personal fav GD's "A Boy". The lyrics of him talking/confronting his past self is genius and universal it makes you can relate yourself and even talk to your past. "Still Life" reminded me of those feelings. I felt like Daesung threw me brick with "Goodbye now to my beloved young days" and GD's "Passed the seasons without maturing, and long gone without maturing" hits me like a truck. I've grown older, busy with more responsibilities everyday without realising time passed by (like Daesung watching the armless clock and his hairstyle changed) but at the same time, deep inside I'm still that clueless immature boy. TOPs part is very interesting as I feel he's the only one who talks about future. "I leave towards amazon of inspiration(caption said leaving inspiration's amazon lol), wanna bury past traumas and angers, becoming good and better person". "For life~" part felt so deep, like he wanna to do all that, for the sake of life, being alive. And him being on the moon with a mask is very heartbreaking as it implies he don't wanna deal with this world anymore, especially after what he's been through. But he still show glimpse of him when he unmasked for us VIPs. Stay strong man, we love you. Nice touch of GDs part with the ocean of yellow. "I keep remembering those days with radiance and love, longing those boys and girls that cried and laugh". Me too, I kept remembering those days and experience at live concerts and every of their releases that I followed. Bigbang and VIPs really feeding off each other, through thick and thins. And that really emphasised more on Taeyangs "through our hearts staining red and bruising blue". "Still Life" is like the rain in GDs part. After the rain it gives us beautiful rainbow, but slanted like a sneer. We happy excited for this comeback, but mannn it made us sad and sentimental. Still life’ is the English tittle but in Korean the tittle is ‘spring,summer,fall,winter’ all together as one word. This song is a visual representation of what they’ve done/ been up to after the disbandment. GD shows bits of his past solo career and modeling/ directing career. He’s also seen wearing old stage outfits( rocker fit). Taeyang shows old stage outfits as well(feather jacket) and the flower filled boat has a double meaning of being surround by VIPs and his latest solo album. T.O.P also is seen with an old stage outfit(oversized shark teeth hoodie) but his scenes shows how he is stepping away from the idol life. As in being on the moon alone and away from earth where everyone is. And hello! He sung for us, the VIPs, which is truly a gift as he wearily ever sings. For Daesung he’s seen alone in the 4 chair scene as he’s always been vocal about wanting to get Big Bang together again. As he continued making music and writing songs for others idols. I've been a VIP for soooooo long !!! Big Bang were the ones that got me into K-POP in the first place. So how I feel with them coming back got me super excited and emotional !! To where I want them to have a concert already lol. When I first watched the music video, I started crying ! I haven't hear them together singing in so long ! Bigbang debuted In 2006 .the 5 member grp dropped their last full album in 2015 ,a global hit and that was 9 yrs into their career literally glorious days of kpop. one by one members started enlisting for mandatory military service. I am pretty sure they had vulnerable thoughts to stay away from art at their peak. while few where in military one of the members caught up in major sc@ndal leading to him leaving the grp and retirement frm the music industry and there is still no evidence to prove he his involved.this left a huge blacklash on bb as people started questioning their 10 yrs of trust and started boycotting ygbgs back in 2019. members were put in a difficult position cuz they coudn't respond as they were in military while everything's crumbling ryt b4 their eyes. I don't think bb is comfortable doing music as BIGBANG without one of the members probably the reason why there is not a single shot of them together. TOP recently said it in an interview that he is leaving YG and is starting anew and he has no plans of promoting in Korea(he was also scrutinized by k-nets which shows his anger and the lyrics). he said he'll be their wen bigbang needs him. From the mv i think they r trying to move on from the past and I can see they r really not happy as 4 but cherishes the band which put them in a difficult position . The future activities of bigbang is still a question mark but I think the members will stay with music and art and release them wen they r ready and wen they r comfortable. The design of yellow flower surrounded by TaeYang when he singing, looks very similar to when he performing on stage and surrounding by crown light stick, if you saw their concert pic before you will remember it. (BIGBANG have 5 members, SeungRi left then TOP change label) About the chair, we believe the four chair is four members, DaeSung who sat at the second right seat earlier in the MV means that is his seat. According to the sequence, the most right seat that is broken should be SeungRi's seat. The most left will a slightly scratch is TOP's seat as he left too. GD's seat is the one with his name in his own scene as he is the ldr and producer all the time. The four flowers, we believe is four members. GD's one is holding by himself in his scene. The last scene is five line, even thought it's not MADE album song but still five line, but two lines go left, three lines go right. If you get what I mean, this is a very meaningful song from them to us.

