Went to bed and watched this in my P j's last night Cliff, thanks for the hike, I fell right to sleep after. I wonder if folks living in Reading may of had a cottage or small Vacation home there in the woods for summer relief from city heat thus the ruins? Don't know much about what the area looked like B 4 Agnes hit PA so hard they came up with this idea of a dam and lake. Moved to Berks County Nov. 1972. I do remember reading about the moving of the Gruber Wagon Works. BTW, wrong turns----We were out looking at homes to buy in 1976. We turned down a road in Exeter just to turn around and there down a bit was a new home for sale. bought it and stayed 34 years. Been in this one 1 mile away for 12, love Berks county and Exeter.
Great hike. sometimes wrong turns can become an adventurous mistake. no worries. plzz show both sides of the creeks when you cross bridges. the running water is so nice!

I really enjoy the abandonment. But I don't understand the loss of towns. Why they shut down all the farms. I just watched a video on TH-cam of abanded cemetery in Pennsylvania Where legendary John Barrymore was buried does. Drew Barrymore father. absolutely covered up. I don't understand all the leglect. But one of my favorite videos of yours is the abandoned town that you were walking up a highways and byways Of this ghost town that no longer exists and you are pointing out buildings that used to be there that was very interesting. That was the Spring I watched that of you.
But it is a tad creepy Knowing there used to be Farms and houses that no longer exist I don't understand that. America is nothing without the farmers. Anyways thank you for the video share.
November 14th and you're not wearing any fluorescent orange? All around the lake is open to hunting. Orange is required on State Game lands where you started out.
Incorrect. From Nov. 15th thru Dec. 15th anyone on stage game lands must wear orange. Other than that its your own choice. Unless your hunting, which I'm not.
