I was recently severely reprimanded by the elders of the church where we were attending for teaching against false teachers and teachings including Bethel, Hillsong, & Elevation churches. I was stunned. My wife & I have left that church.

Exactly! Thank you Bro. Justin! I was one of those children baptized at eight years old and put faith and confidence in that baptism for 30 years. Raised in a SBC church and never once did anyone explain salvation or why a person needs to be saved! Please continue your hard work. People need to see and hear this. Not only Bethel but all so called churches that do not preach and teach the Truth! Thank you for the love you have for the souls of men! Love you and pray for you my Brother!

Like you, I was born / raised in an SBC church. In the 4th grade I went down front during the altar call at a citywide crusade in my town. I didn't know WHY I went down. And it was actually my pastor's wife that "counseled" me there. She never asked WHY I was there, or WHAT I believed I had done. Next thing I know my uncle is so happy about me being there that I just didn't ask any questions. He was so proud of me...for something?! Next thing I know after that I'm getting baptized at church. Once again, no questions, no counseling, nothing. It would be another 5 years before God was able to get me to see that I hadn't done anything, and I then surrendered my life to Christ.

Despite a lifetime in Southern Baptist church, involved in many varied ministry activities, I have come to realize that I was yet woefully pride-filled and wicked. I’m 61, and although I have always identified as a Christian, I hid my sins, embraced new age lies, and only experienced worldly grieving.
I had never truly admitted just how vile my sinful heart has always been, and just how much my wickedness has grieved our LORD until I began to consume your series and truly humble myself in His Word.
Because of your tough brotherly love, I have for the first time experienced conviction by the Holy Spirit. Although I in no way deserve it, I finally now understand the depth of sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for me. While many might now see me as broken - I have MS and given up worldly prosperity - I rejoice daily because His grace is sufficient, His mercies soften my old heart, and His Word feeds my soul.
Thank you, dear brother, and may God bless you and your ministry. Your boldness in Christ had helped me to hear my Master’s call and turn me from the wide path to destruction. Praise God!!!

I hated going to church, felt no conviction over disobeying my parents, over my rebellious heart, nothing. I am more grateful than I can say that the Lord is so long suffering and merciful to me.

Nobody told me or taught me about Baptism. As a brand new convert with a hunger for our Triune God I discovered it in the Bible. I began to research it and concluded that it was an act of obedience that cemented my relationship with Jesus. This baptism was the buriel of the old man. Praise God that arising from the water I was now alive in Christ. The Scriptures opened up. What an exciting and chastising journey I began. Parenting changed...marriage changed...and behold everything became new. Thank You Father for your love. Thank you Jesus for your love and obedience to Your Father and the undeserved gift of Salvation and thank You Holy Spirit for being ever present and always helpful every minute of the day. We were given a toy if we came up to the microphone and recited a verse (without understanding its meaning) and/or if we 'Asked Jesus into our heart', as it always goes. Obviously we didn't know what that was about either. That was our evangelical experience, and then we were simultaneously Roman Catholic, i you can fathom that - and we had both of those false systems bumping up against each other - all the while understanding basically none of it, whether good, bad or neutral.

I was raised under a ministry for 25 years that taught WOF, prosperity and new age teaching. I was being trained to become a pastor by the leadership who where close family friends to us. Some of these leaders were personal friends of people like Oral and Kenneth. One day the lights kicked on by the grace of God and I instantly felt like something was wrong. I started checking the Bible against all the teaching I was receiving and realized it was all being pulled out of context. Fast forward 3 years and I am still undoing the immense damage that was done. I basically had to follow the regimen they use for people coming out of a cult. Retraining everything you believe. I can assure you as well, it is very hard to talk someone out of leaving these places because to them your talking them away from God. I've found its subtle nudges of truth that eventually find their way in. For me it was the realization when someone showed me the passion translations horrible inaccuracies. My heart breaks for all these people and we cannot give up on them. Lord open their eyes to the truth that we share with them.

Yes, the testimony about being a warrior for animals is looney tunes and should have been corrected. The other testimony about getting closer to Jesus is something that I have heard numerous times in Baptist churches, Calvary chapels etc. There was nothing wrong with that. Not any doctrinal depth but again, these are new converts. Does Justin expect them to recite about baptism from the Westminster catechism? I also dispute his contention that all of these baptismal candidates aren't really saved. The animal warrior lady probably isn't but is he God who knows the secrets of the hearts of all these new converts? Peters is usually right on but this is not one of his better videos.