But to BigBang and this MV - I am a bit fed-up of always having to explain who is BB and what is their claim to KPop fame. There are Google and Wikipedia and so many other search engines. No diss but c'mon... In a nutshell though, BigBang and particularly GD (GDragon's name comes from his actual name Kwon Jiyong. G for Jiyong and Kwon for Dragon) are respected for how they changed KPop with their debut album way back in 2006. Because of their love for Rap/Hip-Hop, they wrote and produced tracks with heavy emphasis on these two genres. They also began incorporating other genres such as R&B, Soul, EDM, rock, etc. They stood out even more because the band they developed and worked with for "live" tours were all Black American who always speak highly of them; the band stated they were made to feel and be part of the process and not just considered a backing band (See soundbyte in the movie "MADE" on the evolution of BigBang). Their lead dancer/choreographer is also a woman of colour, Parris Goebel, whose dance group has won the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships three times. Bigbang is the group that introduced me to kpop. I was 12 years old and now I'm turning 21 this year. Bigbang was part of my childhood and they've been with me in my ups and downs even in the darkest and saddest moments of my life I have found comfort in them.They have and always will be part of me. My love for them never fades away. So hearing them sing again after 4+ years and knowing how much they've gone through these past years makes me feel very emotional but also grateful to actually have them back. I truly believe that this song is for us, VIPs. Many people speculate that this is their last song (and yes it sounds like that) but I see it more like a goodbye to their old/younger selves and 5-membered Bigbang. Hearing BIGBANG is coming back made me happy. They were the very first group I was introduced to before 2NE1. The lyrics to this song made me cry, but it was wonderful to hear their voices. They will always be number 1 in my heart. At first I felt like this was their goodbye song to us, but now I don’t know how to explain it but I feel different in a good way. No matter where life takes them we will always be here cheering them on. Their music has helped many of us through good and bad days.

T.O.P. does have his own music but with that being said he’s not in YG Entertainment anymore but will still be with BigBang. I may not be a V.I.P but Bigbang is a name you naturally come to know if you're into K-Pop. BigBang has always been a legendary group. The impact they've made in kpop shall always stay with us. They are unique and unparalleled. It wasn't just VIPs who were waiting for them, all of kpop was.
And why these comeback is so emotional? Last time when we saw them they were at the top, Big Bang = power, kings of kpop, that group, top senior group. I think one word that can describe this is bittersweet. So it is natural if this is making you sad. For most long time VIPs, we've seen this group go through everything and grow with them too. The MV and lyrics is like a camera roll of memories we have with BIGBANG while at the same time leading us to a new chapter of their lives. This is like an Ode to our Youths. Each of them has a story to tell on their parts but for me, TOP's part is so emotional, symbolic, and just a cathartic release. The way he removed his mask after the lines and while singing "For Life" is like him showing the k-media platforms who censored his face with towers for so long that he is back and he doesnt need to hide his face anymore. For years, people has condemned him for the past issues and even used his good looks as a weapon to attack him to the point he needs to hide his face all the time. Yo! Honestly, you can still go back and watch all their old MV's and it will still hit. If you slowly go through all of the TVs (like try to do it by the release dates and watch their musical style progress) then you'd get this video. I mean even add in their solos stuff. It's crazy bc BigBang has such a sound that you'd think their solos stuff would be missing something bc the whole group isn't there but it's still fire. BigBANG is the idol of idols... especially BTS!! BTS was coming up when BigBang was at their height and they were fanboying over them. All I can say was that I went to their first US Concert ever in NY and I don't regret dropping all that cash on it. 🤣 Worth every penny, and I don't even live in NY. This song hit my in the feels in some kinda way.
U know im vip from 2008, i were there when all scandals happen, when harsh times and words were put on BigBang. When Seungri fall, when lots of vips just quit fandom and boys. When everyone were saying that big bang is over, they never comeback, that all their work was not worthy anymore. It really breaks my heart, but i never stop being vip. No matter what. From my pov, this video is supposed to make you feel nostalgic about what is gone and will never return, but understanding that's how life is, and even is something, someone is no longer there that does not mean you will be forever unhappy, life is change and we grow up as human beings and continue to grow up till the last day. Also, every member represent a season consonant with a experience, for example: Taeyang is spring and in this moment he is a new parent so life is blooming in him, TOP (and this is a parte that reaaaaally gets me) is winter 'cause he is introspective, after a good time lost with t scandals, after looking within' himself and finding kinda a meaning he is ready to keep going, keeop changing. Also, I've been following big bang since 13-14yo, now I'm 27 and it`s satisfying see people mature (even if GD told he has not) so understanding the meaning even if this is a 'last dance' that will keep us nostalgic for a good while, we can see back and say "I've evolved". Kings of kpop are back. Geniuses and we have another masterpiece full of storytelling and symbolism. The flowers in the boat are yellow ( colour of the fanbase, GD invented the lightstick:) Taeyang has a lamb on the boat, the lamb of god ( he got married and became a dad) 4 chairs are the members ( of which one is chipped) directors chair is GDs being the leader of bb (it has his name on it). Top is on the moon this could relate to a legend about a rabbit who sacrificed himself but who lives on the moon secluded from everyone. He went through a hard time tbh. I've been a VIP for 13 years and they made me a sobbing mess in just 2/3 minutes. I grew with them from a kid to an adult. They got me into kpop and I listened to them at my ups and downs. When and if they make a reunion song in the future you would be able to relate so do not worry that you can't relate. I would never forget the first time I saw and listened to bigbang's haru haru way back in 2008. They got me into kpop. They were introduced to me with a sad song and now they've comeback with a beautiful bittersweet song. The korean name of the song is Spring Summer Fall Winter, with each members representing a season (Spring - Taeyang, Summer - GD, Fall - Daesung, Winter - TOP). The flowers surrounding Taeyang represents Spring and also VIPs (fans) because our light stick look like a field of yellow flowers when viewed from above (like the background in GD's scene). This may or may not be a callback to the song Flower Road (released in 2018, the start of their military hiatus) where they said "Lets meet again when the flowers bloom"

