    This is the sweetspot for all the trims. Probably my next car.

    Just reserved my EX-L with BSI in Canyon River Blue....can't WAIT for it to arrive. Just wish I could get premium audio in it - don't want the bigger wheels. It's scheduled to begin production 8/14-8/18. Trying to be patient - it's such a great car!

      Congratulations ! The 180 watt 8 speaker system is not bad in the Exl. You’ll love it.

    I have an EX-L and never regretted my choice. It got 50-51 mpg during the warm summer months. Sport options are more cosmetic but I'd rather have the model with highest mpg.

    Nice video! I Ended up buying a Touring, the 19 in wheels and extra features won me over. Although I must say the EX-L would’ve been my second choice and I think most people are going to go with that trim level. It’s disappointing the sport L trim does not come with rear air vents or rear usb charging. If it did I definitely would’ve gone with that trim. I must say for a Touring, not having homelink as standard is my biggest issue with it. But otherwise it’s an amazing car 👌

      Congratulations ! If I were to get one the Touring is a no brainer. The tech is top notch for an accord

      I actually would rather the smaller wheels so I can get better mileage, but the ventilated seats and the upgraded stereo is pushing me to the Touring.

    From a daily commuter perspective, can Honda Accord hybrid start from pure EV mode like other's plug-in hybrids? This capability, even if it is briefly, will be enormous in frequent stop & go traffic.
    I understand Honda hybrid works completely differently from hybrids from other manufacturers.

      It usually starts in pure Ev unless the battery is low

    I would just buy the exl and add the spoiler and sport wheels.

    I would think white wouldn't be the most highly requested color, seeing as how it almost makes it look like a rental car or someone that drives Uber... The pearl sparkle definitely makes it look nicer, but still a dull color to me. This car looks great in darker colors, but that's just me.

      I’ve been selling Hondas for 7 years now. Here in New Mexico everyone wants White or Gray. Mostly white though with a light interior

      @@ShakeemAndCars Oh, I'm not doubting the stats, just seems odd is all. To each their own... I'm STILL waiting on my Sport-L with Blind Spot Monitoring and the build date keeps getting pushed back unfortunately. How popular is Urban Gray Pearl? I've seen a TON of Touring trims in California that don't have Blind Spot Monitoring and they are just sitting on the lots. Have you noticed it's harder to sell vehicles without the BSI or don't people care? Thanks for all the videos, you have kept my excitement going while I'm waiting for mine to be built.

      Demand is so high here. People are being less picky about having no blind spot since it’ll take longer to get one with it. Especially if you need a car asap. Ive had some customers that can’t live without that feature and didn’t mind waiting

      @@ShakeemAndCarswould not buy a car without blind spot. It is such a useful feature and about 550 less in cost is not worth losing that feature for. Plus I’m so glad Honda is doing BS and sunroof on basically all cars except the base.I love the sport L the most. Touring has too much chrome.

    Be warned: Honda Hybrids are not equipped with a spare tire, not even a donut spare. This lack of a spare can have disasterous results. I had a 2009 CTS that did not have a spare tire, just a tire inflator that was useless. I spent an entire day by the side of the road and had to spend $3,000 repairing the transmission when the tow truck damaged the transmission.

    The previous generation accord exl had blind spot, so why is Honda no longer making that standard? They're skimping out on features more and more. Not right!

    • @ShakeemAndCars
      @ShakeemAndCars  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There’s a chip shortage. They can’t make that feature standard if they don’t have them

    • @truthistruth615
      @truthistruth615 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @ShakeemWalkaround . I think the real reason is that they want consumers to pay more for that feature, which is why you have to opt for a touring to get that as standard.

    • @kenyanewman5888
      @kenyanewman5888 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honda isn’t the only brand that has had this problem. It’s because of the chip shortage.

      For the 2024 model year, I think Honda now has enough supply to make the Blind Spot Monitor standard again on the EX and above. It no longer appears as an option on the Build function of the web site but the cars have it.
