On PS5 I can't transfer maps or ascend the island without my character getting deleted. I've even had my whole world get deleted 3 times and lost everything.
I'm barely finishing my first week in Ark and I'm in LF Tribe so I can hopefully join a fun group. I have a great server already with lots of comms, but I want to verbally chat and socialize while playing with folks directing me/helping me. Sounds like a lot of fun with these 10 maps / 10 Servers! =]
So 3x depends on performance. They don't seem to give a damn about performance. The freezing and rubberbanding is still a major issue. I guess the performance issue needs to have a paid DLC fix for them to focus on it.
I remember the good old x12 breeding and maturation and x3 harvesting events on legacy ase, we’d hoard fridges full of 0.1% cooked eggs and fill a side tribe with gigs brontos and turtles. The game noticeably ran worse during those but they were fun nonetheless lmao
They addressed that very early on and said they're not doing queues because it's too easy for PC players to exploit it and lock everyone out of a server
Listen man, I’m on Xbox, and I crash Every 30 minutes/or so. Seriously, Xbox Series S and I crash Every 30 minutes, so just imagine how I have to do things and time things according to the last time I crashed. It’s almost unplayable PERIOD

unlimited players in a tribe vs 6 players in a tribe, arcpoc isn't very popular and wiped periodically, smalls has nothing but problems and is generally a nightmare to play spend 3 to 4 hours a day getting kicked and relogging, there is a big difference, as I main on smalls and play 12+hrs a day, it's a literal nightmare and exhausts a person, when weekend rates go up frames are almost unbearable

As a dayz player I agree, their servers fucking suck. Ran a dayz server for ages, sold it off due to the dragging of nutrados feet when my servers went down

I'm on xbox s and been play ark for months, Suddenly withing the past two weeks I've had to reinstall all my mods just to load up the game, and not remembering all of them is something that's happened several times. After starting over for the 3rd time in two weeks now mods just dont install. They get halfway done then it stops and tells me to download it again. Why arent mods allowed on xbox any more?
Oh no... They better not remove it it's the reason why I bought ASA in the first place because I saw how fun the game was with mods without the mods I just have a really really hard time getting up and going on single player, especially without the one Human NPC Mod that I love so much.

That’s understandable to an extent but they could def still give 3X as everything that isn’t resource farming. One thing for certain is the platform limit NEEDS to be changed as half the things you get with BTT are platform related and unuseable due to plat struct limit.
What i have noticed on single player ps5 is that the structure skins disappeared. Furniture and all is still there but the structure skins are nowhere to be found and on another map there is only the frontier but not the steampunk skin. Its nothing too serious but still sad when i am in a building flow.
In my opinion they should fix the game instead of releasing new maps. SE came out then we had a lot of problems still not fixed for PS5 maybe for pc,. and when AB came out bleuscreens too still not fixed for PS5 maybe for pc it is. Just want to say fix the game stop those mods its shitty for consoles. If you want to bring something out for crossplatform make sure it works.
UNPLAYABLE ON XBOX! Series S! I have honestly stopped playing, I no longer play in servers and when I do want to play I play single player but I crash every 10mins! I hardly ever download mods because idk if they cause it! I am not gonna fork out $500 (series s) or over $1,000 (gaming pc) to play on this game; I’m sticking to my series s. They need to fix their compatibility or take series s off the list of playable devices!
We’ve had several weekends that were x3 and even x4 but I understand ever since the summer event the boosted rates definitely messed with the performance but once the boosted rates ended the game was performing better
Genuinely why do they focus so much on dlcs and new drops when the base game is garbage. Not even garbage they just never seem to worry about preformance, the last preformance update legit did nothing

Yea but yet you got thousands of unofficial servers that are running 15x and 20x and it runs quite well, it just never makes since to me. Its getting to the point where official and unofficial have almost an equal amount of players but yet unofficial always run 100x better

If 3x is causing a performance issue I can guarantee you it isn't because of the game, it's the server having issues processing it and it's not like it isn't possible for a server to handle the issue is the servers they use is just too weak to process all of that information. In other words your can say their servers are fucking wack in terms of performance, this issue can easily be overcome with upgrades but they don't wan to do do that they want to run this game as cheap as possible so it makes financial sense between them and the company that host the servers for ark. I hope this helps anyone understand. There is another way around this and that would just come down to the ark devs coming up with a much more clever way to code the information so it's cheaper on server performance. The server has to save each time we complete a task so I'd imagine that'll be computationally taxing.
Ark ascended is still a unoptimized dumpster fire of a game. Even with a 3070 and a ryzen 7 (latest gen) and 32 g of ram the game still runs like shit. It unreal how a game theyve essentially been working on for almost 10 years is in such a shit state…. Ark ascended is a joke… ASE with tons of mods runs better than vanilla ark ascended and looks almost identical in quality what the hell was the point in buying ark ascended huge waste of money

i played ark survival evolved on x box series s earlier. then came ark survival acended then i played on x box series s, but the quality of the game was so bad so i got x box series x then the game was much better in terms of performance but it wasn't 100% good. I only play single player because I like to enjoy the game alone. so I decided to go back to ark survival evolved, then I thought I'll wait to play asa until the game is more finished and possibly wait until a more powerful console comes out that can run the game. I could have played on PC, but to be completely honest, I think playing on console is so much easier, it's just because you can start games when you want to, and there's not much more than that. is just something I think. i went back to ark survival evolved i play on x box series x. I just have to say with the upgrade they did on x box series x on ark survival evolved is really good I was surprised how much better it was on series x compared to series s so I stick to ark survival evolved until ark survival acended has got better.

But they had no problem tossing rates during extra life when money was involved… if they dont fix this issue soon they gonna have a huge issue with their player base.. the game is already boring at 1X so 2X feels the same especially when raising dinos. They should atleast cut the raising and breeding timers in half if we wont be seeing any rates above 2X

Weird I'm on series x and have only had a handful of crashes since release running multiple mods. Had some weird texture issues early on but they resolved those like 6 months ago. Sucks you seem to be having issues though that's rough. Have you tried disabling different mods to see if it's a mod?

No it shouldn't. That pos has dragged down this entire generation for xbox. If it's going to exist they need to uncouple it from the x completely. They won't do that though because so many people bought that little crap box. If I had realized how badly it was going to screw up games coming to the x I would have passed and went with a ps5. If Microsoft does this with the next gen consoles I'll be done with the Xbox completely
Yea kinda. But the X is not a great deal better. Tribe mates still have issues. Club Ark nearly did my machine in. It's really not the machine. Wildcard clearly do not check when they do fixes for all machines.