The song and the Mv for me really shows that this is their last stand as "Big bang" such as how each member was never shot together
Their last song before this was flower road which mentioned alot that they'll be coming back in spring which is now. But i think what it truly meant was to show that their gonna go down this flower road because it's the end of their season and it's spring, the time of theirs is no longer said by the seasons so they've moved on.

I've been a VIP for 14 years and seriously when I got home from work that morning and pulled up the MV, I paused it at the start and hesitated. I was so anxious to start what I feared may be the end of the group I had grown up with. Watching the first time, I felt really emotional but when TOP turned around to look at us, I burst into tears and sobbed the rest of the MV and for 20 minutes after. I had thought TOP would not show his face during the MV, but I was so thankful he looked at us. I rewatched it so many times since then and re-read the lyrics over and over again. It's not a goodbye to VIPs, but a goodbye to their painful past and a greeting of a happier future. Before the hiatus, they asked us in their song "Flower Road" to wait for them, and VIPs promised to wait. A lot went down and there was a lot of hate thrown at the group in general, but VIPs stood strong against it all and waited patiently. "Still Life" is them keeping their promise to meet us on the flower road. Growing up with them, I've always felt like they were distant older brothers and they gave me a lot of strength when I struggled through my adolescence. I've spent more than half of my life as a VIP, and I will be a VIP until the day I die. They mean so much to me, and no matter what path they choose to walk down I will pray with all of my heart for their happiness.
You may have not known them as long as some of the older VIPs, but it's never too late to know them and see their journey. You can always check out their older discography (I'm talking all of the classics like "Heaven", "Tonight", "We Belong Together", "Lies", "Only Look At Me", "Last Farewell", "Love Song", etc.); and I also suggest live stages or concerts you can find on TH-cam because GUYS!!!! I've been a bigbang fan since 2009 and they honestly are home to me. Their music has been such an escape for me and you know in the past years waiting for them was not easy especially when you see them being crucified for so many things. This songs feels like goodbye but Bigbang will always be Bigbang, no matter what.
I dont know how bigbang does it. Their songs make you feel nostalgic. Its like they are a part of your childhood even if they werent. The feeling doubles for those who actually did support them since they were kids. Seen them struggle and stand back up after every scandal. And they had plenty.
I love that they decided that their first comeback after all this time is a ballad because while they could have come back with a banger club hit, they are older and mature and have gone through so much since their last comeback. They grew up a lot, whether they wanted to or not and I think Still Life is a good representation of where they are at currently.