12 I fast twice a week, I pay tithes on my entire income

Heavene, but beat his breast and said,
Have mercy on me the sinner that I am!
14 I tell you, this man went down to his home right with God rather that the other
For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but everyone who humbles himself will be exalted
      John 4:23

As his parents we totally knew it was a real conversion. However the testimony he wrote was very brief and only mentioned that he loves Jesus and wants to follow him. So on the face of it he may have seemed to not understand but he really did. Our pastor talked to him before obviously to make sure he understood. SALVATION: To clarify the gospel of our salvation: Our gospel that saves us today is to believe that Jesus died on the cross, shedding His blood, was buried and rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins. I Cor 15:1-4. That's step one. Step two: We must put our trust in this gospel for the forgiveness of our sins and nothing else, to be saved. It's that simple. Jesus did the work necessary for our salvation. We cannot. Paul puts it this way: Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, True salvation only comes when we believe that Jesus is our ALL SUFFICENT SAVIOR. We cannot add anything to His blood shed and work of salvation on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We are not saved by repenting (turning from sin), being baptized in water, walking an aisle, saying a prayer, confessing with your mouth, being “born again”, or following Jesus’ earthly ministry. Those are mostly "works" salvation. We are saved by grace, not works (Rom 11:6), through faith alone, in Christ work on the cross. It is a gift 100%. Rom 3:24 KJV Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Titus 3:5-6, I Cor 15:1-4 Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. He came to save sinners, not people trying to make themselves righteous by doing some kind of good work, getting wet or turning from their sins, they cannot do totally anyway. Simply believe and put your trust in the new gospel Jesus gave to Paul for us today to be saved by. Then start reading Rom - Phil to understand what was written to us the body of Christ, so we could know what God wants from us and who we are in Christ, once we are saved. The books Paul wrote are the only place we find the gospel that saves us today. Then read the rest of your bible that is FOR us but not TO and ABOUT us. 94% of the bible is TO and ABOUT Israel, yes Israel. Don’t steal their mail and try to make it yours. And don’t be fooled by people who tell you, you need to do some good work to be saved or to stay saved or to prove that you are saved. That is not the gospel for us today which is a free gift of GRACE when we believe and trust in what Jesus did on the cross for our sins. Eph 2:8 KJV For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph 2:9 KJV Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Thank you, Justin for exposing Bill Johnson's Bethel Church. Your videos on YT were what brought my husband and I back to Reformed Theology. I grew up in the Presbyterian church but strayed away to the Charismatic church for many years, including The Foursquare Church. We've been in Reformed Christian churches for over 8 years now. A few years ago, we infiltrated Bethel Church in Redding, CA where they were in the middle of a conference. We wanted to see if it was a NAR church or not. We didn't have to wonder very long as we drove up that palatial promenade where we saw media interviewing attendees outside so we went inside the "campus" building (I can't call it a church). We felt very uncomfortable after entering this place but I believe we made the demons in there even more uncomfortable. We were chased out of the sanctuary (just went in the look for the Glory Cloud); I was chased out of even going into the Women's restroom and there were many signs on doors leading to off limit no go zones. We were able to go into the bookstore so we looked for what Christian authors might be on the shelves, along with the Bibles they sold. There were no Spurgeon, Watson, MacArthur or anything from the best Theologians of old or new. So we tried to find ANY Bible they were selling. The only thing they had to offer was Brian Simmons, "The Passion Bible" which isn't a Bible at all! It's his personal interpretation of the NT. I would not trust a Bible version done by one person without oversight. We did look into a conference room where they were teaching attendees how to learn to do miracles. We couldn't get out of there fast enough but I did lay my hands on a wall and prayed that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their heresy before we left the premises.

We knew that as part of this trip we were going to take tours of the Mormon Temple and the Hari Krishna temple. One of the leaders got us together and said that he had a very important video that he wanted us to watch in order to prepare for what we were going to see. He pops the VHS into the machine...and "It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" starts playing. We start giggling, thinking he maybe made a mistake? Nope. He doesn't say a word until the video is over. When it ends we're all wondering WHY he had us watch this? He said that what he wanted us to see in this silly video is how Linus was completely sincere in his belief about the great pumpkin, but he was sincerely wrong. He warned us that we would see a lot of people who were very sincere in their faith in whatever they believed, but they were sincerely wrong. He was right by the way.

I know what you mean, I was practically a shut in with no social contact and I just started getting these thoughts that if I died that night I'd go to hell (probably started with some health issues).
After trying to work my way to heaven by repentance for a few weeks or something I broke down one night and searched online "why can't I repent" and found the Gospel.

Amazing how you find these videos at the exact time you need them. This is a year old, and I'm just seeing it now. Lately, I've been tormented by the thought that I may be sifted among the tares on judgement day. I'm afraid that the Lord will say He never knew me. This terrifies me because I know there is no other way. He is my only hope. I feel this because there are sins I struggle with. Private sins that involve only me and a computer. The sorrow I feel is not related to being found out. I admit my struggle. My heart is ripped apart by the mere fact that I keep going back there. That isn't who I want to be, and I feel like I can't escape. Your closing comments are exactly what I needed right now.

I have been a charismatic / continuationist for 29 years now and have been in pastoral ministry for the last 17 years. I began speaking out against these False teachers several years ago and have lost many relationships because of it. What scares me the most is how intensely they come against me when I "dare to speak out against the man of God," but none of them can defend their teaching. I have even had several pastors admit that they cannot defend the teaching, but they are committed to the "miraculous thing happening there." Watching people who I know have been taught Biblical truth, and people who I have learned from over the years, so easily snowballed by false teaching that should be so obvious to them is the saddest thing I have encountered during my time in ministry. On the bright side, I have been able to open the eyes of multiple people who have woken up to this nonsense. Blessing on you Justin for the work you do.

