tempus Congratulations! You totally got picked in the drawing. Would you like the extra copy of PoF4? If so please e-mail me where you would like it mailed at elizabeth.estervig@gmail.com
I still haven’t bit the bullet on POF5. I really want it but wish there was a stateside distributor. Patternmaking for Fashion Design is my favorite reference by far. Thanks for the video, still love your excellent helper!
Love William - it IS a good thing he's so cute! But he gave me a good, much-needed giggle several times. Wow, I'm so impressed you replace your POFs! I was able to check out 4 from my library and was so sad it had to be returned. I just want to keep looking at it again and reference it but now our library is temp closed. Would love your spare copy.
Thanks for sharing! I love that you have some general patterning book recommendations in here as well as historical pattern books. I’d love to be part of the drawing!
Wow, thank you for showing those books. I've heard about them but never seen them. I'd love to read about the history of garments. Perhaps one day I'll make a garment for myself. I love your cat btw. :)
My sisters cats also love to help me cut out patterns lol. Id love to be added to your drawing, my library only has PoF2 and its always checked out. :( Edit: You're the only other person who I've watched who actually owns Patternmaking for Fashion Design, I love that book!
If you’re interested in tailoring (getting things to fit) I have some ideas of going over my teaching materials and talk through fitting trousers and coats
What I really lack is shaping techniques and such. I feel like with fitting issues I know enough to google what I want to know, but with construction, fabrics and shaping the knowledge hole is big enough to require some structure as a base if you get what I mean :)
@@TanyaItkin absolutely! Knowing how to shape the guts of a suit as well as how to mould and shape the wool are a big part of tailoring too. I've got some content planned on suit textiles as well as general textiles and identification beyond the usual burn test. Hopefully that'll be helpful too.
this is a wonderful idea and your cat is adorable! your commentary is a little hard to understand. I have my speaker turned up all the way on my laptop and you are speaking very softly. I would love to have book 4 can you tell me what time period it is for ? I have two of these already have to look and see which ones
Sorry for the low audio-I don’t hear well so it is hard for me to judge what is loud enough to be heard, but quiet enough not to annoy my neighbors. I did go through and edit the CC though so they should be pretty well in order.
Haha, my cats join me as well and "help" me with laying out patterns. I cannot hear you at all with the volume all the way up, please add me to the giveaway. Thank you.
Sorry about the low audio-I should probably switch to open captions rather than Closed Captions. I don’t hear well and it is hard for me to tell what is loud enough to hear, but low enough not to annoy my neighbors.
Great video! Both the sneak peek of the books but also the accidental kitty!
He is so very dramatic 😂🐈⬛
Great job! Love the book reviews!
Good information, thank you for sharing!
Your cat is flippin adorable! 😊
Thank you! He certainly knows it! 😂

I love that you named your cat William Shakespeare. ^_^ He's adorable.
Thanks! My mom started the tradition of naming cats after authors, so I copied her.
Thank you so very much for sharing💞
Love from Sweden🌷

I didn't know about these books before - now they are on my "want" list. I enjoyed the video and have bookmarked it to watch again.

Great series of books! I have 1, 2 and 5 and they're such good resources :)
Thanks now I'm about to buy them all 😁

Love your "helper" and love those books!
He loves the attention! 😻

He will absolutely enjoy all the flattery. 🐈⬛😻

They are really good books, and so much more affordable now that they are in print again.
Also: awwww kitties
Snap! I have just got my copy in front of me!
I have patterns of fashion 2 and 3 but I’d love to add to my collection.
Kitty! :3
Thank you, this was very informative. Any recommendations on tailoring resources?
Actually I’ve got way more for tailoring (as in drafts and techniques for suit making) so I’m working on that pile of books.
Something to look forward too then ^_^

never mind I just got to that portion of the video. I do not have book 4 : )

Can’t hardly hear you turn it up a little bit. Love these books

@@ElizabethEstervig It's no worries, I just wanted to let you know. :)
Maybe try speaking into the mic? Even at full volume you are barely audible.
I have gotten a new mic since this video