I actually didn't feel like this would be a Goodbye song but more of like them saying goodbye to their past traumas and starting a new life just like what TOP said in his part. i also thought that TOP would keep his mask on the whole video that's why when he removed it and look at the camera I may have just died there. God, this was so so sad. Bigbang are so epic, that they started a lot of the trends you see today. Multiple rappers in a group, that was started by bigbang. Multi coloured hair, bigbang. Lightsticks, bigbang. U see a lot of the new fandoms disrespecting bigbang because they simply haven’t experienced them. Fact is a lot of todays artists developed what these guys started. This comeback was nostalgic. We waited so long for a comeback and got what feels like a goodbye. Thank you and really appreciate your reaction. I've been listening to Bigbang since 2012, got introduced with the hyped "Fantastic Baby". As I discover more of their songs, the one that stuck to me the most, (shit, I remember like it was just yesterday) listening to "Blue" in freezing cold winter, but it made me soo sad and gloomy despite not knowing any of their lyrics. It intrigued me so much I had to search up the meanings. Then, I realised there's so many nuances in Hangul that direct translation didn't do any justice (that's why I really appreciate ppl like you breaking it down like this). Then my journey continues with all their songs and even solo ones, like my personal fav GD's "A Boy". The lyrics of him talking/confronting his past self is genius and universal it makes you can relate yourself and even talk to your past.
"Still Life" reminded me of those feelings. I felt like Daesung threw me brick with "Goodbye now to my beloved young days" and GD's "Passed the seasons without maturing, and long gone without maturing" hits me like a truck. I've grown older, busy with more responsibilities everyday without realising time passed by (like Daesung watching the armless clock and his hairstyle changed) but at the same time, deep inside I'm still that clueless immature boy.
TOPs part is very interesting as I feel he's the only one who talks about future. "I leave towards amazon of inspiration(caption said leaving inspiration's amazon lol), wanna bury past traumas and angers, becoming good and better person". "For life~" part felt so deep, like he wanna to do all that, for the sake of life, being alive. And him being on the moon with a mask is very heartbreaking as it implies he don't wanna deal with this world anymore, especially after what he's been through. But he still show glimpse of him when he unmasked for us VIPs. Stay strong man, we love you.
Nice touch of GDs part with the ocean of yellow. "I keep remembering those days with radiance and love, longing those boys and girls that cried and laugh". Me too, I kept remembering those days and experience at live concerts and every of their releases that I followed. Bigbang and VIPs really feeding off each other, through thick and thins. And that really emphasised more on Taeyangs "through our hearts staining red and bruising blue".
"Still Life" is like the rain in GDs part. After the rain it gives us beautiful rainbow, but slanted like a sneer. We happy excited for this comeback, but mannn it made us sad and sentimental. Still life’ is the English tittle but in Korean the tittle is ‘spring,summer,fall,winter’ all together as one word. This song is a visual representation of what they’ve done/ been up to after the disbandment.
GD shows bits of his past solo career and modeling/ directing career. He’s also seen wearing old stage outfits( rocker fit).
Taeyang shows old stage outfits as well(feather jacket) and the flower filled boat has a double meaning of being surround by VIPs and his latest solo album.

Bigbang debuted In 2006 .the 5 member grp dropped their last full album in 2015 ,a global hit and that was 9 yrs into their career literally glorious days of kpop. one by one members started enlisting for mandatory military service. I am pretty sure they had vulnerable thoughts to stay away from art at their peak. while few where in military one of the members caught up in major sc@ndal leading to him leaving the grp and retirement frm the music industry and there is still no evidence to prove he his involved.this left a huge blacklash on bb as people started questioning their 10 yrs of trust and started boycotting ygbgs back in 2019. members were put in a difficult position cuz they coudn't respond as they were in military while everything's crumbling ryt b4 their eyes. I don't think bb is comfortable doing music as BIGBANG without one of the members probably the reason why there is not a single shot of them together. TOP recently said it in an interview that he is leaving YG and is starting anew and he has no plans of promoting in Korea(he was also scrutinized by k-nets which shows his anger and the lyrics). he said he'll be their wen bigbang needs him. From the mv i think they r trying to move on from the past and I can see they r really not happy as 4 but cherishes the band which put them in a difficult position . The future activities of bigbang is still a question mark but I think the members will stay with music and art and release them wen they r ready and wen they r comfortable. As fans it wasn't easy to hold back tears and watch the video but as GD says a happy end ,hopeful we are while moving on from the past sorrows .... bigbang's ability to convey emotions thru music is still solid even after 5 yrs of haitus.i just wrote down everything cuz I genuinely felt u guys wished to know

