Totally awesome... the Ethnic ItaloDisco. The new Moon Deep Ray Forest is born ! A great thanks for you because you have no limit and it's a chance for you but also for us, because you made us discover tips, musics and you grow up our creativity !!! Thanks a lot Espen !
Enigma sounding :) I so love that i can hear such great synths still. Beautiful gear! Lovely insight and talent to show off vintage kit doing its thing.
Funny moment: I was YouTubing for Tangerine Dream synth and this video came up. I was like.. Hmm, this video reminds me a lot of Espen Kraft. Didn't notice it was actually Espen until the end when I scrolled down for comments. I learned a lot by how you create layers from watching this video. Thanks Espen.
These first chords are enough for me to click thumbs up to this video! Simple but very nice. Bravo, Espen! Thanks for sharing such a beautiful content! You always rocks and makes my day/evening/night/morning =) P.S. Im really wish good luck your artists from Norway on Eurovision which I hear just right now on TV! More than this - I gave them my voice =) Very cool song and performance! P.S.S. Ooh, that Korg Mono/Poly on the background...I hope someday you will made something beautiful with it too =)
Hey there, it's the first time i hear ethnic influences in your music..it also gives me a Deep Forest vibe, as Gemlya wrote above...Very nice track, hookin' chord progression, but what i like most, is this synth bass, this 80's solid, tight, wonderful Italo bass, that has been the staple of your music..Well Done my friend...!!!
Thanks Patrick! I've done much like this through the years, but always form other clients and for theater and musicals. It's time I did more of this in this genre too.
After few seconds you've taken me back to Dance 2 Trance 1990s atmopheres. It's a mix between "Warrior" and "Power of American Natives", two mainstream tracks back in those days.
I love that this video was about how to achieve an effect or atmosphere, and not just hyping a piece of gear. It was a good listen, as well. Thumbs up. P.S. - MIDI sync on iOS leaves much to be desired. I like how you can just chain thru on your vintage gear.
Superb I can picture the native American Indians dancing, spreading their ancient wisdom before the land was invaded and beliefs lay shattered on the ground.
Always enjoy watching you work,Mr K.I noticed over the last year or so that sometimes you have a look that says 'if only i had another arm'.don't worry mate, what you do works just fine.I was a teen in the 80s and love all the retro synth stuff that going on.
Very nice Espen I noticed the same sample sound Christopher Franke used on his Klemania 1993 library album and a sound Tangerine Dream used on Optical Race 1988 track Midnight Trail. 🙂👍👌
Very Tangerine dream Espin. My brothers band had a TOM then they got a HR16 which which I loved at the time and I got one a bit later. Anyway they used the TOM as a sequencer with a DX9 for bass and bells. All the best. 🎹👍
Loving those tribal sounds on the Emax. And this is a great track in general! I think I've heard those tribal sounds before on some Prince songs. Great stuff :).
so cool!! i've been into EMAX samples myself lately so it's nice to see you use the same congos and guitars.. :D also, nice labels/overlays, very helpful! because usually i have to squint to make out what synths are beeing used on stage, but not with your videos, they're honest like that!
Great music, video and equipment, as always, Espen! But, one thing I just couldnt not notice, and thats the position of those studio monitors... There are some columns right in front of their membrane and they must effect their sound somehow...
Thanks! The column only block the woofers and the lower frequencies still find their way to my ears. I don't monitor loud either so no problems here ;-)
That alpha-Juno pad...! I swear you are single-handedly responsible for the sharp rise in alpha-Juno prices over the last few years!!! :-) This track reminded me a bit of Secret Service's 'Destiny of Love'. That was great.
A little bit of Deep Forest, a little bit of Sacred Spirit and a lot of you!! I love it! :)
that was so pro man, so amazing when a whole room is synced!
Nice, thanks! :)

Thanks again for your comment Xavier, I just make whatever I feel like and it's fun to inspire others by doing so. :)
Great stuff Espen. Enjoyed the live performance. Thank you.
Awesome, thanks! :)
Great. Some live drums would elevate the hell out of this . This is a nice birthday present Espen. Thank you.
My pleasure man! :)
Just awesome
Thanks! :)
Man, that Roland bass really is killer.
Your skill at using your tools and the overall musicality of it is inspiring.
Thanks for saying! :)
Nice tune and good mix too.
Sweet, thanks! :)
Once again brilliant, Espen! And I love that you played it live. You never cease to amaze me my Norwegian keyboard guru.
Thanks Raymond! I appreciate you saying! :)

Many thanx, mate. You always deliver a great performance! As Italian, I really appreciate your "vintage" music :)
Thanks for saying! :)
It's very nice music frome the 80 !! Thanks for good job!!!
Thanks! :)

Heh, was just looking for music in this genre and your video popped up. I'm already a subscriber, how'd I miss this one! :)

Thanks again Vladimir, we did well among the peoples vote yesterday! ;-)
I have more than one video on my channel where I use the MonoPoly! :)
Oh, then I just should to looking for it more carefully)) I saw the Mono/Poly as a bass-synth, but I mean it`s lead role in the track =))