@@singingtomycat1724 I think Justin has the absolutely correct view on his condition. I have had the opportunity to meet Justin briefly. Do I think that God will never heal him is not a very good question. The better question would be, "can God heal Justin," and the answer is yes. But God is not bound to our will or desires. We are bound to His. So, in that light, if God decides to heal Him, he will, but if He decides not to heal him, then Justin will minister for the rest of his earthly days as he is. But, at the end of his days, when he is called home, he will spend eternity fully healed and in a new glorified body. As Justin has said many times, spending the rest of his life crippled is fine with him if it serves the Lord because he will have the rest of eternity to enjoy his glorified body. In the end, the choice to heal or not heal belongs to the Lord.

Would you have any words of admonition for the Person who talked like that , Pastor ? I'm sure you would ! Our Salvation has be be received by a Conscience choice of the person , Right !? Well it is the same with the Divine Healing of our bodies; WE have to do something about it - it isn't just going to fall on us like Ripe Cherries fall of a tree on our head.
So Justin Peters will never be healed if he is waiting for God to it ... just like a Soul will never be Saved if they are in the same way waiting for God to Save him.

When in the youth group years ago we were all 13-14 years old. One Sunday the majority of the guys decided together it was time to go up front and asked to be saved, but I didn't go. I wasn't feeling it and could just follow them up there, but I just wasn't ready and I don't think any of them were either. I waited until I felt like I understood what it means and went up one Sunday alone, hard as it was(being alone) it just felt right. And today I am 43, have learned a lot since my mid 30's that just being dunked under water means nothing if you don't actually give your soul to God and try to live by his word. I am by NO means even close to what God asks of us, but I try to let my decisions and way of life be his path. And I try very hard to listen !!

@jamesmiddleton660 Well said but remember this: The immature christian says, Lord, I want to live my life for you. The MATURE christian says, Lord I want you to live your life through me. NOBODY should be walking down an aisle to get saved and should NEVER trust their feelings. God warns us not to use them. They are unstable and change from minute to minute. Like water baptism: it is an outward sign of an inward faith. The bible says, it is an answer of a good conscience towards God. It doesn't have to be public, but it can be, if you want it that way. It's still between you and God. Anyway, your story is well taken. Wait on the Lord for answers in your everyday walk, but as for your knowledge, Study to show yourself approved unto God..... Rightly dividing the word of truth. You come to God because God Calls you to himself. Everyone was born spiritually DEAD. A dead person can not call out to God. YOU had nothing to do with it. That is why we thank him for saving us. He did it all. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. So again, we had nothing to do with it. Listen to Real teachers, but the best one is the spirit himself, matching scripture with scripture. Happy Reading.

    • @jerrypotter4137
      @jerrypotter4137 ปีที่แล้ว

Tony: Hi. Justin doesn't have time enough to answer everyone so I'll help you. The "age of accountability' is for salvation and being held responsible for knowing about God and Jesus as God. The book of Numbers goes over it a little bit. There are a number of age groups that the Greek mentions such as, Breathos is a child about to be born but inside the womb, as well as just being born up to one year old. The next is Teknos which is One to five years. The next is Nipios which goes until ten years and ect. The story of a mother Bear that killed a "child" has the problem in translation. It was NOT a child. It was a boy of at least twenty years old. They were antagonizing the bear and she was defending her cubs. They brought it on themselves. Anyway, it comes down to being able to understand who God is, to the point of being able to explain it to someone else correctly. As far as the baptism goes; the bible tells you that baptism is the ANSWER of a good conscience towards God. That means they must comprehend what sin is and realize that they are in need of a Savior. They must know that Jesus is God and are able to make that statement and know it in their mind, as well as be able to confess it openly. The "good conscience" is an answer back to God about their sinful condition and repentance from those sins. The water of baptism represents a coffin of death when being immersed and saying good bye to the way the world thinks, and coming up out of the water is greeting the new life in Christ. Baptism comes After being born again. It is an outward sign of an inward faith. There is no point of getting baptized if you have not been born again lest knowing What you are being baptized for. Water baptism is not necessary for salvation but it still should be done once you understand what it is for. People don't understand Acts 2:38 because of the Greek used. If you respond to this and would like to learn about it, then I will tell you. The same goes for what "spiritual baptism" is. There is no such thing. The Spirit never baptized anyone. JESUS is the baptizer; not the spirit. The Greek prepositions of WITH IN BY MEANS OF and USING, are all the same. There is no difference. The Spirit is the method by which Jesus is using to place believers into the body of Christ: being the church. The Greek word is BAPTIDZO and it means to place into something. So Jesus is placing you into the body USING the holy spirit. The one and only verse that says what the spirit is for, is "For by, meaning BY MEANS OF, one spirit, were you all baptized into one body". Jesus is always the baptizer. Sorry this took awhile to explain but teachers are supposed to explain things and not just throw out verses that don't connect. Hope this helped. God is not a denomination and neither am I. Happy Reading.