But to BigBang and this MV - I am a bit fed-up of always having to explain who is BB and what is their claim to KPop fame. There are Google and Wikipedia and so many other search engines. No diss but c'mon...
In a nutshell though, BigBang and particularly GD (GDragon's name comes from his actual name Kwon Jiyong. G for Jiyong and Kwon for Dragon) are respected for how they changed KPop with their debut album way back in 2006. Because of their love for Rap/Hip-Hop, they wrote and produced tracks with heavy emphasis on these two genres. They also began incorporating other genres such as R&B, Soul, EDM, rock, etc.
They stood out even more because the band they developed and worked with for "live" tours were all Black American who always speak highly of them; the band stated they were made to feel and be part of the process and not just considered a backing band (See soundbyte in the movie "MADE" on the evolution of BigBang).
Their lead dancer/choreographer is also a woman of colour, Parris Goebel, whose dance group has won the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships three times. You can see her in "Bang, Bang, Bang" MV and "live" performances, most notably MAMA 2015 awards. She has a close synch with GD.
Bottom line is that GD's and BigBang's connect and absorption of Black Music and creatives have strongly influenced their music.
Result are those brilliant albums, "Live" worldwide concert tours, gazillion awards (first Korean album to chart on Billboard, first MTV awards, first Korean artists on Forbes Celebrity 100 - first, first, first) ... so many international musical breakthroughs.

Daesung and Seungri and all of BigBang have many real estate investments and their own businesses.
This MV throws back to their career, reusing images and visuals from past MVs (TOP in astronaut suit seen in "Bang, Bang, Bang" MV etc.)
Most VIPs are realising that this is a subtle goodbye unless it is a hint (the four empty chairs and one chair with someone sitting in a scene behind Daesung which could be a reference to Seungri) that they are waiting for Seungri to drop it hard and shake up KPop again.

I was fortunate enough to see them live in concert in 2012 during their Alive Tour. I remember my sister and I saved up our money and almost missed out because the website crashed. Lol. Bigbang is the group that introduced me to kpop. I was 12 years old and now I'm turning 21 this year. So hearing them sing again after 4+ years and knowing how much they've gone through these past years makes me feel very emotional but also grateful to actually have them back. Many people speculate that this is their last song (and yes it sounds like that) but I see it more like a goodbye to their old/younger selves and 5-membered Bigbang. Hearing BIGBANG is coming back made me happy. They were the very first group I was introduced to before 2NE1. The lyrics to this song made me cry, but it was wonderful to hear their voices. Been a VIP since 2012 reason why i became a KPOP fan. they also have a group hiatus back in 2012 but they were busy with their own solo's and then they came back with the ALBUM called MADE in 2015 but this one is different last timenwe saw them together was back in 2017 ,2018 was the last song they release as a gift to their fans called Flower Road before going to military .After all the dramas/allegations or scandal im glad they are back they keep their promise . Im crying and still a mess. Bigbang Forever the Kings of KPOP. Pioneers started the revolution .reason KPOP is the way it is . Your idol's favorite .
I may not be a V.I.P but Bigbang is a name you naturally come to know if you're into K-Pop. BigBang has always been a legendary group. The impact they've made in kpop shall always stay with us. They are unique and unparalleled. It wasn't just VIPs who were waiting for them, all of kpop was.
And why these comeback is so emotional? Last time when we saw them they were at the top, Big Bang = power, kings of kpop, that group, top senior group.
And now everything change, on media, some fans, random people etc. Only vips still sees them the same as they were.
Its like lost contact to your best friend for few years and then meet again on street. Its hard.
Taeyang's singing gave me goosebumps all over again. This group is what got me into kpop along with 2NE1 this month is an emotional roller coaster with BigBang comeback and then CL stage at Coachella with her girl's from 2NE1 ong idk man I hope it's not a good bye but a see you later with our solo projects.
Been with these talented men since their debut era. All the ups and down... This comeback (is this really a comeback or a goodbye? ) indeed is sooo emotional for all the VIPs. Bigbang said they'd come back when the flowers bloom. That's what the flowers are. And they're yellow for their lightstick (fun fact - the first KPop lightstick. People used balloons and generic glowsticks before.)