Very nicely done! I like this a lot, thank you for sharing.
My pleasure, thanks for commenting! :)
Great sound. Changing the bass while holding the chords changes the musical context brilliantly, it's a "trick" used to great effect here.
Thanks for noticing! I use this quite a lot, it creates more impact once the bass starts to travel. :)
@@EspenKraft Likewise, changing the chords through a sequence while holding the bass steady has an equally nice effect, also well-demonstrated here.
Absolutely amazing performance and nice track :) it looks so easy when you do this, but it surely isnt!
Thanks! :)
Great track! And I love how this video was put together!! From b/w to pedal clips and all!!
Sweet! :)
Love that sarangi string patch, used in countless tracks around the world. The last time i've used it was in 2006
Yeah, it's a "stock" sound, but it just fitted this track perfectly so I didn't bother making up something original.
Hypnotic!

MIDI clock at it’s very best! Splendid track. Making it all work live can be quite the endevour. But you make it seem so effortless 😎
Thanks man! :)
Superb

Awesome. Arpeggiators are the gateway to fun ;)
They are! Thanks! :)

A working tail should suffice, can't say it's evolution to lose that tail.. ;- Thanks! :)
Great track
Thanks! :)
Just found this, awesome work Espen. Great mix of earthy spiritual with synthey pop twist.
Thanks Thomas! :D
Love it awesome stuff as usual Espen!
Thanks Johnny! I appreciate your continued support! :)
How awesome was THAT??!!! Loved itttttttttttt!
Sweet man, thanks! :)
Gratulerer med dagen!
Takker, det samme! :)
Great song Espen! Well put together!
Many thanks man! :)
Those metallic tone colours sound strongly like Tangerine Dream sounded in the Eighties. A wonderful tune.
Sweet, thanks! :)
Very nice Espen I noticed the same sample sound Christopher Franke used on his Klemania 1993 library album and a sound Tangerine Dream used on Optical Race 1988 track Midnight Trail. 🙂👍👌
Many thanks Caleb!
Espen playing pads. Insta-thumbs-up! Labels overlayed is a nice touch.
Sweet, thanks! :)
The floating labels were cool. You get to hear the result right off in the video, and can see what and how if that interests you.
Well done. Love it. Nice equipment also. Lots of synths. 😍
Thanks! :)
This is one of your best videos, God bless
Thanks!
Highly satisfying to watch and hear.
Sweet, thanks! :)
Very Tangerine dream Espin. My brothers band had a TOM then they got a HR16 which which I loved at the time and I got one a bit later. Anyway they used the TOM as a sequencer with a DX9 for bass and bells. All the best. 🎹👍
Thanks! Yeah, the TOM can easily be used as a sequencer due to it's excellent midi capabilities.
wow awesome - and nice to share the infos towards the end on what you used as gimmicks and lil helpers :)
Thanks! I often do that. ;-)
Thanks for this birthday present! I love it :-))).
Excellent, congrats on your day! :)
Very beautiful track. 👍👍👍
Thanks! :)
Yeah, very nice. :)
Great job! As usual! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks again!:)
Brilliant!
Awesome, thanks! :)
Reminds me a lot of all those amazing 80s 'new age' artists on Narada Equinox and Private Music labels. Would *LOVE* and entire album of this style.
I'd like to make more in this style so maybe... ;-)
Just Love The Sounds In This Well Done

Great Track!!
Thanks! :)
OOPS! A BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE !!
Thanks! :)
Loving those tribal sounds on the Emax. And this is a great track in general!
I think I've heard those tribal sounds before on some Prince songs. Great stuff :).
Thanks Xavier! Those sounds are heard before yes, they're "stock" Emax, but they sounded just right for this track as well :)
@@EspenKraft Proteus 3 has them all ;)
@@50Martinmarkus The Proteuses were great in their time and they still hold up for many types of sounds from the EMU libraries.
Love it, great sounding track.
Thanks! :)
fabulous!!!!
Thanks! 😃
Un superbe travail !

Perfect soundtrack to a quiet, rainy afternoon in the suburbs. Quiet Zen-like. :)
Nice, thanks! :)
I'm listening the track in the suburbs and at the moment it is raining. 😊

Takker så mye! :)
i remember this type of music in older films, about '79 - '89
Nice touch wearing the Cleveland cap.
I'm not sure how many pick up on that.. you definitely did! ;-)
I noticed that too! Lol
Nice music
Thanks! :)
Jan Hammer vide or some Italo disco... So great… keep up the good work Espen. Riktigt bra!
Thanks, man! :)
Freaking Brilliant!!!
Awesome, thanks! :)

Great stuff! you make it seem so easy, but getting the ideas for build up is the hard part i think.
Thanks! This was actually quite fast. It all came together in a couple of hours. ;-)
nice dear Espen. Would love to have no 4/4 drumkit// i would love this in more new age/ambient version.. although very nice and deep
I have no other version available. Cheers