I think one word that can describe this is bittersweet. So it is natural if this is making you sad. For most long time VIPs, we've seen this group go through everything and grow with them too. The MV and lyrics is like a camera roll of memories we have with BIGBANG while at the same time leading us to a new chapter of their lives. This is like an Ode to our Youths.
Each of them has a story to tell on their parts but for me, TOP's part is so emotional, symbolic, and just a cathartic release. The way he removed his mask after the lines and while singing "For Life" is like him showing the k-media platforms who censored his face with towers for so long that he is back and he doesnt need to hide his face anymore. For years, people has condemned him for the past issues and even used his good looks as a weapon to attack him to the point he needs to hide his face all the time. He is better and he is choosing life, to live it freely and with happiness. 💛

Yo! Honestly, you can still go back and watch all their old MV's and it will still hit. If you slowly go through all of the TVs (like try to do it by the release dates and watch their musical style progress) then you'd get this video. I mean even add in their solos stuff. It's crazy bc BigBang has such a sound that you'd think their solos stuff would be missing something bc the whole group isn't there but it's still fire. BigBANG is the idol of idols... especially BTS!! BTS was coming up when BigBang was at their height and they were fanboying over them. All I can say was that I went to their first US Concert ever in NY and I don't regret dropping all that cash on it. 🤣 Worth every penny, and I don't even live in NY. This song hit my in the feels in some kinda way.
U know im vip from 2008, i were there when all scandals happen, when harsh times and words were put on BigBang. When Seungri fall, when lots of vips just quit fandom and boys. When everyone were saying that big bang is over, they never comeback, that all their work was not worthy anymore. It really breaks my heart, but i never stop being vip. No matter what. This comeback is bitter sweat. They back, but not in that glory that they should. Shit happend and we cant pretend either that these 4 years were nice or easy. But in the same time its so good to see them again, making music, coming for us, fans. But its really breaks heart.
Y’all were right to feel sad and happy. Honestly it’s my 3rd time watching the MV and I’m still crying every time. I first listened to them when “Lollipop” by Big Bang and 2NE1 came out in 2010 so it’s been 12 years wow! It’s emotional for a number of reasons and to me this really is a goodbye song. It’s like a final gift almost to VIP. They’ve gone through so much as a group and individually so it’s just that much more emotional to know that this might be the last song we hear from them (as we are not sure if they’ll come out with music in the future)

From my pov, this video is supposed to make you feel nostalgic about what is gone and will never return, but understanding that's how life is, and even is something, someone is no longer there that does not mean you will be forever unhappy, life is change and we grow up as human beings and continue to grow up till the last day. Also, every member represent a season consonant with a experience, for example: Taeyang is spring and in this moment he is a new parent so life is blooming in him, TOP (and this is a parte that reaaaaally gets me) is winter 'cause he is introspective, after a good time lost with t scandals, after looking within' himself and finding kinda a meaning he is ready to keep going, keeop changing. Also, I've been following big bang since 13-14yo, now I'm 27 and it`s satisfying see people mature (even if GD told he has not) so understanding the meaning even if this is a 'last dance' that will keep us nostalgic for a good while, we can see back and say "I've evolved". Btw, sorry if my English is not that great.

Big Bang is saying goodbye to the young Big Bang and changing into the adult Big Bang. As a VIP, I am sad that the Big Bang I knew is gone, but happy that they came back to our flower road. Those flowers in Taeyang's boat represent us VIP. Big Bang's fans.

Kings of kpop are back. Geniuses and we have another masterpiece full of storytelling and symbolism. The flowers in the boat are yellow ( colour of the fanbase, GD invented the lightstick:) Taeyang has a lamb on the boat, the lamb of god ( he got married and became a dad) 4 chairs are the members ( of which one is chipped) directors chair is GDs being the leader of bb (it has his name on it). Top is on the moon this could relate to a legend about a rabbit who sacrificed himself but who lives on the moon secluded from everyone. He went through a hard time tbh.
GD is holding an umbrella which is a symbol of hope and sits in front of yellow lights ( the lightssticks) during a concert. There is alot more but i don't see it as a goodbye song. More a goodbye to youth and a hello to the future.
Personally i don't think they will disband. Top left the agency but not the band and 3 others have just renewed their contracts.
To me I grew up with these men, through the ups and down that I have gone through and what they have gone through…we both become adults, and sometimes it’s not the prettiest. We have member gone and also TOP left YG for being treated like shit most of his career. It’s bittersweet to see the boys and we’re hear through the pain with them. They will always be a part of me.
